Words fail to describe the giddiness and eager excitement I felt seeing that 5th red box drop and saying goodbye to the sunset one in my vault that's been with me since opulence and still got use in control and the occasional Survival match. Dude i am one red border away after dozens upon dozens of austringers. I havent been this hyped for a weapon since i farmed the og austringers, and im not even xxagerating slightly. Im still conflicted on if i should dismantle my og polygonal + ricochet + eye + rangefinfer + range mw one though. It holds too many memories
So many content creators who do PvP content literally just take 12 minutes to say "range good, everything else butts". And you've never done that, always looking at every aspect of the weapon. Shoot, who else is doing GLAIVE reviews? I adore how you do weapon reviews. Keep this up, 100%.
Yea, coolguy is the only guy i watch weapon reviews at this point, because anyone can look at stats and perks almost no youtubers talk about how the perks and stats are special

I went all out to craft the Austringer, absolutely HAD to get one. I've done my PVE/All Rounder first, if I start playing more PVP I'll sort out an EOTS/Rangefinder Roll but for now I have Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Enhanced Outlaw, Enhanced Rampage w/Range MW & I'm absolutely IN LOVE with it. It's an upgraded version of my original Austringer, the only Sunset Weapon that I kept! Thst thing has nearly 28k Kills on it, I look forward to breaking 30k with my new crafted version! EDIT: After seeing your Stability Stat, I'll be changing the MW on mine!
I'm really conflicted between smallbore and my current Corkscrew. You and I have the same craft choice otherwise, do you think the 2 extra range and stability is worth the 5 loss in handling? You M&K or controller?
@@odinhawke Controller mate, the extra Stability is worth it absolutely, before watching the video I was using the Range MW, swapped over to Stability now & because Enhanced Outlaw & Rampage get extended timers there's no stat benefits so I believe my Stability is at 86, it's very noticeable. My original roll had Chambered Compensator so the Handling wasn't particularly great anyways haha! Coming from Thorn & an Eyasluna with very high Handling, the swap speed took some getting used to, I won't sugar-coat that but it's not terrible. Give it a try, you can always reshape it as you're only changing the barrel it's not obscenely expensive on your materials.
@@LSB44446 it's absolutely worth the grind! There's something about how it feels vs Eyasluna & Pally, the Austringer feels much more sticky, precise(?) It's an awesome Hand Cannon for sure!
I'm an Eyasluna main, haven't gotten the Austringer to 16 yet. I hope it's worth the grind because honestly I like my Eyas more than the exotic hand cannons.
This thing was my favorite legendary hc when it first came out. Now it's back to being my favorite again. Im using one with snapshot rangefinder and it just destroys. It feels beefy like fate bringer but has the smoothness of eyasluna. Love the gun.
I’m not good with hand cannons as I used have been so I use them in pve I put eye with frenzy on mine and if I want to use it for pvp but bungie tryna waste my materials like I tested it out I had enhanced triple tap for starters but as soon as I hit level 16 I put enhanced frenzy on it but changed enhanced triple tap to enhanced eye of the storm and when I wanted to see if I can change back to triple I had to spend 2000 resonant materials and ascendant crap like what hell they need to change that ASAP makes me feel like I don’t own the gun Like if I want to do pve I would use pve perks but if I want to use pvp perks I’ll change them to eye and rangefinder but u can’t do that without spending materials and that’s ridiculous I’m not crafting another austringer thats just dump because I’ll have to get that to level 16 as well and that’s just time consuming Sorry for the long message but thats just my experience on it… love the gun btw brings me back to midnight coup and better devils days
Love your reviews on guns, it speaks to experimentation and finding your roll rather than following the popular things blindly. I have somewhat unpopular pick but for me ideal Austringer is next: Fluted Barrel, Light Mag, Eye of the Storm, Rangefinder with range masterwork. 61 range, 71 stability, 69 handling and 58 reload speed - it fits perfectly for my Titan playstyle, its just like a swiss knife for me, I never feel in need of additional tools with this roll. And I find it fenomenal that everyone will end up with their own perfect Austringer in their hands eventually.
