The very second Rose that I got when it was first released as a comp reward was Fluted Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Perpetual Motion and Explosive Payload with a Handling MW and Smooth Grip. I've since got 1.5k kills (I didn't use it a lot at first) and it's a really nice feeling HC. Although it sometimes feels like it lacks in Range a bit, Explosive Payload is working double time to extend that 3 shot kill distance while helping me win duels. With Perpetual Motion both Stability and Reload hit 75 and Handling becomes maxed out after the first stack, so I can finally take off the Ophidians and slap on T-Steps to double down on the movement bonuses without loosing out on good swap/stow/ADS/reload speeds.

I've used hawkmoon all weekend against immortal players. With proper spacing and range awareness handcannons are still viable.

120 are good for 3v3 and 140s aren’t meta but they are very competitive options for quick play. In particular, rose is also used A LOT in 3v3 scrims aka high end pvp

@@Cropod I would like to get a moving target one for my Hunter. I’ve gotten pretty unlucky with the other roles so I was hyped in general just to get my range finder, rapid hit, accurized rounds, hammer forged plus stability masterwork.
Eye of the storm is one of my favourite perks on HC’s ngl so that role you have should be pretty nice for duels
@@C1umsyJester bet, yeah I'll try it out. honestly this is just a me thing but I've been knucklehead radaring when I'm on hunter. didn't realize how much of a radar crutch I am I just don't engage if someone's peeking etc
I have the QuickDraw /explosive roll and I use it with mechabre and it feels incredible. One of the most fun load outs I play with, hitting that perfect swap clean up is just 👌
A common misconception is that controller players have to prioritize stability over range. While controller has more recoil than M&K, a high range roll on a weapon gives the weapon a lot of aim assist which helps reduce the effects of recoil and bloom. As someone who has swapped from controller to M&K, I’ve noticed that my best rose roll on controller used full bore/accurized/range mw while on M&K I use extended barrel/accurized/range mw.

Last week I got my personal 6/6 and I have been using since, although I did use my godroll immortal a bit it just wasn’t as fun or as satisfying as 3 tapping with a 140. The Rose roll I got is Fluted, Accurized, Slideshot, Explosive Payload, Range MW and Textured grip. 90 handling feels so good on it
Moving target explosive is the god roll I've been most excited about for rose. Combines eyesluna with fatebringer
Still been using fatebringer with eye of the storm, explosive. Rose definitely feels great though. Would love a slide shot range finder/explosive roll to drop. Been playing comp since re work on all three characters and no such luck
Extended Barrel+Flared Magwell+Elemental Capacitor+Heavy Grip with Range MW on arc subclass is definitely the way to go for me, does everything excellent (except AE):
63range(+payload),60 stability, 100 recoil direction, 90 Handling, 70 reload speed
I have quite a few 3/5 roses but have gotten some good ones as well! Strand stompee hunter with chambered/accurized/slideshot/opening shot smooth grip range masterwork. It is insane, and unless I’m playing a gamer with incredible range immortal, I can hit the first shot and continue moving, essentially making target lock hard to proc. Enjoying it more than I thought I would, also opening shot gives a pretty good chance of hitting airborne headshot even with stompees and not building into AE, except with ascent on strand.
Like you said I think rose will be my kinetic option on strand hunter, (if not using crafted round robin) just for the ability to be able to save 20 stats for something else and live at tier 8 mobility (RIP Powerful Friends)
With stats being harder to spec into, all I want is to replace my eyasluna rangefinder moving target roll with the added mobility. This way I can spec into other stats like resilience on my hunter
slideshot explosive payload is by far the best roll, not having to reload allows you to be hyperactive and keep people low by shooting the floor next to them when they hide behind cover
Reminder for everyone during this SMG meta: Polaris and Jade Rabbit both have Zen Moment intrinsically and 3 tap at 150rpm from anywhere on the map (if you're good enough with them).
I have smallbore, accurized, slideshot, rangefinder, heavy grip for stability, and handling masterwork to offset the deficits from heavy grip
I have hammer forged accurised slideshot explosive and mw range and the same with range finder havnt had to play comp since huge W
My personal favorite roll is Corkscrew/Smallbore, Accurized, Elemental Cap (I main void hunter and like the stability it gives) and Rangefinder with either a stability or range MW (my roll is exactly this but with stability; I would probably want range ideally but I'm not hurt over a 4/5 for how annoying it is to farm - I haven't touched comp since going platinum last season). Initially I liked the idea of Moving Target but after trying it out, it was too zippy for me on something that's already giving you a little extra zip.
I have this exact roll with Corkscrew, smooth grip and stab MW and it feels so good I struggle to use even my slideshot/rangefinder 5/5
For the last roll, based on the play style you recommended, I would have said maybe QuickDraw and Opening Shot as the best combo.

