Fantastic to see it drive at last. It sounds amazing. Absolute credit to you solving all those problems and getting it to this stage. Hopefully get to see it one day at a show.
I did this same conversion on my 8700 here in Australia I used a motor from a 8340 Already had 6 bolt crank Power steering pump bolts straight on And the sump didn’t need swapping as it was already a cast one
Yeah a 40 series engine is externally as close to the 401 as possible, it would slip right in. The 675, other than bell housing bolts and block length is set up very differently. Pretty much nothing else matches. 277hp though so it’s going to have a lot of variation
@Tommy Pepper’s Dirt & Diesel yikes. Mind you thinking about it I did receive a small inline filter one with a nice round hole in it.. glad you found the fault..
Great work well done, it's well worth the effort. Check out two similar converted Fords at Cathedral Mountain Railway on RUclips. First video " Haymaking 2022 with classic Ford Tractors, Part 1 mowing, tedding and rowing up ". Second video, " Part 2 Baling, Tedding and loading small haybales." Our TW15 has a NH TX 66 combine engine fitted whilst out 8100 has a NH 8970 tractor engine fitted. They have been running faultlessly now for over 27 years since their engine swaps. These conversions are the best tractors that Ford never made.
She lives! Nice one Tom 👍 pity about her diesel problem but shouldn’t be too bad, just takes time. Wonder why she’s bouncing on the revs? Governor or the rack making her do it?🤔
I’ve found the diesel problem, the cheap pre filters let in air. Trying to get a more solid setup. Governor for a combine is set very differently for a combine, makes it very twitchy. I’ll get it changed up soon
Great work. Great videos! Did you get the gear for the steering pump? We have a few here ready to bolt on if you need one. Could you put this conversion in a playlist to make easy viewing from the start?
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
Well done on your achievements , pity about the fuel problems but once you sort it I would run her on white fuel as Red is monkey business and certainly won’t run as well ax on White 👍

Finally. Thanks, yes I hope you do come and see
That first drive…… always a special moment 😊
That's a great looking tractor, all you need is about 10 suitcase weights on the front and a set of duals for the back .
🤤
What a sweet-sounding engine, I must say Tom you have done a superb job with it.
Thanks, I’m happy with ti
Great to see it running Tom and it sounds amazing!

Would be awesome to see it working hard!
Nice job 💪 might head up from Herefordshire too look round the show and see the tractor in person.
Now that's how a tractor should sound 🤔💪💪💪 good luck on getting the fuel problem fixed 👍

FAIR PROGRESS there sir.. well done.. hope you get the fuel problem sorted won't take much rust to block a fitting... stay safe 🏴
Thanks, I’m happy. Cheap pre filter letting air in was the problem

another great video
Nice to see a project coming to a conclusion.
Is there a tank breather?
There is a breather. It was the cheap pre filter letting in air

Sounds good
