The MD 520N manufactured by MD Helicopters, Inc. - to feature the exclusive NOTAR® system for anti-torque and directional control. By replacing conventional tail rotors with the NOTAR system, the margin of safety immediately increases for crew and aircraft, and the noise decreases; making it an exceptional choice for operation in confined and densely populated areas.
The MD 520N is an agile and nimble helicopter that boasts a flight performance unparalleled by any other light twin in the world. It was designed to combine the maneuverability of single-engine helicopters with the speed, power, and efficiency of larger multi-engine models. The MD Helicopters MD 500 series is an American family of light utility civilian and military helicopters. The MD 500 was developed from the Hughes 500, a civilian version of the US Army's OH-6A Cayuse/Loach. The series currently includes the MD 500E, MD 520N, and MD 530F.
I absolutely love these things, such cool little helicopters. Great catch and nice close-up footage Ed!

Thanks, and never miss recording any Gazelle.
I will always record any Gazelle if I can, thank you for watching 👍😎
The flight of a winged aircraft i can understand the physics that are amazing on their own. A helicopters every single element of mechanical integrity is astonishing. Down to mere slivers of metal and composites. I bet MD could make a toaster that lasts longer than a year.....probably be about 7 grand though. Nice crystal clear footage !
You are probably right about the toaster. These helicopters are incredible fine tuned machines. Thank you for watching Brad 👍😎