I got the explosive payload, moving target roll on my second try. It’s even slightly better cuz I have 60 range and 70 handling. Even have 30 airborne so I can still hit shots somewhat in air. Chef’s kiss. Love using it.
even me who got a perpetual motion explosive payload rose, with steady rounds and full bore it feels amazing
I know it's not the immortal so you're at a disadvantage, but reaper class mod + void weapon channeling + devour + orb gives you volatile rounds is really powerful especially with guns like gridskipper, shayuras etc
I got a rose with accurized, QuickDraw, polymer grip, rangefinder and hammer forged rifling. My very first drop during the first week. I’m happy with it. I don’t need to grind anymore lmao
I have gotten three drops every week since it came out, every possible opportunity, and I have gotten my desired perk combination one time. I'm actually going to be so mad if they don't let me grind drops infinitely and then it goes away before I get the roll I want from my limited number of slot pulls.
As someone who also uses the monarque quick swap, I find using solar hunter on 100 mobility spamming radiant dodges better for even faster quick swaps

I love how Cammy can find such specific niches for certain weapon rolls. Very inspective
I'm on controller and have trouble with flinch, like crazy, if someone is running even high cal I can feel it right away, so I tend to run high stability on my guns, but weirdly my rose, true prophecy and dfa have a lower stability than I'm used to, but they feel amazing and I don't get flinched as much as with other guns, maybe because they all have a payload perk my opponents are missing crits which is why I don't get flinched ? Idk
Did my 7 placement matches today and got a elemental cap and vorpal roll. To say I was disappointed is an understatement
I have all 3 of your recommended rolls, but I’ve gotta say nothing slaps harder than my rapid hit/explosive payload roll, feels like I can’t lose gunfights sometimes. I really like the fact that everyone has their own preferred roll and it seems rose has a lot of viable variety to offer. I’d say try every roll you get and find your niche!
My favorite hand cannon for a long time was a slideshot, rapid hit spare rations.

It's not actually a rush to get it considering the meta. As Bungie said, Rose will return after the next season sometime. It's not going away permanently, just shortly. Unless it's absolutely something you think you must have, go for it.
There are a couple of problems with that though. 1st is we don't know when it'll come back. We could get 2 seasons with the new weapon and then Rose comes back or it could be longer if they make a different weapon as a reward. The 2nd problem is that it might not come back with the same perks.
Basically, if you like the gun and perks, farm for it. If you feel it doesn't do anything for you, even after a potential meta-shift, then don't worry about it.
Well rose drops as a powerful gear so i'm going for it anyway

I really like my QuickDraw rangefinder roll. Not orthodox but it feels so nuts with ophidians on. Would like an explosive payload roll tho

Is it possible to farm if I have a Titan, warlock and hunter? Or do I need to have made 2 of the same character? E.g. I make a second hunter and keep deleting and remaking a second hunter?
My best is Fluted, Tac mag, Perpetual, Explosive, smooth grip and Range mw. With Max perp I'm at 53 range, 80 stability, 85 reload and 100 handling.

I would love to see the breakdown of the camera advantage, I've seen it briefly covered in other videos but it doesn't make much sense to me.

Empirical evidence with high cal honestly seems pretty good at dealing with immortal users, always assumed it was cause of the flinch

I wish I could farm , rose for me is bugged I did the placement quest one my 3 characters and it doesn’t show up in the pinnacle reward and I did the 3 games in the other 2 characters and nothing:( don’t know if this bug return after the update this last Thursday.

rose is the better 140 and some like frost, panduh, coolguy, wallah, jpblink, goldexgle, and pretty much every one is even going as far as saying it's the BEST 140 (personally im a little skeptical to say so since I prefer exalted truth but they really like the lightweight frame). I'd say its worth it.

Imo adept fatebringer is the best. It's got the best stats by far, I've got fluted, accurized, range MW and with explosive payload it's the best feeling Hand cannon IMO; it's got 76 range, 65 stability, and 73 handling.
The only thing rose has on it is moving target and lightweight, that combo is very good.

So when you go into comp is there a progress bar that tells you how many matches you have left to get the rose? I’ve completed the whole quest last week and only got one from the quest. I don’t see anything tracked on comp that tells me I’ll get one? Is my account bugged?

I've got an old austringer that I'm trying to recraft and it has 97 stability and it's slaps. I used d2 foundry and I can get a rose with max stability and that's what I'm going for. Edit: I didn't look at what crafted austringer has and now I realize I can't recraft my old one.
On warlock, ophidian aspects fixes most rolls. I have the free one, perpetual motion and explosive payload, add 2 targeting mods, and ophidians, handling feels maxed (don't know I'd it actually is) and aim assist is maxed. I pair mine with cloudstrike or duality based on map, and my K/D has been over 2.0 for the first time in my destiny play history, since D1, for the last few weeks. I'm very proud of myself, but the loadout is definitely carrying my ass a bit 😅
its more about the range tho.. at that point just use a diff handcannon thats easier to get like eyasluna. obviously it would work in pubs or lower tier comp but if u play good players ur gonna get outgunned most of the time if u dont have the range

Pro Tip: Delete and farm a character you don’t use and 1st mission -> 3 comp games repeat. That’s all there is to do besides trials if you care that much. Takes around 30 minutes if done right. You can get to ascendant by accident just farming this.
Note you'll have to restart everything including all progress with stasis and strand

@@codythatcher735 I came back after a 4 year break and have no plans on grinding stasis ever 😂 strand not too bad but I was doing this just a bit before lightfall. It only sucked once I reached ascendant and couldn’t relax /listen to music against try hards.
