Clearly Mad Dog is the only one with sense. Saquon Barkley is not fixing the Giants and when is the last time a RB who has gotten paid delivered a super bowl????
Why are they talking about Saquan leaving the Giants still? They should be talking about how the 49ers and Bengals continue to struggle and lose games.
Is it better for Saquon to be away from the Giants? Of course. Would it be better for Nabors to be away from the Giants? Obviously. Would it be better for any top flight player to be off any bad teams? Goes without saying. But it's not better for those teams who still need to compete despite being undermanned. The ONLY possible justification would be if the salary spent on the star could be reallocated to other players who in total make the team better. But the damage to the Giants in terms of reputation, in terms of attracting free agents, is immeasurably bad. It will be known as the new "Curse of the Bambino". Giants will continue to struggle for the foreseeable future.
I can’t lie when mad dog first joined the show , I hated him .. I called him a “watered down skip “ but lately I find mad dog hilarious .. he knows he’s being a hypocrite & he’s ok with that
Maddog is basically showing the problem with NY sports organization is the arrogance of every front office. Giants, Knicks, Jets, Mets and Yankees. Majority of the moves these teams make are head scratchers even for a casual fan..
they gave up saquon for because they wanted to pay him 9 million a year vs the 12.5 that the eagles are paying him. Terrible decision making when you have a QB like DJ.
Saquon also had massive injury problems. At the Eagles, he doesn't need to be the guy for them to win. With the Giants, he had to be the guy. Mad Dog is the only one with a brain here.
@@Hustlepoeticflows I don't think people are missing the point at all. Nobody is defending the signing of Daniel Jones. It was a terrible decision. Signing Saquon would have done little to improve their situation. They are a poorly run organization, and Saquon wasn't going to save that. They needed to hit rock bottom.
Saquon had two healthy years out of five behind an offensive line that wasn't going to improve. If he gets paid, the Giants dont choose Nabers(instead being much more aggressive in pursuing a QB in the draft when NE wasn't willing to trade Maye). The doubt was if Saquon can stay healthy, not simply productive. I love the guy and I wished they tagged him instead of Jones. He could've gotten another major injury. Instead, Jones gets the contract then gets the injuries(the neck being the big one). As a Giants fan, when it comes to neck injuries ...I think of David Wilson(was supposed to be heir apparent to Tiki Barber), Ahmad Bradshaw(wasn't on the team much longer), and Mathias Kiwanuka(DE who was switched to LB and lost a step post recovery). Or other major injuries: Hakeem Nicks with poor circulation in his feet, Steve Smith(not to be confused with Panthers Steve Smith) with microfracture knee surgery in his free agent year that ended his career more or less, Victor Cruz, Sterling Shepherd, Larry Donnell. No guarantee Saquon stays healthy, though I hope so.
The argument in favor of the Giants making a mistake isn’t saying Saquan has same production as he’s having in Philly. It’s about the ineptitude of the Giants organization building a contending team. Compound not singular!
These people are hacks. They don't even know that Saquon got a 3 yr, 37.75 million contract. They think he hot 22 million a year. Just a bunch of morons yelling.
Mad Dog is actually right here… he’s not saying Saquon is a bad player, he actually said he’s great. He’s just saying that Giants are just so bad overall that it wouldn’t matter if Saquon was still there. I don’t see anything wrong with what he said
The problem with Mad Dog viewpoint is there are other players on the team. That would mean they shouldn’t sign Dexter Lawrence or Andrew Thomas because their record didn’t improve.
Saquon wouldn’t have made the giants significantly better but he helped in the locker room, he helped sell tickets and jerseys, and you could have had the money to pay him
Giants fan here. Saquon was offered an almost identical contract to what he got from Philly by Schoen 2 times on record. He decided to leave NY over 1 million dollars. He lied to everyone saying he wanted to be a Giant for life and have a legacy. I dont miss him at all cuz we suck with or without him. I just hate he went to a division rival.
Mad Dog is correct. Giants were not a running back away from being a SB contender. Signing Barkley was not the number one priority for a rebuilding team.
Mad Dog forgot that last year (2023)Daniel Jones was out 8 games with a torn ACL so we don't know what the team would have done with both Saquon and Daniel. Stephen A forgot that Saquon wanted the guaranteed money. Giants org. only offered $19,000,000 guaranteed to start in the spring of 2023. They later upped it to $22,000,000. They then franchised him for a lowly $10,00,000 plus $1 milliion more. Philly offered Saquon $4,000,000 more for a total of $26,000,000 guaranteed. His final contract makes it possible for him to earn 46 to 47 million over the course of his contract (including incentives).