There seems to be a really awesome thing going on with Destiny 2 that ive started noticing, and the Eyasluna vs Austringer vs Fatebringer is a great example. As far as perks pools, overall usability, and stats, Fatebringer beats Eyasluna in the PvE and makes a strong argument for PvP. Eyasluna beats Fatebringer for PvP, but has great synergy with Stasis for PvE. And Austringer, while having, worse perks and slightly worse stats than Eyasluna for PvP, and not having the Adept Mods or as many PvE perks as Timelost Fatebringer does, is craftable, and still provides a competitive and very powerful option you can fine tune to fit how you want the weapon to be. If Bungie continues this trend of making Random Rolled have overall better Mode specializations than crafted weapons, but still allow crafted weapons to be strong and competitive against random rolled weapons across activities, I think that the current state of Destiny 2s looting and crafting system will be just fine. But also lets never do anything like opulent key farming ever again please god.
@Lukas Massey Eyasluna has 8 pvp perks as opposed to Fatebringers 6, has better base range and stability, a reload, zoom, recoil direction, and aim assist stat that are all within 2 points of Fatebringers, better mag perks, sights that sit further above the barrel for better visibility... Im not saying that Fatebringer is a bad weapon, especially with Adept Mods, and there are plenty of good PvP rolls you can get, but its not a specialized PvP weapon like Eyasluna is. Statwise and Perkwise, Eyasluna is the objectively better weapon for PvP.
I think the question of, “which one should be deleted” is excellent. It shows there is variety now, and that’s how this game should be. You shouldn’t have to choose one over the other - you should have options that are equally potent in different ways. Key being: different ways - different slots, different play styles. IMO, they should make all your options craftable.
@@terrelldurocher3330 Cept crafting hasn't invalidated everything yet? Luna, Pali and Cantata still all compete great with Aust for example. Each has its different strengths.
@@scarybubblegum5100 cept for tge fact that all you got to do for austringer is go and do tge easiest thing in the game and you will have them dropping like hot cakes
@@terrelldurocher3330 But that's just not true. Not remotely. Excluding Pali which was the true easiest to get, Luna is still much easier to farm. Aust has a lot more rng involved, and the process takes far longer. While it has more freedom with creating your weapon after you craft it, actually getting to that point is one of the longest grinds in the game rn.
Yep! Yours is the exact roll I am eagerly grinding to craft. 3/5 Austringer. 5/5 Beloved, 4/5 Drang. UUUGH. That 91 Stability stat is absolutley bonkers. I'm rocking a world drop Austringer with Rangefinder, 85 stability and using double unflinching mods. Its just missing Eye of the Storm, but already I absolutley LOVE how resistant it is to flinch, and I cant wait to use your roll. Personally I'd rather sell into double HC Unflinching than get to 80+ Resilience. Titans have the natural advantage of probably already having solid resilience builds. My PvP Resilience builds are poo poo
most titan armor just naturally gets us to about 50 60 resil in builds whether we want it or not, so the new changes just made us drop some recov mods for resil mods
Normally I just watch Coolguy since his content is easy to digest while also explaining why things work as they do. This has got to be the first time I’ve actually tried something as directed and I’m very glad that I did. 10/10 recommend his idea for this crafted weapon.
Honestly, stability is the most important stat for me on hand cannons (of the displayed stats, anyway). My 95 stability Eyasluna is my favorite hand cannon across both games.
Back in the days of spare rations land, I grinded and grinded for exactly what I wanted on austringer because even as a 140 it just felt that incredible. Now I've crafted one this week, it feels even better than the day I lost it. What a superb choice for the first craftable hand cannon. Imho there's nothing bad to be said about austringer.
I still have my Austringer from 3 years ago that you recommended, and it has been BY FAR the smoothest shooting handcannon I've ever used. All shots ring true, and I rarely feel deviation. It even had 68 stability that you mentioned in another video about what should go for. Of course more stability is needed now, but I'll need to be able to craft it before I get to that.
On mouse and keyboard, I recommend running a fluted barrel with a range masterwork, as although you cannot reach it's maximum range potential, having the higher handling (even with ophidians) lets you have a more consistent feeling gun.
I have one problem with this video A couple of times you mentioned "if you're a hand cannon user" I have never liked 140s. Austringer is one of my favorite weapons. I have consistently not been a hand cannon user and it is so good that I look past my dislike of hand cannons. This hand Cannon isn't just for hand Cannon users.
