Dude at the combine he ran a 4.4 and he's an absolute moster in the weight room. He's a 6 foot running back that back squated 525 for 5 reps and cleaned 405. He's a shorter Bo Jackson dude.
The stadia and crowd sizes at college games are considerably larger than at professional games. Penn State's home stadium holds a capacity of 106,572. It is the third largest stadium in the world. In fact, there are twelve college arenas larger than the largest NFL facility. There are about 120 universities and colleges that field Division 1 football teams and hundreds more at lower levels. I played at a Division 3 school, and our home crowds typically numbered about 14,000.
IB-13 Division III is the lowest level of athletic competition at the college/university level of American sports. Division III schools tend to have small enrollments, are not permitted to offer athletic scholarships for players, and rarely produce athletes that advance to the professional level of whatever sport they may play. Division III schools are often privately funded, or affiliated with a given religious denomination (mine is run by Benedictine monks of the Roman Catholic Church). Although, there are D3 schools that are publicly funded by state governments. D3 players are generally what one might call quite athletic compared to the general population, but by no measure elite.
Hey Jacob! I've been loving these videos, especially ones like these showing college highlights. You should check out the Army-Navy rivalry, they are two military service academies with one of the best and oldest rivalries in all of football. Most of them never go to the NFL because they have to serve in the Army or the Navy for the next five years after they graduate. One notable Army grad is Alejandro Villanueva who was a wide receiver, earned a Bronze Star for Valor in Afghanistan and served with the 75th Ranger Regiment. He then came back to football and switched to OFFENSIVE TACKLE and now is a total stud for the Pittsburgh Steelers! Check out his story man you'll love it
Love listening to your accent. Penn State Alum and fan here. We have loved watching Saquon play. We've called him our beast and our freak. We are going to miss him. He's an all-around great guy too. I was at the Rose Bowl game (the #1 in the clip) and I was horse by the end of it. We unfortunately lost by 3 points but it was exciting; it was also the highest scoring Rose Bowl in its history (total points). Thank you for enjoying him!
I could feel your anticipation as you read up on Saquon before clicking on the video, Jacob. You can't fake that. It is so refreshing to see a European athlete or sports fan be that enthusiastic about watching an American football player. Most of my (limited) interactions with European sports fans have led to a *shrug* of the shoulders when the discussion of American football comes up. I get a lot of "I hate that they call it football," and "why do they stop the play so much," etc. You clearly have an understanding of the chess match taking place in between the hashes and I truly enjoyed watching you get to experience an all-world athlete doing his thing. I think you need to get the NFL Pass, my friend. You just gained a subscriber. +1
Only a matter of time before he watches Aaron Rodgers, the guy that was throwing to jordy Nelson if you remember, THE G.O.A.T watch Joseph Vincent one though
6:21 #4 for Washington chased him down. If he'd had 10 more yards to go he would've been caught and saquon Barkley Is not in the slightest slow so props to him.
Darth Celsius dont mean Sequan Barkley college tape is worth his time. He want to see the NFL for what it truly is and learn it and love then players without a single snap in the NFL wont help. Ray lewis is not Brian Dawkins. Not all the same person. Wasting this dudes tine. Barkley may be a dud. Never know until he plays jn the league. Plenty of should be great backs that didnt pan out.
Great video! Saquan is actually from the Lehigh Valley which is where I live so he's a true inspiration around here. Also, his 40 yard time is actually 4.40! He can easily make it 4.30 too since he was a track star
You only got a taste of how loud and crazy it is when Beaver Stadium gets rocking. Saquon took the first snap of the game to the house against Michigan last year and it sounded like the stadium was going to collapse. Over 100k in attendance, many inebriated from drinking all day. Saquon is a beast in the weight room- he holds all the RB lifting records at PSU and at the combine benched more than lot of linemen. His leg strength allows him to stay low to the ground which allows him to cut with power and instant speed. His balance is also great. On top of all that he is a genuinely good person, coachable and humble. I hate the he is a Giant but wish him well when he isn't playing Philly.
JJ Watt hasn't been great in years. Not saying he wasnt great but Kuechly is quickly becoming one of the best mainly because he runs the defense. He read the offense and sets up the defense. When Kuechly is in the game other teams rarely get large gains on the ground. Watt does his thing but very few can do what Kuechly does.
That step you see usually behind the line of scrimmage is called the Counter Step ( a pre-planned juke). It is major component of a category of plays called "Counter". The offense "shows" a run or pass to one direction, then the QB,RB,FB,WR runs/throws counter (opposite) . The runner slips through the open space left by the defenders who "bought" on the faint. Or the QB has a better chance of finding an open target with the defense defending "the run" or pass to the other side. If it "sells" then the blockers "seal" off the defenders who "bought" on the faint." Counter stepping" is basic footwork that all skill players (QB,RB,FB,WR,TE,CB,SS,FS) in football train to perfect. Hence the success or in some cases failure of juking or even the counter play itself. Everybody knows the counter. What matters is how well it is "sold", the skill of the players and most importantly the vision of the coach in knowing the best time and in which situations to attempt it. The Counter is a basic football concept that is practiced even at the children's recreational level (Children's football leagues) not to be confused with the later organized school leagues starting in Junior High School (6th - 8th or 9th grade) and High School (9th or 10th-12th grade) levels. As such counter stepping is basic footwork practiced by all skill position players, even some linemen and linebackers practice it in order to disrupt the other guys attempt to do his job. The Defense also has defensive counter play variations that could be considered as baiting a trap for the Offense to walk into. Great channel bro. I am a fan. Good Luck and continued success