So many people saying “he wouldn’t do this in NY” as if he didn’t win OROTY and be a perennial 1000 yard rusher through his career. Instead of extending Daniel jones, you let him walk and draft Maye or trade up a pick and draft Daniels if you can. Then you don’t let McKinney walk in free agency, and go out and continue to build the o line through the draft, or do what the panthers did and go out and spend on some lineman in free agency. You’d have the cap space if you didn’t sign DJ to 4 years $160. There are so many moves you could make if you don’t make that mistake.
Saquon on the Giants is like 22" chrome wheels on a broken down car.

The talent NYG has given up is wild. Collins, OBJ, Cruz, Saquon, Mckenny, Williams, now they got Dex & Nabers who they’ll let go somehow.
Nabers gunna leave if they don’t get a black qb ward/sanders
They’re out here clowning around the day before a holiday and I’m here for it. Today seemed like they were genuinely having a good time.
Mad Dog is right
Everyone is forgetting that the Giants wanted to KEEP Saquon the GM thought no one would offer Saquon more than 12 million which is the minimum the giants would have to pay to KEEP Saquon and then the GM said test the market and thought Saquon would get no offers OR on the chance that he did get an offer the GM wanted Saquon to give them a chance to match it but Saquon did the sensible thing and signed where he was wanted on a good roster that didn’t play games with his money.
Yup, everyone is all over the place with the Saquan takes, it’s honestly embarrassing. So everyone just thinks the easy target is the giants and they go after them
I love when they gang up on Doggy and are wrong asf lmao Saquon is on a Good Football team so yes he looks amazing and they are winning with 2 Good wr and a really good QB...NY has none of those things...they have so many other needs than a 6 YR RB...every good RB that walked from they previous team went to a GOOD TEAM...I'm a Raiders fan and I loved Jacob's but wtf did we do with him last year even tho he led the NFL in rushing?Nothing at all...6 years and 1 playoff app lmao 🤣 😅...A smart organization flips that barkely money into multiple starters which the giants and raiders, titans are not...Look at the good RB on bad teams...Doggy is absolutely correct 💯💯A GOOD RB IS ONLY VALUABLE ON A GOOD TEAM!!!!💯ITS THAT SIMPLE🤷🏾♂️
Exactly, Saturday has awful takes and for someone who was a great player, he sure is clueless about the optics of the game. Maybe that’s why he was a terrible NFL coach
12:22 the look has me dead 💀
Mad Dog is right.. what was Barkley gonna do on a bad Giants team.. why give an rb money when that money needs to be spent on a much needed oline and other spots.. Barkley wasn’t going to have a year like this ever if he stayed on the Giants..
I'm trying to figure out what stage of grief Mad Dog is in now that Saquon Barkley is thriving and becoming an MVP-Caliber player on the Eagles.
can kimberly stop talking
Mad Dog is Right on this one.
Mad dog is a loud dummy😂
He’s right though
Clearly Mad Dog is the only one with sense. Saquon Barkley is not fixing the Giants and when is the last time a RB who has gotten paid delivered a super bowl????
I miss the days when ESPN analysts didn’t yell at each other.
maybe you shouldn't watch a debate show lol
@@pg2t725 You can debate someone without yelling at them.
‘Mad dog’ is correct… if Daniel Jones wasn’t paid. Saquan is worth 16, same as CMC.
I agree with Stephen A.
12.5 million is what he got paid per year
I really hate hearing these 2 women argue/debate ... its alot like cackling. Chiney and Monica are dope but these 2 women are soooooooo annoying.
Did y'all see Jeff Saturday's face when Mad Dog was talking this ridiculousness😂😂.
Why are they talking about Saquan leaving the Giants still? They should be talking about how the 49ers and Bengals continue to struggle and lose games.
Bengals getting a w this week
The biggest mistake was refusing to continue 😕 to completely rebuild the team. Extending Daniel Jones and Saquan Barkley aren't the solutions.
And ESPN wonders why their ratings have been plummeting for years
Saquan was there and it was a mess either way why tf would they pay him? Lol these people just kiss each other cheeks going at mad dog
Mad dog is absolutely correct. He is in the right situation. Giants have no offensive line
they gave up saquon for because they wanted to pay him 9 million a year vs the 12.5 that the eagles are paying him. Terrible decision making when you have a QB like DJ.