It started off with the Cantata. Was the first time I ever felt like I could use a hand cannon effectively and I was getting the feel for 140s. It also is how I fell in love with Timed Payload oddly enough (I know people hate that perk, but for some reason, that perk makes me feel like I can't miss). Then I went out and farmed a Judgment. Moving Target, Timed Payload. Hell yeah. And now I branched out from the whole "Timed Payload" crutch I was leaning on and got a damn good Austringer. And holy hell, I've never felt so in love with a hand cannon.
@@leltrash5683 A very fair question. This was 4 months ago. The sandbox has changed dramatically and I only find myself using 140s when I'm not taking the game seriously. With how dominant pulse rifles, scout rifles, LFRs (not for long thank god), and side arms are, it's a little hard to be effective with a 140 unless you're prefectly positioned (which I suck at). But to actually answer your question, no. I don't feel the same way as I've moved onto my meme loadout that is Percision Frame autos and adaptive side arms. I still love the Austringer's feel though. As for the hype behind it? I believe it was warranted as it was the first craftable 140 and it was already as reliable as some of the best 140s in the game at base value. Like it or not, you can't deny it's a banger of a weapon.
Back before it got sunset, Austringer was my all time favorite handcannon. Seeing it back and CRAFTABLE made me so hype. I can't wait to be able to craft one.
Exactly how I rolled mine for the xtra flinch resistance. Will be building into more flinch resistance as I'm sick of flinching people and still getting domed. Can't find that armour to roll triple 100 mob res rec now though.
The Austringer, the Gun I will never get to craft because apparently Destiny decided that I wanted Beloved. So far, 4/5 with only one Drang for the red border. AKA, Deepsight Weapon. Did I mention I am a Console Player who cannot snipe?
Like ... Just wait a week and get the free red border from the crown... Farm other stuff, do whatever, no need to pointlessly grind when ur literally getting 3 free red borders guaranteed each week.
On your recommendation I grinded for a headseeker kill clip bygones back in the day and I'm still stomping lobbies with it. Definitely gonna go for this one as well.
I knew this video was coming from you, I know your a die hard austringer fan. I've been watching your page like a hawk for this video because I knew it wouldn't disappoint. I was correct in that assumption, as always your in depth efforts and breakdowns are beyond appreciated and don't go unnoticed. Thank you always for the awesome content
Hey man, great video. One thing I think you missed though, differences between crafting for PC and console. Keep up the good work. We actually played against each other once lol.
Austringer was always my favorite PvE HC to go to during SoO, as I was never really that good in PvP. But I've been messing around and trying to get better, thinking I might definitely run your recommendations and see how they work out. Always appreciate your weapon reviews, keep them coming!
I don’t think you’re exaggerating when you say you were the first one to talk about Eye of the Storm. I still remember your original video about the old Austringer. I still think it’s an S tier perk today because you pointed it out back then.
I went with stability masterwork, chambered compensator, ricochet rounds, enhanced eye of the storm, and enhanced rangefinder. I tried enhanced opening shot but I played one crucible game and decided to go back to enhanced rangefinder. I really feel that gives it that extra chef's kiss to push it into elite territory. It's possible to outduel a Crimson with this thing... it just feels like your guardian is holding the gun as tightly as they possibly can. Very far removed from weapons like Suros hand cannons or some of the 120's where it feels like after one bullet the gun is going to go flying out of your hand. It's amazing.
Just crafted an enhanced Opening Eye of the Storm roll last night. I play pretty aggressive so Rangefinder can be hit or miss for me. I did different barrels and a range masterwork and it felt fantastic running 100 resilience. Might switch it over to be a bit more stable but right now that might not be necessary.
Ok so I was finally able to craft Austringer. I was grinding it all the way to lv16 cause I wanted to know what a fully crafted pvp weapon felt like. I’m literally in heaven with this thing
Any difference in how you would craft on mnk vs console or does it not really make a big difference? Outstanding video, i really dig your enthusiasm and deep dive into why you chose what you did.
