- Sterling Shepard, wide receiver for the New York Giants, joins The Carton Show to take a look back on his 8 season with the Giants, and relive the beat down he and his teammates put on the Philadelphia Eagles towards the end of the regular season. Shepard tells Craig Carton why that win felt particularly good, and whether he believes the Nick Sirianni and the Eagles had lost their motivation to try as the season wound to a close. He also talks the Dallas Cowboys' decision to stick with Mike McCarthy, and rallying around their back up quarterback Tommy DeVito.

As a giants fan, this interview just cemented to me that he’s not trying to play anywhere else. He’ll be officially retired here shortly imo.
He definitely doesn't want to play anywhere else. But I'm not giving up hope... We will see Shep in Giants Blue, to some capacity, again!!!
Please don't leave Shep!!! You are my favorite of all time, and always will be. I'm hoping to see you back in Giants Blue!!! #foreveryoungshep
Young Shep we gonna miss ya boy boy
Shep is a 1st class act..
Sterling is such a class act. If he is indeed done, I would love for him to work for the giants like Eli is…
It's sad that injuries ruined his career, but I'll be happy to see him finally move on. It should've happened a few years ago. He has nothing to offer.
He still wants to be with the giants , sign him to a vet min contract and let’s go one more with shep , btw come back wearing #87
I just keep thinking “what if the injuries didn’t happen”
He seems like a very nice young man. I really like him. But, come on. 23 TDs in an 8 season career? Moss had 23 TDs in one season. I hope he made a lot of money and I'm sure he did.
[edit: Fair enough. People have mentioned he was injured a lot. It's common for a host to build up their guest and Craig may have gotten carried away. That's not his fault. I just saw the touchdown number and thought, "Wait a minute."]
That would be due to his injury history. Had he been healthy throughout he would have definitely had more numbers
@@sincerelyyourz7984absolutely, his injuries prohibited him from being the receiver he could’ve been, nonetheless all love and respect for shep
Tearing your Achilles and ACL will do that, the fact he even came back from those injuries and could still play professional football is a miracle
If you ever watched his game he was actually a very talented receiver but like other said i juries and shittyQB play hindered his resume
Injuries kept him from being great
The Cowboys were close to winning a SB 25 years ago?
He can go help the eagles I’m sure they need a good receiver aj brown and avante need help
Eagles are out man
@@stanleylipka7657 I know that!!
He's such a good guy, great player. Wish he didn't get hurt so much.
Represents what NY Giants football is
He was trash he owes money 😂
Injuries destroyed Shep’s career
All ya do is come for coaches now days yall gotta chill.. alot of yall dnt even kno the game 4real
Dallas lost was not on the coach It was the sad execution of the qb dak.. he sucks.
As a giant good to see him go hurt bum was stealing money and a roster spot 😮
So glade he is done what a hurt bum
