As far as Yuen coming back to voice Avatar Wan, I think that's what's most likely and it doesn't technically hurt the lore when some people say "Why didn't Aang tell Korra about Wan?". I mean, Roku never always really went deep into conversation with Aang about the other past Avatars as much so there's that.
"Roku never always really went deep into conversation with Aang about the other past Avatars" Exactly. Until harmonic convergence all of the avatars had access to their full history. Even though they don't seem to routinely commune with more than a full cycle back, Aang presumably knew that if she needed Wan they would just talk directly - no need to explain anything, y'know?
Aang and Korra also didn’t have very many conversations period. Wan was 10,000 years in the past. When Aang first saw the avatar statutes, he knew Roku when he saw him, but it took Katara to realize they were in a hall of avatars before Roku was spotted. It is somewhat implied that the connection is strongest with the avatar’s most recent incarnation.
I wouldn't be surprised if "Lost Realm" will be to the Avatar movie what "Ancient Futures" was to "Jurassic World," a working%"code" title which can be used freeky without anyone not in the know finding out what is actually being worked on.
I think the name ‘lost realm’ means there’s going to be a realm that’s not the spirit world nor the normal world (I forgot what they were called, haven’t watched avatar in a while lol).

While I understand the reasons why they’re doing the voice actor change, although I’m unsure if it’s entirely necessary, I think it would’ve been better implemented as a general rule of thumb for future castings instead of going back and changing the originals.
the only cannon ancient villain i can think of would have to be elder glow worm as he has repeatedly plagued several previous avatars and it was stated he is ancient and older then most of the other spirits (older then the sun and moon spirits and i believe he is just as old or even older then ra and vaatu), we know the last time he appeared kyoshi destroyed his physical form and banished him back to the spirit world but considering 250-300+ years have passed since there battle that would be enough time for him to reconstruct his physical body and return, he is the only current cannon villain that would be a legit threat to current aang based on the timeline, he is also the most well known canon villain that has yet to feature on screen and so far has only appeared in books/light novels and been mentioned a few times in the comics, the lost realm could very well be the place/prison kyoshi banished him to and since a few centuries have passed he would now have regained his strength and broke out or he manipulates a side villain/antagonist into freeing him (although him manipulating some one into doing it would be 2 similar to how vaatu escaped his prison korra) and considering how ancient he is i can definitely see him having fought wong and ra in the past (wouldn't be surprised if he was the one that killed wong as i honestly doubt he just died in some random human vs human conflict considering how weak other benders were during his time and how powerful he was) and over the 10,000 years since has been a re occurring villain for other avatars and now aang, i am hoping it is infact him but i would be fine with a brand new villain as well but considering how much of a menace he is stated to be in the LN/books and comics i would prefer he is the villain for the movie.
As you say, plenty of room to introduce a new creature, but this really makes the most sense. He can already burrow between the worlds, allowing him to find a hidden plane of existence. After his loss to Kyoshi he would absolutely find somewhere hidden to recover and plot his vengeance. Bautista would be a good casting choice for him too, IMO.
@@fools5271 if it is him he would have had to reemerge recently bc it woulda taken him multiple centuries to rebuild his physical body and strength up to the point he could reenter the physical world, infact i think kyoshi defeated him when she was in her 20s-30s and since she lived until she was over 200 along with the 2 avatars after her before aang means it likely took him 400-500+ years to return rather then the 250-300+ i originally said
@@fools5271 spirits need a physical body to manifest into the human world (atleast until korra reopens the sprit portals) and the 2 ways to do it are to either use there power to make a physical body for themself and/or possess and take over a human body but should there body or host be destroyed and there connection to the human world severed or they are heavily weakened and banished by the avatar to the sprit world then they need hundreds of years to rebuild a new physical body and the strength needed to forcefully enter the human world and prior to korra opening the portals only the most powerful and knowledgeable of spirits could do this
Did you watch the video? Or read ANYTHING on the movie? Zukos actor is most likely returning,Dante Basko has talked on the movie in the podcasts. You are not a real fan if your only info point is a RUclips video title
something else the title could be trying to say is the spirit relm, it seems to be more known about in legend of korra than it was in avatar atla, soo maybe in this time period they explore it a bit more?
I already have worried about this project since the announcement of the va cast was based on the inclusivity and diversity casting instead of the og when they're already perfect as is, they're already old and it's not like they can't act mature
I assumed father glowworm went to Kyoshi’s fox after Yun died since the eyes were green and I assume a knowledge seeker searching for knowledge but when the fox got Yun and Glowworm’s spiritual energy, it connected to Kyoshi.
Any avatar movie that will have to be produced now needs to touch on a key point, they need to touch on how the new avatar will connect to the spirit world and past avatars
I know it'll never happen; but I think it'd be cool if one day we see new Primary Elements. The only ones that could work though would be Light and Shadow. They are Elements of Nature (in Fantasy anyway). They are also Opposites to each other. This help maintain Balance. As far s how to introduce them? Well, either they could be newly discovered or ancient and hidden. If new; the Avatar could meet the first chosen Lightbender and Shadowbender and find a way to integrate them into this new world. If ancient and hidden; I'd say they could be *deep* underground. Where no one would even think explore. There are a lot of fun possibilities.
I'm honestly going in the the expectation to be disappointed. Everything thats come after ATLA has just been 1 disappointment after another from Korra to NATLA. Now the creators are almost completely changing the VAs because they have their own notion that they now need to be Asian? Like, i get thats what should have happen from the beginning in the cartoon, but to change it now and not let the OG VAs that we know and love reprise their roles seems like a bad move. All the VAs are older, they wont sound like their kid selves.
I don't even know why they want them to be Asian when they don't genuinely respect Asian culture and ethics and traditions . Avatar since 2007 was subpar story with story problems with woke policies