My favorite hand cannon since Season of Opulence and I will stop at nothing to get it back in my hands. Hoping that Black Armory weapons come back at some point, as there were some really amazing weapons from that set and for weapons that we forged from the armory, they should be craftable. :)
tbh Air Assault would be a perfectly fine perk if it always gave like a passive +5 or +10 air assist, and that just increased to 60 as you got damaged, rather than a base of +0
I've probably opened a couple dozen Opulent chests thus far, yet I haven't seen a single Austringer. I can't even focus it at this rate let alone hunt for a red border
I've never really been a fan of hand cannon's in the game. PVE or PVP. As an older gamer I've found that my reaction time, and twitch movements for accurate ADS have massively deteriorated. So I've mainly ran with SMG's, or pulse rifles. But I've tried the Austringer in both PVE and PVP lately and I LOVE IT. I just can't seem to miss with it.
This is the first time I’ve used a legendary hand cannon outside of the trust when I played destiny 2 year 1. Other than that I’ve used the crimson. I am a novice HC user. Still finishing every game with a 4+ kd. It’s absurd. Mine is only level 6.
I have a sick roll on my Cantata that whilst not quite what you have here on your Austringer, I feel like it is comparable. It’s just more of a win now and later roll than yours. Small bore, accurised, heating up, moving target and range masterwork. Less stability than yours, at 58, but one kill brings it up to 73 and 2 kills up to 88 and combined with Suros synergy you also get handling and even more flinch resist. So win now as it has moving target to bring aim assist up to 92 even without hand cannon targeting. Not having rangefinder also means what I see down sights is not zoomed in too far and accuracy cone is normal. With the roll I have it’s drop off is 32m so not far off yours. The win later is Suros synergy after reload and heating up which increases stability, accuracy and recoil. At its peak my Cantata has 32m range, 88 stability and an additional 20% flinch resist, 88 handling and 100 recoil it just takes more set up to reach that point than your Austringer. Once I get the red borders I’ll be crafting this thing for sure
My white whale has long been a hand cannon that can roll rapid hit/EOTS. I don’t focus on range as much as most people, but that combo lets me build into handling and range with rapid hit providing the stability and reload speed, while eots scales alongside rapid hit.
I loved the Smallbore - Ricochet - Rangefinder - Eye of the Storm one I had from back in the Menagerie, and kept it in the vault. I'd whip it out for casual PvP and yes, other guns came along to rule the roost. But I never sharded it; the feel was so nice. Now that I've crafted a new one, I'm really enjoying how it works in the modern meta. Doesn't hurt it has an origin trait when it didn't used to have one! Gives the roll a little versatility
Big hyped that I finally made it in a cool guy video, even if just in passing. Was in your lobby on your team for a few of clips on Vostok. Shot ya a bungie friend request (Cruz) after to match just on a whim figure it couldn’t hurt to try! Awesome vid Man. Keep it up as always.
7:48 high cal is bugged right now it doesnt do anything. Not to mention handcannon flinch the same no matter what resilience you are running, if someone is shooting you with an HC you will always flinch the same amount atm.
One of like 5 sunset weapons in my vault were this exact roll on aussie but with a range me. I was a little disappointed when I saw them and realized I wouldn't be the cool guy in IB with my austringer
Reminder that you can use the 'Broken Bird, to be Healed' ornament if you have it with the Maroon Moon shader to make your Austringer look (very much) like Eyasluna. :V Funny how Austringer was hailed as 'Eyasluna 2.0' back then only to be sunset. Eyasluna returns from Destiny 1 near the end of last year just as potent as it was, only for Austringer to be un-sunset via crafting six months later and still as amazing or even better. Destiny be wild sometimes.
I remember when I started never knowing what was good on handcannons and seeing your videos time and time again talking about EOTS and why its the best perk for 1v1 duels in the game My friends and everyone i've spread that too never believed it but always wondered why my HCs were so consistent yet never even looked at EOTS, it is single handedly the strongest perk in the entire game, allowing literally anyone to get that optimal three tap just by getting into a duel, the power is a realm of its own, this perk can carry a hc from F to S tier
my austringer has eye of the storm rampage, and i think its a really good role because when using it i went from having a KDA of .75 to having a kda of 1.17.
Have you tried it with Corkscrew? That's been my favorite barrel and has helped with some of the sluggishness on that handling stat. I'm currently rocking the oldie outlaw/rampage for PvE and it's been lovely
this farm and crafting is actually a good thing for me when it comes to the austringer. i just got that trace rifle and its got wellspring on it. bet if i get more red borders i can craft it to have thresh. lot of possibilities for builds with these two weapons. for me at least. and i can grind levels and materials withiut having to worry about stopping unless i get tired. domt wanna do strikes anymore.
