This was great, Mike. The only one I have seen live on your list was Hole, saw them twice many years ago, great shows. I am seeing Annabella in a couple weeks, for the first time, excited, love BowWowWow. Great video! Thanks for the shout out!
Lots of great records there Mike. Most of them I could’ve shown in a video if not for them being CD’s and me having to leave my Primitives records behind in Denmark (too much to carry). Amazing that you’ve seen them all as well!
You could see the steam coming off you when you were discussing Marianne 😂 Brilliant Annabella record, I haven’t seen that one before. Love Holly, I have shown her before. Slits fantastic! Pretty perfect there Mike, all fantastic, I’m back to the drawing board 😂 Mike
Hi Mike! Holly & The Italians is a new one for me! First time I've seen a mention of Nina Hagen. New York is one of my favorite tracks by her. I think Mike PC31 recently showed a Penetration album. I love that Primitives album. I have a copy on compact disc. I love your description of Toyah. Robert Fripp must be having a fun time! Courtney Love!
Ha,ha. ‘Crash’ was The Primitives hit. I started following them around on tour in 88, they were great for a while, the first album ‘Lovey’ is great and still a fiver. Intersting Hole was a good gig, I always imagine they would be a car crash, yeah that’s a decent album
Mike, playing a bit of catch up with some VC'ers that have contributed to my thread, so sorry for my late-ish reply! This was fantastic! Marianne Faithfull I saw live back in 2002 at Irving Plaza in New York City. A great performer and storyteller. I have other Nina Hagen releases (Nunmonksexrock; Fearless), but not that one. The big surprise was Holly and the Italians - that takes me back! I have not seen that anywhere in a long time. St. Etienne's Foxhouse Alpha is a CD I still play today. Thank you for taking the time to put the video together and mention my channel. I have subbed, and looking forward to checking out your videos as well. Ed 😎🎶🎤
Great video Mike. Words & Music is my favourite Saint Etienne album. I love Marianne Faithfull but I don't have very much of hers on vinyl. This thread is right up my street so I'll have a go. P.S. still waiting for the postman to call. Cheers Mike
Hi Mike - Excellent response with really fabulous women!
TOYAH 😍😍😍

Nina Hagen is just plain bat crap crazy and a musical genius in my world. One of my favourite artists.
The Primitives - Crash

Oh, that’s Toyah! I’ve seen her with Robert Fripp playing music in their kitchen on RUclips.

Well someone had to do the punk female singer and who better than you. Nice group of hard rocking female singers Mike.

Thanks for watching Ed. Mike
What's that Marion faithful song where she goes I've got cobwebs on my fanny? It always makes me laugh
Gary, it is Why D ya do it. It was her husband's floozy who had cobwebs up her fanny😂