That's why we want them back. They are older and don't sound the same, so they *can* reprise their roles. I dont really like the fact that this movie will retroactively bring stuff showed in The Legend Of Korra, as the show itself is really bad and breaks a massive amount of continuity as well as all of the political messages it tries to get across, Wan might be interesting in concept, tho honestly the air of mystisism around the 4 elements was always one of the things i loved about the show, and Wan story not only has the embarassing cultural overlap of "good vs evil spirit that are definetly not just a rehash of the bible" at its core, having no real depth like decisions and villans from TLAB had, as well as removing the mistery that made bending feel like a real historic and cultural relic. Exactly.

Why is it that Zuko MUST come back but when it comes to the other actors returning everyone is all "Oh who cares?" They were just as iconic as Zuko was. I wanted to see them return but noooo everyone said oh well but for Zuko HE MUST RETURN. the only cannon ancient villain i can think of would have to be elder glow worm as he has repeatedly plagued several previous avatars and it was stated he is ancient and older then most of the other spirits (older then the sun and moon spirits and i believe he is just as old or even older then ra and vaatu), we know the last time he appeared kyoshi destroyed his physical form and banished him back to the spirit world but considering 250-300+ years have passed since there battle that would be enough time for him to reconstruct his physical body and return, he is the only current cannon villain that would be a legit threat to current aang based on the timeline, he is also the most well known canon villain that has yet to feature on screen and so far has only appeared in books/light novels and been mentioned a few times in the comics, the lost realm could very well be the place/prison kyoshi banished him to and since a few centuries have passed he would now have regained his strength and broke out or he manipulates a side villain/antagonist into freeing him (although him manipulating some one into doing it would be 2 similar to how vaatu escaped his prison korra) and considering how ancient he is i can definitely see him having fought wong and ra in the past (wouldn't be surprised if he was the one that killed wong as i honestly doubt he just died in some random human vs human conflict considering how weak other benders were during his time and how powerful he was) and over the 10,000 years since has been a re occurring villain for other avatars and now aang, i am hoping it is infact him but i would be fine with a brand new villain as well but considering how much of a menace he is stated to be in the LN/books and comics i would prefer he is the villain for the movie.
The 100 year war and avatars disappearance has given him free reign to feast on humans and become powerful 😅
@@fools5271 if it is him he would have had to reemerge recently bc it woulda taken him multiple centuries to rebuild his physical body and strength up to the point he could reenter the physical world, infact i think kyoshi defeated him when she was in her 20s-30s and since she lived until she was over 200 along with the 2 avatars after her before aang means it likely took him 400-500+ years to return rather then the 250-300+ i originally said
@@CrimsonReapa is he unable to enter the physical world without a physical body?
@@fools5271 spirits need a physical body to manifest into the human world (atleast until korra reopens the sprit portals) and the 2 ways to do it are to either use there power to make a physical body for themself and/or possess and take over a human body but should there body or host be destroyed and there connection to the human world severed or they are heavily weakened and banished by the avatar to the sprit world then they need hundreds of years to rebuild a new physical body and the strength needed to forcefully enter the human world and prior to korra opening the portals only the most powerful and knowledgeable of spirits could do this
The one thing I want from this movie (apart from it being a good one) is more Iron screen time, in the human or the spirit world !

