    Nice explanation. I have one doubt. this is increasing mode so we use y=(3*x)+1 . if we have a both increasing and decreasing mode how can we use. please

    Sir . I like your Linear regression which is suitable for my thesis . so I have one clarification sir , I use 10 years data , Is it possible for using these much of data.

      What usecase are you building using linear regression using 10year data ? Having lots of data is god as model will get to learn different patters in it .Make sure to check and remove outliers

    If the orders were scattered and random for example something like
    Jan - 5, feb-30, mar-4, apr-100, may-27, jun-9, jul-0, aug-14, sep-44
    Is it possible still to use linear regression

    This example is time series and I believe not regression type .
    Predicting price of house - sq feet vs price linearly related . If area increases price increases .
    How could we say if month increases sales increases?

      You can consider feature as 'no of advertisement published in a channel' instead of 'months' .
