@kalicula7718 nah unbreakable is what charged grenades with controverse hold in general used to be, supernova was just the annoying cherry on top. Now there is borderline ZERO reason to run a charged void grenade setup controverse or not because they barely buff the grenades if at all and the exotic got pounded into the dirt by nerfs
Ive actually been trying to use Unbreakable like Weavewalk! While using Armamentarium, as long as you hav a full grenade charge you can pull up the shield for brief moments for shields and damage but far more frequently than with only one grenade charge.

Really solid gameplay. Although it definitely highlights how passive and boring the game has gotten at the competitive level though, way too much shit to play around for an aggressive meta to be viable. I kind of miss the smg meta tbh.
Of course its too passive now, people whined that smgs as a whole were op when it was very specific smgs that needed nerfs so ALL of them caught nerfs, shotguns have either been too oppressive or useless so now you only see precisions or conditional, everyone got more health and oneshot abilities outside of a few niche cases all got nerfed so now it's spam a bunch of garbage or capitalize on one good tag, in short the sweats whined for checkmate to be the boring standard and now it is but the spam is still apparent on certain classes and the game borderline requires no gunskill because 90% of the meta pick weapons hand you crits on a silver platter or don't require crits, just aggression when you have overhealing or an overshield.
Yeah, any meta that encourages passive play and grouped-up team shots will be a snoozefest no matter what, but less special ammo and more primary gunfights are what the community wanted I guess. I still attempt to play aggressively though. My KD might suffer as a result now, but finally getting that triple kill shotgun rush or whatever gives me way more satisfaction and fun in my play sessions than falling asleep in my chair teamshotting with a high-impact pulse rifle every match
@@Lunaria_Nekojust a suggestion, I was fighting a warlock not too long ago that was using Lightning Surge with Synthoceps and Strand Melee. It was on Pacifica. Absolutely dogged on us.
Smg meta was also cringe, bc too fast ttk to combat with primary unless you match with shotgun smg or sidearm, can just push and spray, and also the range could compete with hand cannons and auto rifles. The issue rn is we've gone back to ability spam. The only outlier weapons are Conditional and 3 burst pulses, maybe Khovostov. And Tarrabah is always op.
Looks like a fun counter that can only really be counter played by suppressing. But also love that’s the hunters in both games are the ones that rage quit.
I watched his video when it posted and immediately made the build lol. Not only is it great at countering ability spam, it's good at making people waste special ammo, baiting enemies to shoot you so your teammates can gun them down with ease, and you can do some really troll stuff on it. Excellent build and this is a great showcase of it.
I’ve been playing weavewalk a lot lately. But in my experience at least it’s only as good as your teammates. It an excellent bait tool, but it leave you too open for chase if you’re solo or have ass teammates.
Your experience matches up well with this gameplay, to be honest. Cammy did a good job at minimizing deaths, but he really wasn't top fragging or directly winning most of his engagements, his teammates were playing well enough to be winning their engagements while Cammy distracted the other team. If you are playing stacked, I imagine this is much stronger since you can rely on your teammates to slay out much more consistently.
This looks fun, but if they run anything that freezes (conditional finality, shadebinder, etc), it pulls you out of weave-walk. Just something to keep in mind
Other than conditional most freeze abilities aren't very favored at the moment. But you should always respect a good shadebinder regardless of what subclass you are playing.

Aggressive defense: Whether you push me or I push you, this freeze rift is going to be the reason your card is flawed at the end of this match. Both are viable with a bit of practice but depending on how you play one will always be scarier than the other for different people.
Stuff like this is why I grind competitive all the way to Ascendant at the beginning of every season. Before everyone catches on to whats meta or what counters this or that, etc.

EatYoWaffles shoutout, he's my goat. Got his trials with every subclass video in my recommended and immediatly binged all his videos the same night. That trials video he did was so informative it made me a better player and I started playing trials way more often and going flawless almost every single week. Super underrated creator.
Weavewalk WILL get the chaos reach stasis treatment. Ie NO ONE used chaos reach before stasis, after release people used it to counter stasis. (Strandlock sees less then 3% usage rate but will skyrocket to counter prismatic hunter)
For those who want to fight against the smoke and other abilities but don't like weavewalk or broodweaver in general: Solar warlock with touch of flame healing nades and icarus dash is pretty much the only other counter.

I watched waffles video and made the build and played with it the last two nights. I’m sure it’s viable, I just didn’t want to invest the time entirely changing my cadence and play style in order to make this work.
The sandbox right now is miserable... Nobody is doing anything, just crouching far away off radar hanging out. It’s so boring. Ability spam being so prevalent forces this play style and that sucks. The jav gameplay is spicier, weavewalk is nasty
I love Weavewalk. I would use it, but I just find the rest of the Broodweaver kit so uninspiring. Much like Stormcaller, only it doesn't have any redeeming qualities. I feel the same way about a few other subclasses, I just don't play other classes as much.
I see potential for this class, i just haven't unlocked it yet. Requires me to play lightfall campaign which I've done a few missions of but it's really a slog to do...

Personally, im running the "playing literally any other pvp game until serious nerfs happen and latency issues are even adressed by the devs" set up. Its done wonders for me

The way people play Destiny makes it such a snore fest. Sure, taking one hit and immediately running away with Stompees might be the most “effective” way to play, but fighting people with guns is the majority of why this game is fun. Nobody wants to have fun and get into good ol’ gunfights anymore. I’m glad people like Cammy are still trying to actually get into gunfights despite all the ability bs. I’ll stick to Elden Ring and RDR2 where the I’m reminded of what fun in gaming is.

It's better for enabling your team/blues. I find that a lot of players have a bad habit of "trying" to bait, but they just lose their one(s) because they were weakened by that attempt.
Prismatic hunter can definitely be annoying, but holy shit am i glad weavewalk isn't meta. The damage resistance is so ridiculous that i dont know how even with low usage it hasnt been tuned more.
Its because 1. Bungie lacks foresight in "balancing" and 2. Weavewalk is limited by the fact that its tied to a melee ability and requires an air dodge input to activate so one its tied to a stat thats largely ignored because the subclasses that usually care about melee regeneration usually have some way to circumvent the recharge so most people don't keep high strength armor and the air dodge requires you to stop shooting, pop the ability, then disengage smartly or have a very deliberate push to turn the tides before your opponent expects it. Don't get me wrong it gives you more DR than god but since it largely gets overshadowed by seasonal metas in usage or people complaining loudly about something that isn't op to begin with but no lifers are mad about it and yelling on twitter so it gets patched and weavewalk lives rent free and unnoticed.

Don't get me wrong it gives you more DR than god but since it largely gets overshadowed by seasonal metas in usage or people complaining loudly about something that isn't op to begin with but no lifers are mad about it and yelling on twitter so it gets patched and weavewalk lives rent free and unnoticed.
@@ShadowNemesis575lmaoo. U can run ahamkara and get like 4 melees in top of the 3 u get. Also easy to build into considering warlock has only 2 stats to worry abt, recovery and discipline. Keep in mind this is the nerfed version, and it’s still busted asl. I’m just saying if ur gonna cry abt titans n hunters, better cry abt this too
@@ShadowNemesis575bungie is fully aware of when something is going to be beyond OP or straight poopy pants but they still need to learn that just because no one uses it doesn't mean something like weavewalk shouldn't have its damage resist essentially almost butchered to what it should be. It survives things that can kill supers like how is this just not a problem by default in their eyes.