I really liked avatar wan. I’d love to see him show up! I also want Suki(and maybe Iroh) to show up.
something else the title could be trying to say is the spirit relm, it seems to be more known about in legend of korra than it was in avatar atla, soo maybe in this time period they explore it a bit more?
I already have worried about this project since the announcement of the va cast was based on the inclusivity and diversity casting instead of the og when they're already perfect as is, they're already old and it's not like they can't act mature
I think it's referring to the spirit world
Maybe Father Glowworm will be the villan. That could be interesting to see him animated
Makes the most sense, he should be powerful again considering the 100 year war and avatar disappearance giving him free range to consume humans
I assumed father glowworm went to Kyoshi’s fox after Yun died since the eyes were green and I assume a knowledge seeker searching for knowledge but when the fox got Yun and Glowworm’s spiritual energy, it connected to Kyoshi.
So almost none of the original voice cast have been asked back because DIVERSITY …
One thing I would love to see in this series is what I call animal benders and the peregrine falcon that is half man and half falcon.
@@klairbaranek You'd be better off watching another show, then.
The possibility that people won't know it's Avatar from the title
Aka “clickbait”: movie edition
Any avatar movie that will have to be produced now needs to touch on a key point, they need to touch on how the new avatar will connect to the spirit world and past avatars
Looking that Korra couldn't connect again with the past avatar and rava again, so everything should be in preparation for the next avatar
Avatar fans are satisfied with anything I swear 💀
I'm honestly going in the the expectation to be disappointed. Everything thats come after ATLA has just been 1 disappointment after another from Korra to NATLA. Now the creators are almost completely changing the VAs because they have their own notion that they now need to be Asian? Like, i get thats what should have happen from the beginning in the cartoon, but to change it now and not let the OG VAs that we know and love reprise their roles seems like a bad move. All the VAs are older, they wont sound like their kid selves.
I don't even know why they want them to be Asian when they don't genuinely respect Asian culture and ethics and traditions

@patricofritz4094 it's not like we are even going to be seeing them anyway.
@@sonorangaming449 agreed . I would prefer the original cast . I really hope the writters have watched and disected both shows thoroughly and are able to do something that really reflects what The Last Airbender was all about, which is hard, given the fact that the show has hundreads of themes and executed them flawlessly
The show didn't break any continuity. And Raava and Vaatu are based on Zoroastrian and Hindu mythologies, not the bible.
@@vetarlittorf1807 It breaks continuity regarding :
- How spirits work;
- The avatar journey and how bending and becoming the avatar actually works;
- Massive historic events, such as the 100 year war, never freaking mentioned;
- The avatar state becomes useless and Korra is simply gifted with it and the ability to turn it on and off whenever she wants, meanwhile Aang had to either give up completely of his relationships and all that keep him attached to his soul, not doing it at the end/
When it comes to Raava and Vaatu, different sources will tell you different stories from their inspiration, some will say that they are based on the Ying and Yang, some Zoroastrian and Hindu mythologies. Tho with all of the political bullshit that they implemented over in the show, with the "americanization" of so many different aspects, you really gonna tell me that you will defend the background of 2 entities you cant even trace their inspiration, because it is so generic and has no sort of emotional nor ethical conclusion, it is literally "good spirit vs bad spirit", as if every freaking culture in the world didnt had one of those, amongst a sea of ideas and inspirations, you have one a toddler could have pulled off on his own