One of the things that got me to leave D2 for a while was how much grinding it took to get the best versions of good weapons through RNG. The fact that one of the older weapons I did that for has come back as fully-customizable is an absolute joy for me. The only thing that Bungie could do in the future to make me even happier is if they bring back the 180 handcannon from Gambit "Trust" back as a craftable weapon too. Loved that thing.
I was using Austringer with fluted barrel and Richocet rounds with range masterwork and it just didn't feel that great to me and also I am still a low resilience hunter main but with your setup with smallbore and stability it makes this gun feel so good. thanks so much for the video🙌
Feel top tier HC users know ya want that stability in the 70s with then maxing range/handling. You don't need over 80 stability unless you are a bot and cannot aim. Think smallbore/hammer , ricochet, eots, rf ..range mw
Hammer is a trash tier perk, 3 range is never worth 7 stability, but yeah 80 stability makes 140 literal lasers, I dont see the point building more either
I have this craft and an eyasluna with 79 stability and rangefinder/moving target. I hate to be contrarian but I have never felt a better perk combo on a handcannon then rangefinder+ moving target. That thing hugs headshots so hard from the start. I prefer it to EOS all the way
Got a good one last night from a chest... smallbore, RR, Outlaw, Opening shot w/ Stab. MW... took it into comp and absolutely had a blast after using my Luna all evening prior. Both very good guns.
I’ve had more Austringers drop than any other opulent or haunted weapon and purchased somewhere 20-30 and have only received 2 red box versions. Love the rolls I’ve gotten, would love to craft it someday.
Love Aussie ever since i got my hands on it when it came out, it may not be the best hand cannon but to me it is the best feeling to use hand cannon to how consistent it is got flawless today just to get a memento on it too and can’t wait for that, love your reviews Cool guy, keep up man you’re the one i trust with those weapon rolls🔥🔥🔥
Not the point of the video but you made me realize that the flinch changes are why I've felt so bad at crucible lately. I'm going to throw on some unflinching mods and get back in there!
I managed to get a BXR with smallbore, ricochet rounds, perpetual motion and eye of the storm with a stability masterwork. With perpetual motion at x2 it reaches 100 stability. That combo, with 100 resilience and double unflinching makes it an absolute laser. Super forgiving with the headshots, especially with eye of the storm, and with 2 targeting mods on it makes it difficult to NOT hit headshots. It dominates on any range focused map. I'm really excited to get my hands on an Austringer with this craft after seeing how strong that combo is.
I was lucky enough not to have to craft an austringer. Bagged myself a 5/5 snapshot rangefinder, a 5/5 eye of the storm rangefinder and a 5/5 eye of the storm opening shot. All three feel amazing yet I still prefer my d.f.a handcannon
I heard Austringer was back, and set out day 1 to farm it. Managed to get the Mini Tool and Beloved along the way. Rolled mine with Fluted/Ricochet/Range and I love it. Don't think I'll vault it for a long while.
Your Video helped a lot, tried other guides and that Build seems to be the best for me tried full bore and corkscrew rifling with range master work like other videos were suggesting, but wasn't working, I tried your guide and my kd went up significantly, thank you, and I haven't even put the enhanced traits in, need a little more material, but when I do should be even better, thank you for the tips, keep posting, you rock.
one more left before I get my craftable roll (I went for beloved first lol), but I got a 4/5 dueling groll (eots + op shot + hi cals + hammer forged + reload mw), I want rangefinder personally but damn does it feel good.
Dude can you replay to me please I did the exact same setup for my austringer but i have only 58 range u have 60? I did make sure so many times how i get extra two range lvls like u?
I don't know how, but I have yet to get a single Austringer. I would say I have bad luck, but I've gotten 4 drops of the new exotic pants for warlock, and 2 of the rolls were god rolls.
It’s so good to the point where it’s basically a power-crept Palindrome in the kinetic slow. I always feared the day that a 140 would be craftable, since they’re already so dominant, and no I realize my fears were 100% justified. It’s ability to get high range + high stability and accuracy-increasing perks altogether makes it far and above the strongest dueling hand cannon in the game. Nothing else can compete with the sheer power of this weapon, and that worries me.
