Cruise Ship Specialty Dining (Royal Caribbean Chops Grille Food & Menus)

- We've been to various specialty dining restaurants on our cruises throughout the years, and one of the best we experienced was Royal Caribbean's Chop's Grille "New American" steakhouse while aboard the Enchantment of the Seas. See Chop's Grille menus (including the kid's menu) plus the foods we ordered, the highlights of which being the Chilled Imperial Seafood Tower and the 16 ounce USDA Prime Bone-In Ribeye. The seafood tower had an extra surcharge of $39, but as you can see it is well worth it. It came with 8 Jumbo Shrimp, 12 Green-Lipped Mussels, 12 Clams, 10 Jonah Crab Claws, and 2 Whole Maine Lobster Tails. The ribeye steak certainly lived up to its menu description of "well marbled for peak flavor, deliciously juicy", lol.
Other highlights included:
* Jumbo Lump Crab Cake (Appetizer)
* Rack of Lamb (Main Entree)
* New York Cheesecake (Dessert)
* Key Lime Meringue Pie (Dessert)
Note that even though the official cost of Chop's Grille rangers between $35 to $49 per person on the various Royal Caribbean cruise ships, you may be able to strike a discount. Your main dining room server may try to convince you to sign up for a reservation, and you can ask for a discount then, or if you have a child, they may be able to have him or her eat for free.
This was from our February 2020 cruise aboard the Enchantment of the Seas, a month before cruises were suspended. Hopefully things will be getting better in the summer with improved testing to enable cruises to resume later in the summer!

You guys make the best cruise food videos on RUclips. All the dishes are called out with proper labels, pictures are CLEAR and then best of all, you get to see the actual tasting. I’m taking a Royal Caribbean cruise to Alaska July 2021 (fingers double crossed) and because of these videos I know exactly what to expect. Brava!

I'll be travelling solo, and the tower looks a bit over the top for one. I also don't care for chilled lobster as I find it hurts the flavor. The lamb chops look fabulous.

Hi there, my wife and I love watching your reviews of various foods. That Imperial Seafood Tower looked awesome. We're still hoping our July 26 cruise on Celebrity Summit to Bermuda is on, but we're not expecting good news. We're already booked for May 2021 10 day on Summit to Bermuda so we'll just use our FCC towards that. Stay safe and my wife asks how you stay in shape eating all those wonderful foods.

Good video of Chops overview! We were on Rhapsody of the Seas and ate at Chops...since this was a smaller RCCL ship I was excepting a not so good meal. Not only did we have an amazing meal, we got a super deal of 30/person flat fee including tip. Embarkation day they were offering Chops at 40-45/person plus tip. As the cruise continued day after day, we got an offer one day from someone just walking around the windjammer during breakfast time. He offered a one time deal of 30/person w/tip included. I agreed on the spot because listed price on embarkation day was 47.99(I guess no one really pays this price after all).
We too got the seafood tower and I think we got lucky because ours came with the cocktail shrimp that you did not have to peel. I will def return to Chops on our cruise next year and will be ordering the seafood tower!
Thanks for sharing your Chops Grille experience! Ours was similar in terms of being sold on it. It shows that it's probably not a good idea to book ahead of time if you want to save some money. The seafood tower was definitely worth the money 😋

At least she knows how to use a knife n fork, when in a restaurant.... FOODS AMAZING, my sister n her family used to have 4 cruises a year, 24 hour buffet is a must eat... My niece always puts weight on while on a cruise ship, sapling nearly all of the food...

As a new cruiser this summer, is all the main entrees in Chops (excluding the seafood tower) included with the unlimited Dining package?
Yup- you can order 2 apps, 1 main & 1 dessert
Hi my wife and I enjoy your cruise videos with the information provided is very helpful for our cruise planning. On your Chops Grill food menu review, did you purchase the dining package or without at $59 pp? When dining at Chops Grill specialty restaurant, are you able to order more than 1 entree and 1 dessert per person ?
You might be able to order more than 1 dessert if you ask nicely 😁 But yeah they probably won't let you order more than 1 entree, but you do get 2 appetizers. We didn't get the dining package, but we got a lower price for Chops Grille because our waiter was trying to sell it.

So glad you finally got a decent Crab Cake. Thanks for another great review. Quite a nice specialty dinner, although the included dinner was mostly quite good. So far the only item MSC does better is the pizza, and they should being Italian. Overall, seems Royal Caribbean has better food than MSC.

crab cakes are often not very good since crab is expensive. Those look more than acceptable.

Nope- if it's a fixed price you usually only get to pick one main entrée and dessert, though depending on the restaurant, you might be able to get 2 appetizers.
I love how she smells every bite before she eats. She makes every meal look even more appetizing!

We actually specifically asked the waiter how many apps we can order and he said 1 soup or salad and 1 app, So that is not the case in your experience?
@@TravelTouristVideos They are strict about having only one entree per person but they always let me have more than one appetizer. I would get the lobster bisque, jumbo shrimp cock tale and the bbq bacon slice. I'm inspired to get the lamb next time instead of the filet mignon.

Were all the food included in the $50 per person fee?
It was- the seafood platter was extra, however. You may be able to get in for less than $50 per person since your server at the main dining room may offer it to you at a lower price. If not it doesn't hurt to ask.

You pretty much get half (1 lobster tail instead of 2, 4 jumbo shrimp instead of 8, etc). Interestingly the "Grande" is $19 while the "Imperial" is $39, so you can save $1 if you order two of the Imperial 🙂
A big shrimp is called a Prawn. Shrimps are the little things. It was a Prawn cocktail, looked lovely.
Thanks for the info- we've seen them called prawns as well. The menu called them "Colossal Shrimp Cocktail" and the ones on the seafood tower "Jumbo Shrimp". They were certainly big ones!

Sounds like the prime rib had proper amounts of marbling in it to give it that nice fat juicy tender flavor

We personally like rack of lamb a little more, but if you enjoy steaks definitely go for one of those instead.

Yeah Chops Grille didn't let us pick more than one entrée per person so it was harder to order more to show, but we'll keep that in mind next time 🙂
