One thing to remember on the edifier headsets, most of theirs mic is retractable, so you pull them and make the audio better. And the static sound of the mic happens because the mic enc, that's is on by default.
There isn't many reviews out there on this headphone. I grabbed a pair off of this review, and everything is spot on. I have one complain about the cable that they shipped with, particularly the 3.5mm audio jack. It comes with a 3 pole jack, which makes absolutely no sense when the headphone has a microphone built-in. They could've at least ship a 4 pole jack so the mic is usable when plugged into gaming controllers. With that said, if you use the original 3.5mm cable, you will only get left & right audio, no mic; if you want the mic, you will need to purchase a 4 pole 3.5mm cable for it. RGB lights will only activate if you use the USB cables. And finally, yes, the mic can be pulled/extended out from the headphone. P.S. It has a game/music mode, but gives zero indication as to which "beep" activates which mode. So you're basically left with deciding which sounds you like better between the two.

hey Consumer tech, i just want to point out that when u did the mic test, you did not have the mic pulled out from the headset. That might of affected the audio quality, since you where not talking directly into the mic.

Not just sound quality, but also, the sound isolation, sidetone and other features. im thinking of buying a pair of headphones and almost decided on the ESKA e900 pro, which one should i get?

these are among the worst sounding headphones i've ever had! so bad, that initially i thought there was something wrong with them. no bass, no highs.. eventually i got the eq (3.5mm and usb) to get them to sound acceptable, but nowhere near as good as my logitech headset
Oh my god what a terrible microphone. I am despairing trying to find a headset that doesnt sound like trash, for recording. I truly despise all headset companies I have ever bought products from, either the microphone sound terrible or the headset breaks within a year, often both. I am willing to pay a lot of money just to have a nice microphone on my headset for recording, but the headset companies want to keep their investments low by putting 1$ microphones into every headset even their high end ones.
Please test the mic again when it's pulled out, it's a retractable flex mic.
