Helpful video! Adding few things tho... You can have up to 10 banks of 6 sounds (00-9Z). You can use any audio SW (Audacity is free) to compress the samples down to 8bit.
Thank you for the input - I was thinking of talking about banks, but I figured if the viewer would get started with A1-A6 their own findings & experience would lead them to A7... Audacity is a good suggestion, the one I mentioned does it "drag&drop" it´s really quite amazing in ease of use!
Do you know what the correct sample rate is that I need to set my samples at in audacity? Whenever I import my samples onto the MicroGranny they’re all coming out too slow.
22kHz 16 or 8 Bit. mono! Choose "Resample" under "Tracks" tab, and after mixing stereo to mono, then export as wav file in the "File" tab menu@@iamdamosuzuki_
very cool! I think this is a cool device that I dont understand hahaha id love to hear what your band sounds like with the microgranny, i bet its sicccck!
Hey thank you for your comment, you would have to come and hear us somewhere, because me commit to making unrehearsed music only in the moment, it happens and never record it :-) I did google your label name and listened to some stuff - I like it!
oh really?! thats a wild style, i play in an improv metal group called TUN occasionally, basically anytime they are in the area having a show i get a phone call and i do some weird electronic noises with them, its basically one of those core bands with breakdowns its pretty sweet tho, super heavy and the drummer rules that being said, fucking get over here in kansas! lets do a show!@@gear_porn
you probably have an issue with the sample rate please check it is not 44.1khz! this can be changed in the program mentioned and this should solve your issues with the pitch of the sample
@@iamdamosuzuki_ Sorry, that is the only one I have :-( Maybe it has something to do with FirmWare? Try to upgrade or downgrade to see if it is a bug. Also you could try to find out the difference in pitch and pitch-shift the samples as a part of the conversion process in order to make ends meet? Hope that helps!
Hey thank you - I am saying uuhhmm a lot, but goes to show that I could get better at this :-) But if it helped you to get to making music quicker we all won!
i read about the file structure and could only find a warning: "dont touch the text files" So I never actually took the time to check, because it is not really necessary for all the settings are available on the machine itself easily. What I did is to empty the card completely - but i did backup all the original data from the card when I recieved the unit. then with only WAV files on the card I made my own "preset" and when that is saved on the unit text files are created automatically and accordingly - hope that helps

@@gear_porn well, first of all... And in comoarsion to your response... THANK YOU, for spending your time listening to my music... I dont do music for you or anyone else to learn anything from it. And its completely ok, for you to think anything about it. But, if someone told me it was a waste of time, i would not just blindly attack back... Id ask why he thinks its a waste of time, so I have some information and the i can evaluate if that "critique" makes sence, or it its just a troll...

Thank you!

So the issue I’m having is that the samples I’m trying to put into the MicroGranny are loading on at the incorrect speed. How do I fix that?

Anyone have any luck reading the presets' TXT files? I can't figure out their encoding. Would like to write the presets on the computer.
that would be a great thing! can´t be that complicated and lots of geeks out there :-')
Thank you for this great tutorial 🙏🏻

So I can delete everything on the original microSD except for the txt files? what are the other txt files I'm seeing?

thank you! there are also Breakout ribbon-cable-adapters which work fine here!
Here before 100k
100k coming closer fast!!! thanks for the sub :-)
You can have multiple presets though, so you don't need to keep changing A1-A6.

How much voice polyphony does the Microgranny has? Or can it only trigger one sample at a time?
only one voice!
Thanks