Like... Fatebringer exist... and i know its a pain to farm but the timelost version gives this one a run for its money. Not to mention quickdraw on pali is extremely valuable for sniper/witherhoard builds. This thing is good, and the guaranteed god roll is great, but its by no means power creeping the other adept 140s
I went with rangefinder and outlaw. Usually I prefer snapshot, but as I've been levelling this up, I find that I really focus on precision hits, and now that I've made it to level 13 or whatever and unlocked outlaw, outlaw makes a huge difference with the playstyle. Pve. If I only cared about pvp I'd go either snapshot or eye of the storm.
I’m just not very good with hand cannons but this gun feels so good to use. It hasn’t taken the place of Piece of Mind yet but it feels good enough that I keep trying to get it there.
Something about the way austringer snaps up and back down with each shot just makes it feel better to me than pretty much every other hand cannon. They all feel like they have a slower up and down visual recoil, which doesn’t actually affect the accuracy, just makes it feel a little…off. I’m not a hand cannon guy and I absolutely love austringer
I crafted mines just like yours but only have 58 range. Same stability as you. Only 52 handling and 46 reload. Do you know why some of my stats are lower?
My friends used to laugh at me for keeping my austringer with 94 stability, and now with the flinch changes im the one laughing because my gun doesnt move when i shoot or get shot, this thing definitely didnt get left behind
We have too many arc 140s. I would remove 2 of them, but Cantata wouldn't be one of them. Edit: For those curious: *Finite Impactor* and *Crisis Inverted* can go.
I just got my 5th red box Austringer yesterday and am working feverishly to get it to the level where I can put enhanced perks on it. CoolGuy and Aztec have the same builds, except A used hammer forged. For me, I think Cool's recipe is the way to go. We get to try them all, eventually. Should I craft two, or for PvE and one for PvP? Well I don't do much PvP, just get pinnacles, but it's nice to have a go-to gun for it. There are lots of PvE hand cannons, and they aren't featured this season in GMs or end game, so PvP seems like the way to go for now.
I’m happy to finally be able to get 1 deepsight weekly if your choice so it’s proly going to be next week when I can craft austringer. Being able to craft a hand cannon to complete perfection is amazing because I seem to have bad luck on the range department I usually get low range rolls but I think I’m aiming for fluted or hammer forge with ricochet… I’m not going after high cal as much anymore I think having that extra stability is really helpful now
I crafted the same except I had it on chambered compensator for 100 recoil and 94 stability. Even thought about running lower range with opening shot but I don’t want to waste the crafting materials ATM. I run tier 3 resilience 94 stability and 1 unflinching mod and is noticeably better than anything I used last season.

This thing was my favorite legendary hc when it first came out. Now it's back to being my favorite again. Im using one with snapshot rangefinder and it just destroys. It feels beefy like fate bringer but has the smoothness of eyasluna. Love the gun.
Have that same roll. It’s butter✌️
It was actually the only hand cannon I used. So happy its back!
I’m not good with hand cannons as I used have been so I use them in pve I put eye with frenzy on mine and if I want to use it for pvp but bungie tryna waste my materials like I tested it out I had enhanced triple tap for starters but as soon as I hit level 16 I put enhanced frenzy on it but changed enhanced triple tap to enhanced eye of the storm and when I wanted to see if I can change back to triple I had to spend 2000 resonant materials and ascendant crap like what hell they need to change that ASAP makes me feel like I don’t own the gun
Like if I want to do pve I would use pve perks but if I want to use pvp perks I’ll change them to eye and rangefinder but u can’t do that without spending materials and that’s ridiculous I’m not crafting another austringer thats just dump because I’ll have to get that to level 16 as well and that’s just time consuming
Sorry for the long message but thats just my experience on it… love the gun btw brings me back to midnight coup and better devils days
@@fatherhowiee4052 it's all good dude lol
@Jimmy Bobby Just craft two if you’re switching so much, craft a pvp one and a pve one and you’ll never need to spend the mats again
Or get rid of crafting.
@@terrelldurocher3330
Cept crafting hasn't invalidated everything yet? Luna, Pali and Cantata still all compete great with Aust for example. Each has its different strengths.
@@terrelldurocher3330 No
@@scarybubblegum5100 cept for tge fact that all you got to do for austringer is go and do tge easiest thing in the game and you will have them dropping like hot cakes
@@terrelldurocher3330
But that's just not true.
