- I've discovered a far better method to farm Monsters and their items in DQB2. We can also use this to our advantage and only use it for certain monsters like the Hargonaut that's carrying the Thunderbolt Blade, which many people are still searching for. Enjoy! :)

I don't comment on much but here's a few gratitude points all the same. It took me a few tries to figure out just the right spot to get the spawn point always in the trap. The height of the landing point tower really matters. Then I also learned that if you don't carefully keep the non-Hargonaut spawns outside, you'll rack up XP very quickly. 3-4 Bloody Hands and 2 Death Scorpions must be outside the trap near you when you warp, or they will respawn inside the trap. They have no respawn timer so they will constantly die and farm XP. The problem with that though is when you level up your game pauses waiting for you to hit a key to confirm. So now you're afk for who knows how long not actually farming Hargonauts. That and they like running too far away and respawning if you make it too big, too. So watch those details very carefully, and good luck. Over 250 and counting waiting on that 1st sword.

I spent so long killing so many of those things and using less efficient spike traps and still never got that drop. You're the best when it comes to this game dude.

Once you get your first Thunderbolt Blade, you will learn how to craft it. It's craftable at the Wizard's Workbench. However, learning the recipe is silent, as in, your character will not have a lightbulb and start writing the recipe down, so it's best to check your recipes using the Builderpedia or by checking a Wizard's Workbench after obtaining the sword.
for those who don't know, if you need to place a block just above you or break a block just above your head (and you don't have the buildnoculars) just switch your view to first person (it's quite useful)
I used to do this before I got the buildnoculars, saves a ton of effort and time.
Just what I needed... I just finished the story literally yesterday and I just missed that bloody sword! Time to farm!

You can always just grab it from the pot on the captains ship when on the last chapter.

Seems kinda crazy that you can kinda already have that weapon at this point in the game if you didn’t miss it(or if you just know it’s location from Ben’s other videos hahah)
But it’s basically 12 hrs story to get a weapon you can farm in an hour plus setting up the trap so like 1:30 total for time

Good for those who forgot to get it from malhalla. Best time to get it is when captain whitebones asks you to go and get the flag, then you can explore the broken ship before leaving. But if you ended up missing the item you can try to get it this way by building the traps and does not have to be earth blocks, just craft any block that is infinite this way you don't have to worry about losing it.
Ive been at this method for four days now and it hasnt dropped lol. He was super lucky to get it at six hours.

Am I the only one who found mine after digging in a toilet pot in a jail cell?
How you freeze your hunger lvl? You have to eat, but on time lapse it isn't changing from 25%
As long as you stand still and don't do anything your hunger meter won't drop. So you can basically stand in place over winter (hibernate) and you won't starve 😉
I never know that ppl suffering this much just to get that sword... I also missed the one on captain ship, but I get another on my first time at this explorer shore.... No clue where I get that sword from back then, guess my RBG was good.
Yeah I also got lucky and it dropped at the first or second skeleton kill 🙈
I have been really unlucky my most recent run. Started the island around level 43. Over 400 hargonauts later and still haven’t seen it and am almost ready to hit level 94.
this method should be updated, because I just tried this and the monsters spawned all over the area instead of one location.
In my trap the hargonauts didnt spawn. Can someone help
Where would be the best place to go to farm sea slime shells? I normally use spike traps near the dock on my Isle of Awakening, but curious if anyone has found a more quicker or more efficient way.
I believe sea snails drop them.

You can use the speed hack in cheat engine to speed this up... but that defeats the entire purpose.

Because I Was On Hunting Of Them To Explore Whole Map Of Isle Of Awakening And I Checked My Inventory And I Had That Sword Thunderbolt And I Watch This And I Check How Many Pink Skeletons With Blue Bones I Killed Than 3 Times And I Already Had The Sword Or Those Guys Pink Sea Creature

Late reply but here goes. I believe with +96 attack power it is the 4th strongest weapon the builder and certain villagers can equip. It is a one of a kind weapon and highly missable so you'll have to try this method to obtain it if you miss it.
My guess is that it is far more valuable to the 100% complentionist than it's actual use.
This got patched i think. Hargonaut info doesn't state any thunderbolt drop instead of a question mark. I tried long time without any drop
There was no patch after I made this video. I would just try to be patient. The random number genenerator god wasn't on your side this time, but I bet next time he will be! 😌

They can be found on Laguna Perfuma on the snowy ridges, or if you want the grey one, it's a boss on Rimey Reef.
They have like a 10% chance of coming with you.
