Hey buddy, I live in Florida hurricane Michael destroyed my home as well as billions in damage. Just wanted to say your channel has been the reason iv actually been able to enjoy my evenings. Just wanted to say thank you. Love your work. Be blessed my friend.
I'm very intrigued with abandoned prisons. They are mysterious and chilling at the same time. Glad you take me! My son lives in a historic old hotel from the old mining days, converted into apartments. It's haunted, in fact the whole main street is haunted. And NO I will not visit him. Nor go past the Library on Main. Great vid and thank you for taking me along!😊👍❤
Lol I love that you did this video! I love in coalfield right down the road from brush mountain prison and I've been in it a lot and I've worked up there tearing stuff down before it opened for the tours, it was a whole different experience before it opened to everyone. Definitely an amazing place full of history.❤❤
Hey! Back to the abandoned train! Sweet! 👍 "Apparently the guy who drives the train is called the commodore." 😂 FYI train tracks DO, in fact, have speed limits; the limit depends on the track conditions, particularly the sharpness of curves. Everything is written in French, and there's a place to put bicycles. It almost seems like that train is out of Europe... I don't think that's right, taking the gravestones off the graves. I agree with you, Jacob. Whatever those men did their families might very well appreciate being able to visit their grave sites, and they've been robbed of that. 😢 I remember that mural of the dude relaxing in the hammock; you showed that last time you were here. 😄
Another great Vlog, keep up the good work! Love the fact that you three did the same vlog but they all are a little different and interesting. love them all.
It's too bad the train has been so vandalised. Thanks for the revisit to the prison it has really changed. Very cool that it's open to the public. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
Actually trains do have speed limits. Depending on track conditions, train consist, etc. With some exceptions, passenger trains in the US are limited to 79 mph. Freight trains are usually under that.
Very true and they are actually lower now then in years past as the lines have aged especially in the north east. They talked about speeds when someone asked how fast an old steam powered could go. As it was preparing to go out for one of it's rare trips.
When you said you were in the "middle of nowhere", I was reminded of The Talking Heads song "Road to Nowhere" I wonder what it would take to get that train running and where the tracks would lead. 6:35 that is not a cage to lock anyone up in. It is a cage to lock up chemicals and cleaning supplies. (I work in a jail) I am sure if you (or anyone for that matter) would take the story of the inmate graves to the local media, they could raise enough interest to force the state to exhume those graves and do DNA testing for identification, and inform the families so they could do a proper burial.
Also Dozier School for boys was a old prison/boys school in FL, they have been digging up bodies for years it's a rundown study for anyone looking for history after the Government found 100s of unmarked graves.. worth a Google for you and maybe a trip :)
Hi Jacob another great video very interesting and another place to check out when I get vacation time drone footage was also great thanks for sharing this with us :)
Carpetbagger!my family are carpetbaggers too! Go to Wilmington!there are so many biazare and interesting places and people there.i only saw u there once:/ one good legend is the pirate tunnels....u can totally access them by looking at old blue prints and stuff at the library! but are slowly being demolished by new construction.
They also do pirate replicas (ships and reenactments and have lots of bizarre artsy places and oddities and musems! They r difficult to find though because they r like..local secrets!they don't advertise to the public. The juggling gypsie, the haunted ww2 ship,etc...etc..
Wasn't this the Prison where you, Adam and a dozen other RUclipsrs played that shooting game a few years ago? Solitary confinement and Death Row (where it applies) tend to be the most haunted areas of any prison.
Leaving prison turn left on 116 over the mountain to fork mountain you'll see old buildings that was the old coal wash it will be on the right side of the road train is behind the buildings
The Cage in the laundry room is a time out room designed to hold a prisoner working down there should he start a fight so that he is secure until he can be thrown in the hole for his stepping out of line.
Some of the more common prisoner grievences are much more serious than "it sucks". Often it involves sexual abuse, bribery, illegal activity amongst guards and wardens, denial of assistance in life and death issues etc. In womens prisons they like to deny the women pads and tampons in exchange for "favors"
It is horrid to have taken the markers. Prisons make tons of money off of prisoners way more than a damn headstone costs. I find it immoral nad criminal. Who ever made that decision belongs in prison
How about you stop being a dick? Jacob makes great videos for us to enjoy and is blessed enough to do something he loves for a living. If you don't like what he does and that he makes money doing so, you're free to watch other people's videos. We won't miss you here.

Sorry about your home... my mom also lives in Florida, but in Clearwater
Thank you
So sorry to hear about your home Casey. Warms my heart that Jacob is able to bring you some joy in this dark time!
Cheers Jacob, pretty cool. Thank you x
Would be cool to stay overnight in the train all those comfy looking seats like a spooky night in the woods on an antique train

I laughed for a long time over "this prison suckssss". Lmao I'm tired right now and easily amused so I definitely laughed more than necessary. Lol
I miss seeing you wear your pith helmet. Your vlogs are always fun to watch.

I about lost it when you were talking about the ghost cigarette.
Yes! I've been waiting for this one. Great job.
That's so sad all of those people are buried and forgotten.
It's too bad the train has been so vandalised. Thanks for the revisit to the prison it has really changed. Very cool that it's open to the public. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
Good to see you back in my next door county, Jacob. Hope things are going well for you as you have moved into your full time vlogging/creating world!

All little boys need to play with buttons. 😁🤣

the commodore is the new train captain, oh boy jacob
Saw New River written on the train.. reminded me of Rafe Hollister singing Riding Along the New River Train on Andy! :-P
Your reaction to the toilet full of shit was just hysterically funny !
Also Dozier School for boys was a old prison/boys school in FL, they have been digging up bodies for years it's a rundown study for anyone looking for history after the Government found 100s of unmarked graves.. worth a Google for you and maybe a trip :)

Great vid, I seen all 3 of you guys videos, and reason your the only one to totally cut Adam out? Just seemed strange.
Wasn't this the Prison where you, Adam and a dozen other RUclipsrs played that shooting game a few years ago?
Solitary confinement and Death Row (where it applies) tend to be the most haunted areas of any prison.
2:35 *says toot toot as he pulls the reverser* lol
Have the efforts to turn part of the prison into a county jail been abandoned? It still says in Wikipedia that that is intended...
The end of the line meant your sentence was until death, convicts got 200 years.
We went to Brushy the week of 4th of July 2019.
The whole gravestone thing is crazy/weird/sad
GOOD VIDEO THANK YOU
I quit commenting on your videos don't want you to feel like I'm a creeper or troll. Always great vid's thank you.

I wonder who gave the okay to dig up all those gravestones?

Leaving prison turn left on 116 over the mountain to fork mountain you'll see old buildings that was the old coal wash it will be on the right side of the road train is behind the buildings

Pretty sure grievance box was filed in drawer 86 :/.
The prison was very interesting
I did not get a postcard in October...I guess it got lost.
Pull the brakes !!! Baggger !!!! 😄
Offenders in Tennessee would've been better off going to Federal Prison than Brushy.
That's actually messed up that they took all the grave stones, convicts or not they were still people
What is the name of John's Channel?! I believe I'm subscribed to it, but I can't remember the name.

It's over the mountain on Hwy 116 to Fork mountain I believe behind the old coal wash plant, it's not far at all from the prison
No One likes a Snitching Deer!!........
Mr Carpetbagger what states is this prisons in?

All your disrespectful remarks concerning the Brushy Mountain inmates will come back to haunt you.
I live a few minutes away from there
I work in Oak Ridge. I've been over that way, but not since they've opened it up.
There were no lunch ladies in prison . . . wake up
And thats why do your homework kids
