    Exposing skin to sunshine creates many different photoproducts that are important to our health, besides just vitamin D. When it hits our eyes indirectly it helps regulate our circadian rhythms and elevate mood. I've heard you should spend have the time in the sun that it takes you to burn, which is about 20 minutes for most lighter skinned folk and about 40 minutes for most darker skinned folk.

    Was torn between about three different types, a liquid dropper, sprayer(for the inside of the cheek) or gummies. All are vegan D3. I'm glad you gave the long winded answer because it sheds a lot of light in a short amount of time. This helped me decide, cheers.

    Thank you. *When* we expose our skin to the sun is critically important too: it's only the UVB rays, best when the sun is high like between 11am and 2pm that vitamin D is efficiently produced. So I've seen in videos etc. I get some of that sunlight and have also found vegan D3, tablets not capsules.

    Hello Doctor Klaper,
    What are your thoughts on Isotonic Drinks? I’m considering to buy a supplement which has Vitamin D3 and K2 in form of an isotonic drink.
    I don’t eat animal products and also rarely eat fermented food such as natto (I also don’t like natto).
    Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Don't use instagram or othr social m accts bc of stalker. So if anyone else has this question too maybe they can post it for me... how long can fresh produce be kept before you lose most of the good of it? Seems to me things like squashes and celery and even leafy herbs and chard and especially brassica can last an awfully ling time before they actually go bad but i imagine there's some point where they look ok but are a lot less nutritious..

    • @GlennMarshallnz
      @GlennMarshallnz 3 года назад +1

      Hi vegetables that require refrigeration (most veggies) decline in nutrients each day. If you can't eat within a couple of days then you frozen foods which retain their nutrients better. PS store bought 'fresh' veggies are normally already a couple of days old.

    Thank you, Dr. Klaper. You are a wealth of great info. I would like to note, though, when I was very low in Vit D some years ago, I tried the vegan muhroom source of 'D that
    you speak of, and it barely made any change in my levels after a few months. It went up a mere 4 points. I switched to D3 non vegan in a drop form, and my numbers moved to an excellent number within a few months. So I stay with that now.

      @@Elizerinc Elizabeth, I am currently taking Prairie Naturals in the dropper formula. It is a Canadian company.
      Initially I used Biotics, but switched. All drop versions will have a bit of oil. This one is olive oil, so maybe the best of that choice. The best way to know how much to take is to monitor every with blood test in 2 or 3 months to see where numbers are, because initially you may need more to start. In full transparency, because of covid I've not had a lab test for some while, but was maintaining good number before, so hopefully all stable. Wishing you all the best.

      You may not be using one that also has K2 in it? The K2 transports the calcium into your bones, making them strong. D3 without K2 keeps the calcium circulating in your bloodstream, damaging your arteries and organs.

    Hello Dr. Klaper, you are absolutely amazing. Let me first say, thank you so much for taking the time to put out all of these highly informative videos. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Daniel Issabey I am an R&B singer, dancer, actor, I have been vegan for 15 years and animal rights activist. With all due respect you need to get rid of this lady and have me be the host. The vegan community needs the right look, the right person, the right personality, I know that I am that, I say that humbly and modestly. It does not need more people that sound and look like just another, "Karen." Again, I apologize to her and anyone offended but for me the most important is preventing as many animals from all kinds of suffering, torture and ultimately death. That is accomlished by getting as many people to become vegan, promise you I am a thousand times better, 🙏😎🎉...