If you’re gonna start watching the nfl live don’t give up on it the first time u watch some games are extremely boring and some are very exciting you should pick a favorite team and watch them throughout the year
You gotta check out Alvin Kamara and Brian Dawkins. Kamara is a running back that just won Offensive Rookie of the Year and Brian Dawkins is a retired safety. And always watch Joseph Vincent's videos, he's the best for sports videos.
I was at the Indiana game (highlight number 5, where you were impressed by the crowd). In actuality, there were about 110,000 fans in the stadium. It was incredible.
As someone who has Penn State season tickets, I can honestly say that these past seasons with Saquon have been some of the most exciting games to watch. He is an incredible athlete, and a good person. Sad to see him leave, but he has to much potential to stay at the collegiate level.
You should watch the channel JustBombsProductions he makes a lot of quality highlights of college and former college players that are going pro. I suggest his Baker Mayfield or Lamar Jackson videos. I may be a little bias but as a Texas tech fan his Patrick Mahomes video is good but all the highlight videos he makes are amazing. By the way college football is really exciting and sometimes bigger than nfl games depending what game it is. Also his Jakeem Grant video is good if you like jukes and fast players you’ll like it.
The preseason starts in August (each team plays 4 games). The starters just play to get a little rhythm and for coaches to determine which players to cut and keep as backups. The real season (the regular season) starts in early September
The Games in August for the NFL are preseason. The Regular Season starts in the beginning of September. The NYG first regular season game is against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Verdin 2020 I take back Barry sanders, I actually believe Bo Jackson is the G.O.A.T. of RB's. In his 4 year career (I think it was 4 years) he had the biggest impact
Watching college football is key. It makes watching the draft fun. Then to see those guys blossom from college stud to hall of famer. “Sometimes”. Good stuff.
@7:23 when he mentions the crowd... you have no idea the half of it if you've never experienced it in person. Happy Valley on college game day and White Out is truly an incredible experience. The energy in the town and stadium is better than any other sporting event i've ever been to. And when they start Zombie Nation it gets crazier. Was there for the Indiana game and the white out comeback against OSU.
React to David Johnson he is a relatively new running back for the cardinals who was drafted in the 4th round of the draft. (By Joseph Vincent) Edit: He is considered to be one of the best running backs in the league and got over 1000 rushing yards and receiving yards in one season.
Some great insights into the College game came from the 30 for 30 documentiries especially the "The U". It Taught an Rugby man from Ireland all about the the sport!
While it may sound odd, top tier college program's stadiums tend to have higher crowd capacities than NFL teams, NFL stadiums do tend to have nicer amenities in the stadium and built more recently (since tend to occasionally blackmail their city with threats of relocation to other city/state unless get money for either new build or major renovation)
Jay Manning USC had a 34 game winning streak Texas had a 19 winning streak ...first time in history that ever happened .. two hiesman winners and 1 that should of won, who got 2nd .. usc was concidered the best team of the last 50 years ... it was the most anticipated college game of all time .. and then the game was won in the last seconds .. how can you beat that
Just to shed some light on the size of the crowd comment. Beaver Stadium(Penn St's Home Stadium) has an official seating capacity of 106,572, Making it currently the 2nd largest stadium in the ENTIRE Western Hemisphere and 3rd largest in the entire world. The highest ever recorded attendance at a home game was this past season Vs Michigan when 110,823 people were in attendance.
Tristan Blue Bandwagon? I've been a die hard eagles fan since mcnabb stfu kid I've been thru the good and bad with this team. You just mad them weak ass cowboys not on shit 😂
If you're also doing college players, watch Braxton Miller. Played QB for Ohio State until he tore his labrum in his throwing shoulder in the final game his junior year. Came back too early and tore the same thing prior to the beginning of his senior season and redshirted (didn't play, in NCAA you have 5 years to use 4 years of eligibility). OSU won the national title that year. Upon returning as a redshirt senior he moved to wide receiver (where he currently plays in the NFL for the Houston Texans.) Electric athlete.
Dude at the combine he ran a 4.4 and he's an absolute moster in the weight room. He's a 6 foot running back that back squated 525 for 5 reps and cleaned 405. He's a shorter Bo Jackson dude.
Jake Berube nah fam.... Barkley is a bust
Bullet Ant u just a hater bro
Calling him a shorter Bo is going way to far
Bullet Ant lol you don’t know what real talent is only thing your good at is starting shit online 😂 pos
Lane Beckner never said he wasn't good but... Barkley will be out of the league in four years
He actually got a 4.40 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine you must’ve read his college one or something
Nick Bronson sometimes Wikipedia gets peoples info wrong
He actually hit 4.33 at Psu.
He also had a 420 bench
600 squat
405 clean
And some other very high numbers
I was gonna say this lmao
Nick Bronson he was looking at his high school 40
E Duncan and a 40inch vertical or somethin stupid
We're all excited to see him. He's a stud. Also the 4.66 was his 40 time coming into college. His 40 time at the combine was 4.4
Penn State attendance averages 106,000 for home games. Quite an experience, specially during white out games.
At the NFL combine:
40 Yard Dash: 4.40
Bench Press: 29 Reps at 225 lbs
Vertical Jump: 41 Inches
At 233lbs. That is insane. He is a freak athlete. And he is a great guy, hard not to like him even though he plays for a division rival.
You should react to Randy Moss arguably the best Wide receiver of this era. 6'4 220 pounds and ran a 4.25 40 yard dash absolute freak of nature
July not a legit 40
Yeah We'll never know. Although I think most site reference him running a 4.18 40. Fastest WR Ive ever seen.
Jack Naughtin fastest ever 40 was a 4.12 by...
Christian Coleman lmao not Bo Jackson
Waste Of Oxygen They’re talking about football players not a track sprinter
Jack Naughtin Fastest 40 in NFL history is 4.22
Alvin kamara rookie of the year bro
Can't wait until he reacts to Alvin Kamara

