It’s not surprising. Weak people find god and MDE fans are generally weak/mentally ill. The "truth" is that you don’t know whether or not there is a god. There are no reasonable clues, only your emotions. Since you are mentally unstable, you become emotionally attached to the idea of a benevolent omnipotent being(if you are christian). What made me question everything was an article from back around 2005 from the Sydney Morning Herald. I think it was title 'On God, the universe and everything'. It talked about how physicists were shocked to learn that the fundamental constants of the universe were all just so, allowing for the emergence of stars, planets and eventually us. The fine tuned universe. Their only non-God explanation was the multiverse hypothesis. That way, if there's an infinite number of universes, it's not so strange that at least one of them is suitable for life. Even then, they're positing something infinite beyond the confines of this universe. But since we have sentience, that means the blue prints for sentience are ingrained into the universe. So it makes me sense to me that the infinite is also capable of sentience, and that ours is just a crude imitation of it.
I think Sam believes in God now. I’m not sure if he is a Christian or believes in Jesus, but he believes in God. I know he really dislikes atheists and their hubris of being so sure of themselves.
Nick is actually really smart but this is just one of those things he clearly hasn't given any real thought too, I've known so many people like this in my life where they just kinda do things and go from one moment to the other without much thought put into it but when it comes to deep thinking and introspection they don't really have anything to offer. That being said it's good to bring it up with them every now and then because it may be the catalyst that actually gets them to start thinking about it.

Poor nick got roasted lol he is a very intelligent man, this was probably a period in time where he was so busy with property management, vehicle sales, and owning a store that he had no real time to sit and think.
Yeah I've always figured this is how most people seem to operate, ironically even religious people are like this to where they just sort of accept the world around them or what they're told and go from one moment to the other without ever really stopping to think about existential subjects or questioning reality.

They both believe in God, specifically Christianity. Nick, the guy playing dumb goes to church nowadays and Sam is partial to Christ and God. They are also friends with Jay Dyer.

What made me question everything was an article from back around 2005 from the Sydney Morning Herald. I think it was title 'On God, the universe and everything'. It talked about how physicists were shocked to learn that the fundamental constants of the universe were all just so, allowing for the emergence of stars, planets and eventually us. The fine tuned universe. Their only non-God explanation was the multiverse hypothesis. That way, if there's an infinite number of universes, it's not so strange that at least one of them is suitable for life. Even then, they're positing something infinite beyond the confines of this universe. But since we have sentience, that means the blue prints for sentience are ingrained into the universe. So it makes me sense to me that the infinite is also capable of sentience, and that ours is just a crude imitation of it.
I think Sam believes in God now. I’m not sure if he is a Christian or believes in Jesus, but he believes in God. I know he really dislikes atheists and their hubris of being so sure of themselves.

Nick is actually really smart but this is just one of those things he clearly hasn't given any real thought too, I've known so many people like this in my life where they just kinda do things and go from one moment to the other without much thought put into it but when it comes to deep thinking and introspection they don't really have anything to offer. That being said it's good to bring it up with them every now and then because it may be the catalyst that actually gets them to start thinking about it.