Doggy isn't wrong. The Giants would've paid Barkley and had no money to build around him.
$16 a year isn’t salary cap hit. Yall are slow af lol
Saquon also had massive injury problems. At the Eagles, he doesn't need to be the guy for them to win. With the Giants, he had to be the guy. Mad Dog is the only one with a brain here.
Bingo, he's in a much better situation in Philly now, than he would be with the Giants, if he stayed!
Y’all still missing the point. Who they should have kept or at least signed???Daniel or saquan. Clearly saquan
The giants need a complete rebuild, bad front office, bad players, bad training staff, bad doctors, bad COACHING 👎, everything is bad in NY
5:40 But the problem is the way they acted as if Daniel Jones was the best player on their team. That's why they paid him and let saquon walk...
The idea that Saquon is asking for 25 million is absurd, Mad Dog is such a bleephole, so glad when he was off the airwaves in NY
Saturday is really good. Kimberly is on her way amongst these greats
The argument in favor of the Giants making a mistake isn’t saying Saquan has same production as he’s having in Philly. It’s about the ineptitude of the Giants organization building a contending team. Compound not singular!
Funny because Dave Gettlemen said he drafted a gold jacket running back!! Just didn’t realize it would be for a different team 😅😅😅
Calling MD "too Cute" with that fit on, on national TV is wild asf 😂
Im so happy for him keep grinding bruh
These people are hacks. They don't even know that Saquon got a 3 yr, 37.75 million contract. They think he hot 22 million a year. Just a bunch of morons yelling.
Honestly the Giants problem is not fixing that offense line for 10+ years
9:40 😂 doggy gotta chill on Jeff coaching career fr leave he a legend
Mad Dog is actually right here… he’s not saying Saquon is a bad player, he actually said he’s great. He’s just saying that Giants are just so bad overall that it wouldn’t matter if Saquon was still there. I don’t see anything wrong with what he said
Steven A. is the Sam Kinnison of sports talk. Starts and calm and quiet and ends up going off the rails.
he called doggy clueless and outta his mind 😂😂
The problem with Mad Dog viewpoint is there are other players on the team. That would mean they shouldn’t sign Dexter Lawrence or Andrew Thomas because their record didn’t improve.
The mistake the Giants made was not trading Saquon. Simple.
Mad Dog makes a good point. The Giants would still be in a bad place with Barkley on the team, because they are poorly run.
If you want to understand why Saquon is much better as Miles Sanders(2022)😂 I'm sure he still misses the Oline.
Mad Dogg stood on business this whole segment respect! 😂 He’s 100% right though
Saquon wouldn’t have made the giants significantly better but he helped in the locker room, he helped sell tickets and jerseys, and you could have had the money to pay him
The Giants should've kept Saquon but they have to drastically improve the team
Giants fan here. Saquon was offered an almost identical contract to what he got from Philly by Schoen 2 times on record. He decided to leave NY over 1 million dollars. He lied to everyone saying he wanted to be a Giant for life and have a legacy. I dont miss him at all cuz we suck with or without him. I just hate he went to a division rival.
Molly internalized that “, he’s a year older”,she said some people get better with age ,that’s funny
Mad Dog is correct. Giants were not a running back away from being a SB contender. Signing Barkley was not the number one priority for a rebuilding team.
I Love This Lady❤Molly Take Notes😮💨
It doesn’t matter how good or bad the giants are, it was ownership malfeasance to allow Barkley to sign in-division
I love how Mad DOG takes a beating and then laughs at himself, criticism rolls off his back like water and he has fun!!!
Saquon was really the Bugatti sitting in the hood😭😭😭😭
So many people saying “he wouldn’t do this in NY” as if he didn’t win OROTY and be a perennial 1000 yard rusher through his career. Instead of extending Daniel jones, you let him walk and draft Maye or trade up a pick and draft Daniels if you can. Then you don’t let McKinney walk in free agency, and go out and continue to build the o line through the draft, or do what the panthers did and go out and spend on some lineman in free agency. You’d have the cap space if you didn’t sign DJ to 4 years $160. There are so many moves you could make if you don’t make that mistake.
This kinda makes it fill like the RB and QB are equally MVP’s because they make each other better
Mad Dog is 100% correct.
Saquon on the Giants was like having a McClaren while living at a trap house.
The Giants having Saquon isn't gonna help with Daniel Jones completely missing his wide open receivers
If we signed Saquan last year, we would have been just good enough to miss out on Shaduer Sanders and Cam Ward.
