- Sometimes Surface lofting a canopy on a model is difficult. This is my workaround to make it perfect! This is going to be a giant scale radio controlled F16 EDF Fan Jet. After extracting data from a low poly model as a starting point, this video moves in to surface lofting.

Great one, thanks! I guess the air inlet transition to the body is even more challenging, as I struggled in the past to create a smooth transition for all the surfaces there. If you could make another video explaining your technique for this junction it would be very appreciated :)

Good question. My goal is to CnC foam cut this model. The machine I have access to is enormous. 5' x 10 foot bed, but the z axis is limited. I'm thinking about 6 feet in length so that would put it at about a 1/8 scale model.
@@redbaronrc nice. I am in the idea phase of designing a 1/8 scale that can be 3d printed. It will be fun to watch your progres and maybe share some ideas and maybe have some common parts used :)
