    Same issue with my Audi A3 2019 35 TFSI. Went to the garage, they couldn’t find anything. I think that there is a leaf somewhere stuck. Turning out the heater I don’t hear the sound

    Is it only when you drive ? On bumps? With air condition off?

    I don't have this one but I have plenty others. I can't understand where the noises come from. One comes from under the passenger seat when I accelerate I hear a "clack" . the other comes from inside each door whenever there's a bump or weight transition. The other comes from the back somewhere inside the plastics near the window. Other seems that the windshield is loose and it rattles sometimes. Other seems like the all dashboard hits something. I'm going nuts plus I hate the engine. I miss my golf mk4...

    I had this rattle and many more. Audi denied any responsibility after months of them trying to sort it out. All I got was fobbed off with grease for the seals and that's it. Very unhappy with audi UK. Once my deals up its going back and the BMW coming back. The second u put pen to paper and spend 30k on a car, is when they stop caring about you and Ur car

      Matt Cooper couldn’t agree more! Had the issue for about 2 years and they deny anything wrong. Now it’s got worse. I hate driving the car now. Audi UK are just awful.

      I think I've got this noise with my Audi A3. At first I thought it was door and speakers related, but thought the sound was higher and therefore couldn't be the door. Then I thought a windscreen defect. Upon watching you video this noise sounds just what I've got. How did you stop the rattle? Cheers.

      Im also looking for solution.. whats the reason behind this noise?

    • @jpaudet
      @jpaudet 6 лет назад

      I narrowed mine down to two places. There is something loose underneath the glovebox area and there is a small plastic flap underneath the car on the undercarriage that was not properly in place. When I tightened up the glovebox area and folded the plastic undercarriage piece back up the noise went away.

      Hi as mad as it sounds but it’s the handbreak cable. Mine was doing the same I looked everywhere for it as I thought the noise was coming from front my mrs thought it was the back and my friend said it sounded like it was coming from the other side haha. Till I used my handbreak to skid in the snow and the noise got louder so I was playing around with it while I was traveling. I took it to the garage and the man checked the cable and told me it was on it’s way out. Changed it and the noise has gone. Strange I know as the handbreak worked perfectly fine before this.

      My 2012 Audi Q3 had this kind of rattle when steering wheel was pulled back as far it goes. Sound goes away when steering wheel is moved little bit forward.
      Tip: hit the steering wheel (10 o’clock) when steering wheel is pulled back. This was how I was able to reproduce the rattle without need for a test drive.

    my 2016 a3 has the same problem. It happens much more when the weather is cold. If I firmly press my fingers to dashboard just right of the air went, rattle is gone. I sent the card to service, they said they insulated air went and it actually helped some. Now the noise kind of disappears after driving 5-10 minutes unless I go over bumps etc. I think they could not fixed the problem making this sound but just tried to make it harder to hear. Anyone had any luck to find the cause of this rattle?

    I have the same crap coming from dashboard of my A6 C7. Audi is a piece of crap... I am so stupid that I sold my BMW F10...

    • @dmaskell92
      @dmaskell92 8 лет назад

      +stanleyyyyyyyyyyy There's a reason why the 2006 e46 cost around $5500, and the 2006 Audi A4 cost $10000. Audi's hold value better than BMW. Also they are essentially the same car, manufactured a few miles apart. I own the e46 and A4, both are great cars.

      +dmaskell92 I agree, this rattle is not that bad.. but my A6 had too many other issues (MMI screen did not pop up, parking camera was lagging, I had problems with auxiliary heating, too much wear on "leather" on the seats squeaking window trims, etc...), so I decided to sell it and buy a new F31 328i xDrive... And I am very very happy now :)

      stanleyyyyyyyyyyy I've had a hand full of problems with my e46, and a4. They both just have qwerks, like the e46 lock button breaking etc. Also the a4 has trunk latch issues. It's just picking your poison. Got to love German cars though. I personally like my e46 more than the a4, mainly because it has 2 extra cylinders. The a4 is better on fuel and is turbo'd so I still love it.
