Ahh! Thanks for catching that! You're correct, the Hyoglossus is a suprahyoid muscle (the tongue is superior to the hyoid), but I accidentally put it in the column at 8:23 with the other infra hyoids when editing. My mistake!
I’m not an anatomy student, I’m not involved in the medical field or anything to do with biology. But I am EATING these videos up. Patrick makes these subjects so easy and fun to understand.
I like your idea, but I’m about to turn 49, and I am already deep in a career in the boating industry. It might be a little bit late for me. But I LOVE learning new stuff.
My pleasure! I've got four more installments in this series and will post a compilation video (over 70 minutes!) at the end. Good luck with teaching this semester!
Thank you very much, Patrick. I was a GerneralNurse now I work at SpaTherapy, very Useful and helpful because many people have Poor Posture and problems with their Neck I detail my customers and understand what I can help and customers help too.I already follow you.
Hi ! Just wanted to say your videos reallllly helped get a better understanding of the muscles ! My anatomy exam is only in a few weeks so thank you !!
Believe it or not, we have to learn the names of the muscles for cosmetology and I found your series extremely helpful! New subscriber and I shared your page with my peers. Thank you bunches!
Awesome! Thank you! I'm always excited to hear about careers that incorporate anatomy into their curriculum. I've seen comments from artists, engineers, and now cosmetologists.
We have to learn this for massage (as I am studying massage therapy) as well! Talked with cosmetologists from our school and they had to learn this, said it wasn't easy but they managed to do it haha
Please make a series on the bones and landmarks on and in the skull! That, combined with these muscle videos, would really help out students taking head and neck anatomy in the dental field.
Hard to remember all but always something to take … thank you ! I yawned after you did…. Wish I had the same chain reaction with learning ….. can learning be as contiguous as this? You are awesome !
Correction: Rectus capitis posterior minor muscle has origin at C1 posterior arch while the RCP major has origin at C2 spinous process. At 3:33 of the video you say they have the same origin.
I literally have no idea what he is saying since this is not even close to my field of study which is engineering...yet i always loved watching his videos and learning a thing or two
I mean I'm sure there's common ground between engerenning and biology. Such as Bernoulli's Principle & Frank-Starling law for the heart, then there's van't hoffs law, the nervous system is electrical engineering and the nerves/muscles use electrical gradients to send information, and then the physiology of breathing so your thorax is basically a vaccumn and the expanding/contracting of the rib cage changes the pressure in your chest from atmospheric pressure which allows O2/CO2 to move in/out of the lungs... I never took physics or chemistry in high school so when I took anatomy & physiology (right now) I realized it was more than just "memorizing parts of the body" and how even something simple like blood pressure or contracting a muscle uses a lot of physics!
Thanks a lot! Can you make a video in sequence of all structures in neck ? I mean which structure is posterior which is anterior , which is medial and lateral??? Please
Reeallyy nice explanation, but the omo in omohyoid comes from the Greek word omos which is translated into shoulder. But still, as a mnemonic el hombro is also fine :)
Hyoglossus is infrahyoid but placed superiorly on Hyoid?

He's a star
@@PinkThing-m5jmy mind automatically went to Patrick star-
You’re a human, you should know what’s inside you, everyone should be eating this up. It’s them.
Wtf ? If u r that much interested just come to medical field and u will see the all the colours of rainbow 😂
I like your idea, but I’m about to turn 49, and I am already deep in a career in the boating industry. It might be a little bit late for me. But I LOVE learning new stuff.
This is GOLD for my structural kinesiology & anatomy students. Thanks Patrick
My pleasure! I've got four more installments in this series and will post a compilation video (over 70 minutes!) at the end. Good luck with teaching this semester!
Because of all the neck issues that I have, I am so so glad that I happened onto your video. I am fascinated and locked in. Thank you.!!
I’ve watched this like 6 times in a row. This is super dope.
Thank you very much, Patrick. I was a GerneralNurse now I work at SpaTherapy, very Useful and helpful because many people have Poor Posture and problems with their Neck I detail my customers and understand what I can help and customers help too.I already follow you.
This guy is sooo helpful! He made me 100x less stressed for my anatomy exam. Thank you!
Great videos man! Currently studying for my lab exam. This is really helping me remember these muscles.
Hi ! Just wanted to say your videos reallllly helped get a better understanding of the muscles ! My anatomy exam is only in a few weeks so thank you !!
I'm so glad! These are the messages that make it all worth it :)
tysmm as a first year pre-med student this is very helpful!!!!

Love your energy on how you explain everything. Thank you so much.
Please make a series on the bones and landmarks on and in the skull! That, combined with these muscle videos, would really help out students taking head and neck anatomy in the dental field.
I came here to learn about the neck muscles so that I can train them correctly. I found a lot of good information here.
Hard to remember all but always something to take … thank you ! I yawned after you did…. Wish I had the same chain reaction with learning ….. can learning be as contiguous as this? You are awesome !
Hahaha, start this playlist on your computer before falling asleep, and you'll absorb the information over night.
I absolutely love your videos. I want to be able to teach and present this same way for my future videos! Cheers to your continued success!

I don't really need to know the neck muscles for my exam but all these videos are very interesting. So I'm binging them all!
You're really helping me with this videos may God bless you always🤗
GREAT GRAPHICS!!! LOVE YOUR DESCRIPTIONS!!!!
I literally have no idea what he is saying since this is not even close to my field of study which is engineering...yet i always loved watching his videos and learning a thing or two
If it makes you feel better, my knowledge of engineering is probably worse than your understanding of anatomy

to quote cardi b “that danglingly thang in the back of your throat” I fucking died at that😂😂
idk if the "OMOhyoid" muscle comes from el hombro ... but i think its from the greek word "OMOS" which means sholder
Another amazing video, Patrick! Thanks for sharing! =D
My pleasure!
Thanks a lot! Can you make a video in sequence of all structures in neck ? I mean which structure is posterior which is anterior , which is medial and lateral??? Please
Thank you, with time I’m sure your efforts will pay off.
I've just found out an amazing teacher
Your videos helped me so much!! All the series. Thank you!

Thanks so much feel blessed 🙌
the way I remember the omohyoid is because the shoulder blade in Portuguese, is omoplata!
Love u doctor, u r great
I am venturing into anatomy out of mere curiosity for my body, and I do appreciate your well-constructed video on this subject. thanks

How do you respond to the relatively new and enlightened study of fascia?
Reeallyy nice explanation, but the omo in omohyoid comes from the Greek word omos which is translated into shoulder. But still, as a mnemonic el hombro is also fine :)
Very good dude
Obliquus capitis superior originates on transverse process of atlas not axis

Isn't scalenes insertion rib 1 ?
Is that a Cortex hat?
Very difficult there should be some code to remember muscle as there should be one sentence to remember anterior neck muscle visa versa
What is the reason for the difference in the size of the SCM muscle, in your opinion?
I find this hardest to remember :(
finna be a Neckspert. Come at me world
