In the world of politics, a tale unfolds,
Of lawyers and presidents, their stories told.
But in the land of Trump, things went astray,
With lawyers facing challenges every day.
First came Cohen, loyal and brave,
But soon found himself in a legal maze.
      Stormy Daniels, hush money affair,
      Cohen struggled, caught in despair.
Giuliani followed, with hair so grand,
But his legal tactics didn't go as planned.
In the courtroom drama, he often stumbled,
With each misstep, Trump's case crumbled.
Jay Sekulow, with his legal might,
Tried to steer Trump's ship through the night.
But the waters were rough, the storms severe,
      Trump's lawyers facing obstacles clear.
Barr stepped in, with promises grand,
But even he couldn't save Trump's brand.
      Lawsuits, scandals, and investigations galore,
Trump's lawyers fought, but still, they bore.
In the end, the story remains,
Of lawyers entangled in political chains.
With Trump at the helm, they struggled anew,
In a legal battle they couldn't quite subdue.
So here ends the tale of Trump's legal strife,
A turbulent journey, a rollercoaster life.
With lawyers who tried, but couldn't quite mend,
The messes created by their president friend.

John Lauro needs to be dropped to C Tier. He filed an appeal of Judge Chutkan's gag order, and the DC Circuit Court of Appeals wrote back to inform him that since he was not a member of the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, he was not qualified to file appeals with them. They also told him how to find the forms. The man has been a practicing lawyer for more than 30 years, and he forgot he needed to join the Appeals Court Bar.

I know your not an attorney, because if you were, you’d understand that Lauro is a named partner and a paralegal or junior attorney are usually responsible for completing those mundane task that are renewals and membership applications. That man probably hasn’t had to deal with a bar committee since the entire process was made available online & has absolutely never practiced in DC. His mistake was not bringing a paralegal on his business trip to look into the processes on his behalf. Big lawyers like that do trials, not research.

Unless the retainer agreement specified otherwise, I don't think that could be blamed on an overeager paralegal or junior associate.

If you have different business interests in different states you easily can end up with a lot of them, because a property expert in New Mexico doesn't help you if you also need an expert for employee rights in South Dakota, and an expert for oil drilling licenses in Alaska. Its just that at some point you either hire one of the big legal firms which have all the experts you need where you need them, or you start a legal department at the company you own - but the big legal firms no longer want to be associated with Trump, and since Trump's personal, political, and business affairs are so intermixed most of the lawyers of the Trump organisation or political campaign are also his personal lawyers.

Back in the 1990's a lawyer from one of those big firms managed to get into trump's office to demand payment. trump pulled out a picture of a thoroughbred stallion that he said was worth $5 million, and offered the horse in payment. This offer was rejected, the firm in question filed a lawsuit, and trump eventually coughed up partial payment. But word got around the legal community, and after that no firm would work for him unless he handed over a huge retainer first. And since he was impossible to work for, fewer and fewer firms would even pick up the phone to listen to him. That's why there are no S-tier lawyers: they want nothing to do with him, as you pointed out.

That is an utterly exhausting number of lawyers. Terrible, incompetent lawyers.

Well, good lawyers want to be paid, or at least get a high-profile case that lets them show their skills and gain some reputation.
With Trump you won't get any of that. He famously doesn't pay his bills. Plus he has a huge ego, no impluse control, and constantly thinks he's smarter than anyone else, meaning any defense strategy you come up with will be ruined within a few days. So you'll get professionally embarassed and won't even get paid for it.

Love your quick, informative speaking presentation…you have a talent that I wish others would pick up
instead of dragging on and on and saying nothing…we all need a bathroom break!

I feel like this whole thing could be redone now that Habba somehow lowered the bar even lower than everyone else

He was already notorious for not paying his bills and forcing people to sue him in court then settle at 60 cents on the dollar. Contractors in NJ who were desperate for work started adding the difference they knew they'd lose into their contracts before working on his realestate. The lawyers didn't think he'd pull that on them until he stiffed Giuliani. Now, he has to pay up front.
