That's a nice box set. I have three of their five studio albums so I'll just stick to original pressings since they're relatively easy to come by. All the extra stuff is nice though.

Cool to run a book shop - maybe add records too! Nice finds - gen x is a classic of the 80’s- and that Television is a banger too - great finds 👍🫡🇬🇧 Belle and Sebastian are a great little band

was getting a bit worried there Mike...gien how prolofic you are in terms of output, your absence was quite noticable. Good to know you're well and great video. Also noticable that Mike Vinyl PC 31, whose output , like your own, is usually quite frequent hasn't been on for a lengthy spell. Hope he too is merely very busy. Miss his videos. James

I use to have the CD for that Belle and Sebastian box set. I am always amazed at how many 12 inches were produced in the UK. The US never got into that format. Nice to see a video again. A book store, wow. I know you have told me you like books but a whole store, wow. Best of luck.

Hiya Mike. Good to see you. Bookstore eh? Interesting. Belle and Sebastian, so excellent, that debut is just perfect from title, through the songs to thah jacket. Love it and them. Girls in Peacetime came out as a box set? Wow, I had absolutely no clue (my B&S collection is largely on CD's apart from having 2 or 3 vinyls as well). Did they release them on 33 and 45 rpm in that box? Ah, remixes and bonus tracks. Wow. Congrats on adding those 😊 Several unknown and so on there, but I see you got Nice Biscuit as well, I got mine couple of weeks ago, love it (Steve Carlson inspired purchase). Hope you are doing well, weather and grey and winter not withstanding (I'm very much not a winter person). Cheers from Morten

Ah this would explain why I haven’t heard from you on my channel (for what seems like years 😅)! I’m replying. On my phone in bed without my glasses at 5:30am btw….. I think I had that GenX 12” but mine had a pink inner. Never seen it again. I also saw that Nephilim, an OG copy for £10 but I didn’t pull the trigger. I had a listen online then went back…and guess what? I’ll give that Anchoress another try. Great to hear of your new endeavour. I’m looking forward to seeing it. I have a few books spare if you need any, I was going to take them down the charity. All the best with it and the opening, cheers 👍🛌

I remember the first jam song I heard was Eton rifles and I didn’t know what to think of it. Then I heard man in the corner shop and I just fell in love with them. That same day I went to a record store and bought a jam best of CD. I think my favorite is setting sons if I had to choose, but really to me all mod cons, setting sons and sound affects are tied at number one

The next one should be all exotica haha! Iv got about 2 dozen exotica albums now. I had to quit picking them up since they all sound so similar. You’re right no one on the VC seems to be interested in them haha. Songs the lord taught us one of my favorite albums ever. They look so cool on the back. Teenage werewolf was one of the first songs on guitar I ever learned along with goo goo muck and mongaloid. Can’t go wrong with adverts. Howard pickup is a very underrated guitarist. I gotta hunt down that mod mayday comp!

I see the motors pretty cheaply locally but Iv never given them a listen. But from your description I’ll have to pick it up next time I see it! Gents just went on my wantlist without even having to hear it haha. Wow those UK subs 45s are so cool, they don’t turn up locally. I might have to buckle down and order tomorrow girls or she’s not there online. Found the stones roses album on CD at a thrift store last week, had never herd them before that, fantastic band

Hey Mike, that smiths record has record has my absolute favorite smiths song, the peel sessions version of still ill. It just has a punch that the album version doesn’t have to me. It probably would be my favorite smiths record if it had the studio version of this charming man, but the peel version on there I don’t care for. Good finds!

Hey Mike, just listened to the spitfires on RUclips, they are great!! Been listening to alot of mod revival lately so I’ll have to pick something up by them. Have you preordered the new DEVO demos Recombo DNA album that is coming out? The track list looks fantastic!

Re stuff coming out in October, the new Goat album came out on the 11th. Not that I'm biased at all (😉) but it's well worth checking out

Portishead's 3's a fantastic album. I've got their first two on vinyl but, like you, have 3 on CD

I should probably dig into Upupayama. I've never been quite sure what to think of Tori, but if you like her, I will have to keep an open mind!

Forgot commenting this. Come across Anchoress a couple of times lately, someone made me aware she’s Welsh and therefore I, with my welshiness, should give her a listen. And yeah, more music I’d love to have. Got quite a few Tori Amos on CD me. Hope you are having a splendid weekend.

Hi Mike. I think the only way to curb your record buying is to stop watching other vc channels. You showed 4 or 5 there that are now on my want list. I really love The Anchoress and Mount Elephant looks like my mind of music. I nearly bought those Suzanne Ciani albums when they were released, looks like I should have. Great finds mate👍👍👍

Years ago when shipping from the US wasn't ridiculous Third Man had a sale 7" batches so I snapped up the complete White Stripes &" output. I miss Jack & Meg's raw rock days. Love J&MC. Don't have that B-sides comp though. That National album & the next one The Boxer are crackers. Sadly there's no boxer on the front 😂I absolutely love the third Portishead album. Brilliant band. I also really like Geoff Barrow's other band Beak. Very Krautrock influenced. Cool stuff. Nice haul mate. Cheers...Ben

Really want to get that Paul Draper but will have to Discog it. Not much hope finding that one up here.