Doesn't double unflinching mod actually lower it from point 75 to .7? Why would you do that?
most titan armor just naturally gets us to about 50 60 resil in builds whether we want it or not, so the new changes just made us drop some recov mods for resil mods
What method did you find that for you your red borders fastest? I've been super unlucky
This 91 stab gun is freakin fantastic for dueling. The flinch reduction is so noticeable, it’s almost impossible to take off
Normally I just watch Coolguy since his content is easy to digest while also explaining why things work as they do. This has got to be the first time I’ve actually tried something as directed and I’m very glad that I did. 10/10 recommend his idea for this crafted weapon.
Honestly, stability is the most important stat for me on hand cannons (of the displayed stats, anyway). My 95 stability Eyasluna is my favorite hand cannon across both games.
you controller or mnk?
@@B1POL4Rgaming Controller.
100% stability is what i hone in on all HC regardless of archetype. Rapid hit might be lb for lb one of the most important/best in class perks for me.
This is the 4th best dueling hand canon video I have seen, being realistic the best hand canon is probably Ace and im fine whit that.
On mouse and keyboard, I recommend running a fluted barrel with a range masterwork, as although you cannot reach it's maximum range potential, having the higher handling (even with ophidians) lets you have a more consistent feeling gun.
Thats the way i run most my 5/5 handcannons, especially since I main Titan and cant use ophidians
Craft it. Seriously.
I have one problem with this video
A couple of times you mentioned "if you're a hand cannon user"
I have never liked 140s. Austringer is one of my favorite weapons. I have consistently not been a hand cannon user and it is so good that I look past my dislike of hand cannons.
This hand Cannon isn't just for hand Cannon users.
Are you planning on doing a Firefright review? I’m looking for a good kinetic auto rifle for pvp.
Thankfully Im leveling my final one now 👍
Already did. Level 30. Double enhanced perks and I've already crafted a second one.
And also craft an Apex build too, right? ;)
Grats on the sponsor, very good build you have there.
And holy hell, I've never felt so in love with a hand cannon.
do you still feel the same way about austringer or was it all hype .
"Stop what you're doing!"
*Me...watching on the toilet...in mid wipe*
Lol same I 5/5’d Beloved, the only Opulent weapon I didn’t want
Lol i have the exact same situation
I have the same situation where I have beloved dropping back to back but zero red borders ☹️
Same problem, friggin sucks.
Coolguy the moment you 3 taped a crimson user made me take the decision to craft this roll
Those slow-mo clips are so good. Another fantastic video, CoolGuy.
I would do unspeakable things for a craftable Blast Furnace.
Hey I crafted the exact same roll, but yours has 2 more range than mine (60 vs 58), why is that?
I was wondering the same thing and was about to post the question myself @coolguy can you answer
Same. I'm wondering if the base stats you initially craft it with play a roll in that.
I smell something fishy about that
tbh Air Assault would be a perfectly fine perk if it always gave like a passive +5 or +10 air assist, and that just increased to 60 as you got damaged, rather than a base of +0
Oh boy do I have news for you
@@julianlak1017 Yeah.
Yeah I had a good laugh reading that twab
edit: they even made the 450rpm auto rifle buff I was hoping for
What are you giving up on hunter for your 9-10 resilience
Pretty sure Trust was only year 2 onward. It was a gambit weapon.
This gun Made me enjoy pvp again. I couldn’t get a good pali or any other HC and I’m a heavy HC user.
Beautiful! This is the exact roll I'm working on leveling right now, precisely because of how you covered EotS on Austringer years ago. GGs, CG!
Eyasluna has sat in the vault since I got that 5th red border. Feels even better than in 2019.
Not to mention handcannon flinch the same no matter what resilience you are running, if someone is shooting you with an HC you will always flinch the same amount atm.
the 7:18 shooting through environment is what sold it for me.
Funny how Austringer was hailed as 'Eyasluna 2.0' back then only to be sunset. Eyasluna returns from Destiny 1 near the end of last year just as potent as it was, only for Austringer to be un-sunset via crafting six months later and still as amazing or even better.
Destiny be wild sometimes.
