For my future reference-
Foundation: chain 17
Row 1: Place SC in second chain from hook and continue for total of 16 stitches. Chain 1 and Turn
Row 2-14: SC in all 16 stitches ending with turning chain
Row 15: Increase SC on first and last stitch (18)
Row 16: Increase SC on first and stitches
Row 17-18: SC in every stitch (20)
Row 19: Decrease in first two stitches, SC for 7stitches and then Slip stitch in the next two, then SC 7 again, then decrease in the last two stitches
Row 20: Dec first 2, SC in next 6, Slip in to the next two, SC again in 6, then ending with DEC in last 2.
Fasten off and change to crust color. SC around while slip stitching in the top 2 chains of the “bread”

2:30 i dont get it, i only count 7 rows here but you said the next one is row 15… i am also at row 7 right now and its exactly the same as you so i dont get why you said row 15?

If you count the stitches just like the tutorial, that would be the same in the video. Maybe you did double crochet instead of single crochet. They are taller than single crochet.
