    Sir, you have this unique but interesting ways of simplifying concepts in Physiology. Never thought Introduction to Endocrinology could be made as understandable as you've shown here. Your gestures are awesome.

    For the posterior pituitary, I suppose it stimulates the release of ADH and oxytocin and not the actual site of secretion.

    • @henrykowe1463
      @henrykowe1463 3 месяца назад

      The hypothalamus produces these hormones and sends them to be stored in the posterior pituitary, the posterior pituitary gland then secretes it... Hence it's the actual site of secretion

      We are bent on teaching all systems in Physiology. But we do so strategically in order to try to satisfy the thousands of students in the community as much as possible.

    Sir please I didn't fully understand what you meant by rapid onset of action. Please could you explain it again?

    • @DrOssaiPhysiologyAcademy-DOPA
      @DrOssaiPhysiologyAcademy-DOPA  2 года назад

      ONSET of action is the time interval between stimulus for a hormone and the effect of the hormone. Peptide hormones are already preformed and stored in secretory vesicles. So, once the stimulus comes, they're just secreted immediately and begin to take effect. Understood?

    To further facilitate your success, I have done series of videos where I COACHED students on how to answer commonly-asked Physiology Essay Questions. Questions were gotten from 27 Universities in Nigeria. In the end, acing that exam is the only proof of learning in our current educational system.
