This is a really great video! It is really helpful how you showed comparisons of every single camera/video feature for both phones with various scenes to get an even bigger comparison of what people might be capturing
Got a question about some pics where there are buldings on it. Why does the 12 look as it would handle architectural lines (walls etc.) strangly compared to the 12 pro? the buildings seem to fall much more over than with the Pro. Is there a real differce here? i've seen that effect in another comparison video too. I know the phenomenon depends on the kind of lens used (tele or not), but I would think that in that side by side comparison 12 and 12 pro use the same lens at the same time (exept for when you really zoom in).
I got the 12 instead of the pro because of budget restraints. I'm very happy I didn't force the issue. I'm still pretty ecstatic after more than a month. 👌🏼
Great review and very helpful, thank you so much I've decided to go for the Blue 12 thanks to your comparison. The camera takes great shots and videos. I think honestly better than the 12 pro in my opinion.
I have to say, other than the super zoom pic of Nike store, and the pic of the camera "with sharper edges" , I literally thought every example was labeled accidentally in reverse. I say this because aside form the sharpness of mentioned above, the richness in every single photo and video was literally superior in the 12 OVER the 12 Pro (to me, of course). It's almost as if the Pro shots were simply having brighter contrast, (i.e. pale-er). I am VERY confused in this regard. But by what is presented here, it seems the regular 12 is actually a better photo/video capabilities. Also, I wish you said something and/or demonstrated the AUDIO , as in, INPUT, then played through some normal speaker device (ie speakers playing their input respective recordings). It was informing though and your good effort is definitely notable. Tnk You
i have an issue in my iPhone 12 Pro, when taking a video on the (0.5x ultra wide lens at 4k 60fps) when I touch the screen to focus i get very bad lagging and movement becomes very slow as if i’m watching a slow motion video.
@@muditdwivedi16 no, I upgraded from iPhone X. But I also keep a "S series" flagship from samsung. So one year I buy the latest S series phone, another year I buy the latest iPhone and the cycle continues
Hi there, is it worth to go for iPhone 12 pro for LIDAR sensor only?. because i'm cannot decide whether to buy iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 pro. Hope you can help me. Thank you
Hey Hariz. Is the LiDar of use to you? If not, please go for the 12. We've been extensively using the 12 and it performs so well. Only get the 12 Pro if you know you need a telephoto lens or LiDAR scanner. There's no denying that the LiDAR scanner helps with photography but even without it the 12 performs well.
@@GNTECHAE I don't think I'm gonna use telephoto frequently or got any use to me. Only LIDAR scanner that makes me think. But, what the use of LIDAR scanner?. i mean, how it will help with photography.
how similar would you say the video smoothness is? i could definitely tell a difference with the 4k 60fps dolby and 30fps dolby with smoothness, but, as the person filming this, if someone wanted to make a short film do you think the professionalism brought on by the smoothness is worth it to pay for? or is it so incredibly minute in your opinion you could get the same result with either?
Whenever we film such comparisons, we do them to see to it that it's used the way the everyday user would. Assuming you will be concentrating the stabilisation (either handheld or with an affordable gimbal like the Osmo), I feel the difference with reduce even more. Unless you specifically need 60fps, I suggest getting the 12.
iphone 12 or 12 mini camera is good enough as seen here. However the pro is more premium build with telephoto, lidar, 6 ram, brighter 800 nits display and 64gb more on the base model. With a cost of plus 200 dollars it might worth it.
Thx for sharing. I am getting the iPhone 12 mini to upgrade from my iPhone SE 2016. Camera is similar for the most part since sharing on social media is good enough with the 12mini/regular. Hopefully, 2021 iPhone will be a better improvement as I am interested in the rumors for that year's iphone line.
I don’t understand why everyone keeps saying that the iphone 12 only has 5x digital zoom when the apple website says that the iphone 12 has 2x optical zoom and the rest is digital up to 5 while the iphone 12 pro has 4x optical zoom and the rest is digital up to 10. Am I missing something?
Apple's marketing material is carefully curated. Moving from the 0.5x ultra-wide lens to the 1x wide lens is effectively 2x optical zoom. Likewise, from 1x to 2x is also optical zoom hence, the zoom range on the iPhone 12 Pro is (2x2 = 4x optical zoom). For the iPhone 12, the same 2x telephoto zoom from the ultra-wide lens applies but here, there is no extra telephoto lens which means the optical zoom range is (2x1 = 2x optical zoom). In layman's terms, people saying 5x digital zoom are the ones that are correct. Hope that clarifies!

do you think the telephoto would be reason enough to upgrade? It would be pretty much the only reason for me
If you don't find yourself taking too many portrait shots or zoomed in shots. Then not at all. Go for the 12
I will take the iphone 12

Sounds like a software issue. Is your phone completely up to date? Maybe a quick restart of the device? We have no such issue on our unit.