I remember when I started never knowing what was good on handcannons and seeing your videos time and time again talking about EOTS and why its the best perk for 1v1 duels in the game
My friends and everyone i've spread that too never believed it but always wondered why my HCs were so consistent yet never even looked at EOTS, it is single handedly the strongest perk in the entire game, allowing literally anyone to get that optimal three tap just by getting into a duel, the power is a realm of its own, this perk can carry a hc from F to S tier
my austringer has eye of the storm rampage, and i think its a really good role because when using it i went from having a KDA of .75 to having a kda of 1.17.
That Austringer roll is more stable than my source of income. And I'm a salaried man.
Excellent stuff as always CG!
bro that turn around snipe oh my God
I just wish it had more PvE potential. Can't compete with Fatebringer or Eyasluna imo, it needed something more interesting in the left column.
Firefly is too good
Yeah outlaw rampage doesn’t cut it in end game pve anymore
One of the things that got me to leave D2 for a while was how much grinding it took to get the best versions of good weapons through RNG. The fact that one of the older weapons I did that for has come back as fully-customizable is an absolute joy for me. The only thing that Bungie could do in the future to make me even happier is if they bring back the 180 handcannon from Gambit "Trust" back as a craftable weapon too. Loved that thing.
Yea Trust was my baby! Lol
Currently i use trust and that's my bread and butter but i recently bought austringer for the asthetic and still haven't tested it
I was using Austringer with fluted barrel and Richocet rounds with range masterwork and it just didn't feel that great to me and also I am still a low resilience hunter main but with your setup with smallbore and stability it makes this gun feel so good. thanks so much for the video🙌
What resilience were you running? Jw as I normally go for fluted, ricochet, range mw and am a titan main sitting between 60-80 res depending
how did you get ur range to 60 ??
i build it with the same perks and got 58 range ...
Am I wrong for missing better devils?
I really liked how you did a Savathun intro to how you talked about austringer based on weekly mission dialogue.
I’ve had more Austringers drop than any other opulent or haunted weapon and purchased somewhere 20-30 and have only received 2 red box versions. Love the rolls I’ve gotten, would love to craft it someday.
LoL @ that shot through the box at 7:25. 🤣
Timelost fatebringer with eye of the storm and explosive payload?
I have the same everything legit and he still has 2 more range and 2 more reload? Am I missing something??
Dude can you replay to me please
I did the exact same setup for my austringer but i have only 58 range u have 60? I did make sure so many times how i get extra two range lvls like u?
I don't know how, but I have yet to get a single Austringer. I would say I have bad luck, but I've gotten 4 drops of the new exotic pants for warlock, and 2 of the rolls were god rolls.
I’d love to even see a red border for one. All I’ve gotten are mini tools. My only hope is to upgrade my CoS to get a free weekly one.
Nah. Rapid fire pulses. High impact pulses. Erratic movement and good smgs. It'll be fine
Adept pali is still by far the best handcannon in the game
You have to reach level 20 with the weapon to activate the masterwork
@@TylR3gor thank u buddy
Legend has it that red boarder Austringers exist. I don’t believe it myself
I latched on to Eye of the Storm after seeing MTashed talk about it a long time ago. Since I can't aim... It's been great for me.
If i could get eye of the storm on pally i would never take it off. I like the sights a lot more than the other models.
Aus just hits different (lol)
I've crafted the beloved, drang and mini tool yet still haven't had a single red bar austringer drop. sooo over this grind sheeeesh
I’m happy to finally be able to get 1 deepsight weekly if your choice so it’s proly going to be next week when I can craft austringer. Being able to craft a hand cannon to complete perfection is amazing because I seem to have bad luck on the range department I usually get low range rolls but I think I’m aiming for fluted or hammer forge with ricochet… I’m not going after high cal as much anymore I think having that extra stability is really helpful now
that opening clip is why I run radiant dodge almost for style points alone
do you think i should use the same perks on mnk or not? also are you using 2 or 1 targeting/unflinching mods +targeting adjuster
"you have to craft this roll!"
i would mate but i've literally only gotten one austringer drop since the season started and am drowning in beloveds
Little lost on why I have -2 less on first Austringer build in Range, Handling, and Reload. 😐
I still had my sunset rolls, still used in crucable. I was stoked for its return. 200 chests later ive found 2 deepsight . Weapon crafting is a joke.
