@@chrismohammed1762 I agree with that, Deane for being a debut with a new car surprised a lot of people especially with the difficulty of those mustangs so they keep saying really shows his talent.
Tuerck seriously owns that course. I think they hold him to a higher standard with or without realizing it because he's had so many beautiful, near perfect runs there
Deane is absolutely filthy he has pure talent to get behind a vehicle hes never driven and deliver such a performance in the first round, cant wait to watch for the rest of the season
I'm still salty about Field winning the event, i'm a Field fan but there are videos from people sitting on the stands right in front of corner 1 that show clear as day Field spun out on his own, Aasbo's decel light turning red for a millisecond didn't affect him AT ALL.
I’d even argue that he should have lost against Forsberg in the top 32. I’m not a Field hater at all, but he made a significant amount of corrections and was very shallow in the chase.
Whether it was by braking and or wall contact, Aasbo’s line gets abruptly changes as he’s leaving the zone. Almost certainly not enough for a spin, but it was an error none the less
if you saw the drone cam you would've seen how close field was to aasbo, that little decel did throw off field and did force the spin so he wouldn't make contact with aasbo, it was the right call and I'm honestly glad the telometers are here to show aasbo on his bs that he keeps pulling and I'm a James Deane fan here
@@thelunargamingrealm2229 Bro, Field was already spinning out when Aasbo tapped the wall, so claiming that's what threw him off is BS imo. Also, Aasbo's line doesn't abruptly change leaving OZ1, at least not enough to warrant him being deemed at fault for Field spinning, again imo.
I love Matt Field and all, but the mistakes he made in earlier rounds were all on him IMO,, Aasbo's tap on the wall had nothing to do with his spinout. He should have lost already to him
Matt Field's entry line enables him to get close to the lead from the start. He spun out from being closer than he expected. Out of every lead, only Aasbo's decel light came on in the first zone. Ignoring all this would be poor judging from the judges
Might be a good idea to add a little graphic showing what bracket the battle is and who won. Just so people can use this video to actually recap the event
Didn't understand why Aasbo lose against Field... That deccel didn't affect Field to cause the spun, he did it on his own, some videos made by people in front at the touch and go shows that
Problem is if you ignore the wall hit and the decel, Field's team protests and says Aasbo deceled in a non-decel area and they win that protest. Whether or not Field was actually spinning, you can't derive that from the footage and assuming he was, we don't know why, re: Aasbo or independent because there are matters of psychology at play here too in the approach to driving and that occurence. There are 4 facts of the case: Aasbo hit the wall and provoked a decel. Field's light does not indicate he was in the process of a spin, but it is also consistent with a fast violent spin, so that's a wash. He did spin or come out of drift abruptly. Aasbo straight forwardly did something he was not supposed to do. Add all that up the weight of the facts say it was the right and consistent call. Going the other direction ignores those facts and rests more on the speculative.
@@formuladrift if these decel meters are working without question, why did Castro and Hurst decel light not come on when they buried their car into the wall and obviously changed direction and speed? And some of the runs I was noticing the lights weren't on at all?
@@TooLoudBear Well think about what they are measuring. Hurst buries it, the G's are going to go into the back of the car simulating acceleration or something constant and he doesn't bounce off the wall, the car collapses. When Aasbo hit's the wall, the bumper collapses, but as the car resettles, the G's move forward after the hit, triggering the light.
@@formuladrift Aasbø's car has a very little upset in the wall tap. I don't know if you follow drifting, butt wall taps happen pretty often. But this is more about the decel/accel light. The vid from Rob dahm clearly shows field spinning before Aasbø was at the wall. There was an overhead drone shot showed one time immediately after this incident that showed field on the brakes leading up to the spinout(before Aasbø was close to the wall) and the in car vid just released from Aasbø clearly shows he was on throttle the whole time. And some of the runs this event the accel/decel lights weren't on at all? Clearly there's a serious issue with these lights. And if these lights are now the deciding factor, then we don't even need judges. So FD can save a ton of money on what it costs to get these judges out there. Sìqqqqqqqq cost cutting measure for sure.
@@TooLoudBear Following? No, I don't follow it. We create it and have been around for 20 years, so I'm well aware of cars tapping walls. I'm also aware that if you tap a wall and the car resettles, it can induce a g-shift, which can trigger the light, which is what it is supposed to do. I am also aware that when the lights are blue, that means the light is not functioning because it was moved or there is an electrical problem and we have a protocol for when that happens so we can move on with the show because the lights are tools, not a reason to stop the show and rewire a box or a car. Matt is spinning is a judgement call. Aasbo setting the light off is a fact and when you have a driver in proximity, who is expecting constant speed, even a 1mph drop when human reaction time is .25 seconds is enough to do the trick. So yes, I think I understand what is going on.
0:47 Forest needs way more credit for tapping the entry wall in qualifying and battles. That is some SERIOUS X Factor.
1:57 James Deane can DRIVE, my god what a lead...
Considering he’s in a WHOLE NEW chassis, made it the best lead you could do!
Want his Silvia back...
Feel bad for tuerck he was the most consistent and made one mistake and it cost him. Bummer
exactly, he's very consistent
Felt the same with deane, but if no one made a mistake tuerck had it in the bag

Can’t wait till deane gets his car figured out. He is one of my favorites to watch. The G.O.A.T

He slowed down drasttically cause of his walltap. Defintely his fault
Obrigado pelo espetáculo Fórmula Drifit!!! Parabéns pela excelente estreia Diego Higa!!! Brasil chegando 🇧🇷👏👏👏👏👏👏
James Deane is killing it!!!!
The battle that left the biggest impression on me at this tournament was the battle between the champions of Top 8, Aasbo vs. Deane!
Trenton Beechum first round in the new chassi already ripping. Was clear that Field spun out on his own.
james dean is on another level then all the pther drivers
Great finish by Rome!
james dean is too good
The torque on that mustang that spun out holy, it kicked in so hard in that corner
Stuke is the one to watch this year. Smoke and fire! Only smoke and mirror is on the chase side with those guys!