Or watch Saquon Barkley’s nfl combine he put up ridiculous numbers
House of Highlights yeah. His combine was bananas. As a Cowboys fan, I'm not looking forward to playing him twice a year.
Do it!!!
Dayne Joseph how do you think I feel as an eagles fan, Elliot and Barkley twice a year ...
Vince Jr lol
Highlight Central yeah I’m a PSU fan, when I heard him say 4.66 I knew instantly that was wrong.

Bryson Suen You’ve got a point sir lol
So is Harrison Smith and Joey bosa
Bryson Suen he hasn’t played a full season in 2 years
JJ Watt hasn't been great in years. Not saying he wasnt great but Kuechly is quickly becoming one of the best mainly because he runs the defense. He read the offense and sets up the defense. React to the rules of football lol, no offense but it hurts a little watching you figure it out haha
I like that idea! :D
Jacob McDonald love these videos! Keep it up!
Jacob McDonald also with touchdowns, it's just about getting the ball over the line, body position doesn't really matter

Emmanuel Garcia yes please
Just to shed some light on the size of the crowd comment. Beaver Stadium(Penn St's Home Stadium) has an official seating capacity of 106,572, Making it currently the 2nd largest stadium in the ENTIRE Western Hemisphere and 3rd largest in the entire world. The highest ever recorded attendance at a home game was this past season Vs Michigan when 110,823 people were in attendance.
Love seeing this as a Penn Stater especially when he was shocked by the student section, WE ARE!
You should react to Carson Wentz. He's the future star of quarterbacks in this league and his team just came off a superbowl #flyeaglesfly
TheOnly MikeD oh god bandwagon be gone

I watched that USC one live. I had to pick my jaw off the floor, absolutely insane.
He ran a 4.40 40 yard dash (laser timed) at the NFL Combine, and has run 4.36 before hand timed.
Do Carson wentz his the bestquarterback and might be your favorite

FYI: make sure that you check NFL combine stats not just high school stats. Barkley ran a 4.4 sec 40 at the NFL combine
Another amazing college football athlete was Denard Robinson out of Michigan. He was a QB that could run like crazy.
He's called Quadzilla for a reason😂 those quads
This might be at the white out game that happens at Penn State every year. It's a beautiful thing to witness.
