I would love to see a bit more on how to properly play this build, I'm almost done making one myself and am still pretty new here so I'm finding it hard to get a good spell rotation going on when playing on the test shard. How often should you be spamming mushrooms for instance? And what spells are important to keep up (bless, magic reflect or anything like that?). I can at least kind of understand which magery spells I should be using but I definitely have no clue when it comes to the necro spells. Are there any that should be kept on auto-cast at all times?

Would love to see a video on a break down of what items that drop off monsters are worth holding onto. Mostly gear you have to identify, since some of the loot is obvious like the skill scrolls, extracts, cores, etc. But all this stuff I've identified I have no clue if it's worth anything, and I'm not entirely sure what all to be watching out for.
Pick all the magic items up and disenchant all but the top 2 mod tiers.

Cool video! What do you think about herding necromancer instead of poisoning if you're first starting and money is tight? Would blood aspect ever work here too? Just feels thematic :) thanks for making the great content
Herding necromancer is great! Lots of damage! If you take blood aspect you will def want to make sure you have Eval too since you will have lots of extra mana to cast offensive spells with!

Can you re-do the necro summoner build for 2022/23? I see theres a 50% poison nerf on boats now, wonder if its still just as good. And favorite spots/aspects
You just need to make sure and board the other ship. Then that dmg reduction is gone. Poison is still S tier for boats. I'd suggest Airborne rather than targeted venom in the poison codex

Regarding the interaction with fire aspect, so if I understand right every "damage tick" (poison, disease, flamestrike's damage over time, etc) has a chance to proc the aspect?
Yeah. Although your pets wont have a chance to proc it.
Im playing 120 necro 120 spirit 100 eval 100 magery 100 meditation 100 wrestling 80 herding with void aspect on chest. Summons: Tier 4 summon creature with vitality perk and x2 Liches with max epicbarrage dmg on perks.
Hey there ive been slowly following this build and I'm assuming you use a poison kit and if so what do you use your points on for it?
Targeted venom max (if your only pulling one mob at a time)
Terminal w 2 upgrades
Susceptible w 1 upgrade
Efficient w 1 upgrade
Accumulation max
Is what I was doing most recently.
If your pulling multiple monsters switch to airborne from targeted venom.

Spirit Speak increases the stats and skills of your summons. Would it not be better to bring it to 120?

Sure. Nothing wrong with that. Can def make a elemental build w that. I've even seen some people take herding!
I went for them being moreso a meat shield than anything and slight extra damage.
Most damage comes from spells and poison as u can see in this particular build.
Still up-to-date, or would you make changes if you were to build it now? Thanks for the build idea!
This is the variation I did to it once the bard codex came out.
Otherwise yes still very viable :)

I'm this build and kind of in a really weird spot.... feel like with 120 poisoning and 120 taste id need poison armor.. but with eventually with 120 necro will want death armor and with command book for tanking
Always many different ways to play many different builds my friend.
My personal favorite is eld book and poison armor atm.

Everything up to the 7th circle should be able to be purchased at a mage shop. 7+ I believe needs to be crafted by a person with inscription tradeskill

80 of Spirit gives only 16 points right? Don't you need 100ss for the 20points on summons book?
The 100 necro gives the same effect currently. Even with 0 spirit speak. Idk if it's a bug or not though.

Originally this build had 0 points in SS and had more SDI. The idea was to kill them as fast as possible and relied heavily on teleport and hinder.
It was dangerous and fun!!
From patch notes:
Players can now use the upgrades from a Summoner's Tome if they have at least 80 Spirit Speak or 80 Necromancy Skill
The Max Points Unlockable total for a player for Summoner's Tomes is now determined by the higher of a player's Effective Spirit Speaking skill or Effective Necromancy Skill
Seems like you don't really need any spirit speak on a necro at all!? Still very good video, I really enjoy the eldritch book and taste ID I picked up after watching. I might even swap out spirit speak for necro when I can afford it :D

No, in truth that only hurt about 30 damage on tick. Minimal nerf. Especially of you got damage to poisoned creatures links.
