I went to Jr. High just down 52nd ave from the plant, in the early '80s. Used to stop by the store on the way home and pick up a pound or two, generally Watermelon, or Pink Lemonade. My grandparent's place was just on the other side of Van Bibber Valley. When the wind was right, you could smell what flavors were being made that day ...
It's all Condos now where the old plant used to be.

Best childhood memories was going past the plant on Ward rd. And smelling
    candy being made. 💗

Growing up in Denver in the 1970's we LOVED the Cinnamon Fire Stix...long and flat...like a slap bracelet...and only 10 cents each! Woo Hoo! 😋

Driving up Ward Rd. past the factory in the 70s, you could smell what flavor they were making that day. Sometimes you’d catch the smell of the Coors brewery on the same trip.

I remember getting jolly rancher sticks in the early 90’s at convenient stores. One of my favorite candies.

Back in the 70's we would buy the flat sticks at the roller skating rink in Longmont Colorado.

Why didn't you mention the name of the original "Local Candy Vendor" that they bought out ? Exactly what "research" did you do ?

Not in our house! Those nasty generic peanut butter candies were the rejects.

As a long time hobby documentary filmmaker I know a great documentary when I see it. I happen to be a weird lifelong Jolly Rancher Candy fan. This is a very well produced documentary bravo 👏 keep them coming 👍🏻
