I look forward to all your posts. You've become a ritual. I just want to thank you for all your hard work and all the time you put into this channel. I've been sewing for 50+ years and you always bring me a little bit of joy when I notice a new post. Thanks 😁
Beautiful tops. Love the silk tshirt look and have mentally put a real silk top to my to do list. Adding a wide, brown belt at your empire waist point (or natural waist, bloused) will be a nice way to change up the styling of your dress. For some reason, I can’t carry off the free flowing prairie vibe. It’ll look good on you either way.
I love this so much! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I just finished making the adjustments to lengthen the top to a dress but the back length didn’t line up with front one. I did the same measurements so not sure what I did wrong. Any suggestions?
Hmmm. That's strange. Is it possible for you to post photos in our Facebook group so we can have a visual? Not sure we can say what went wrong without seeing unfortunately. ~K
You marked your waist on the pattern. How did you determine where was your waist was? Each pattern is different in the looseness of the armscye & how much it hangs below the armpit area.
Hi Toni. You can measure your shoulder to waist and transfer to the pattern or you can go the super easy route and hold the pattern paper up to your body in a mirror and mark it that way. ~K
I want to do this but I didn’t think it could possibly be as easy as you make it look. I would need to do a FBA And I’m not a very experienced sewist. Should I get a pattern with extended cup sizes?
Hi! You will want to take a look at both the body measurement chart and the finished measurement chart for the pattern. Then think carefully about where your measurements fall AND what sort of ease you are comfortable with. Almost all LN patterns include a done for you FBA option inside the pattern- for most people that gives enough extra ease at the bust. Love Notions patterns include all the options in one pattern - so there would be no need to get an extra version or different version of a pattern. Hope that helps! Feel free to message help@lovenotions.com with your specific measurements to get some more personalized help - OR join our private #LoveNotionsPatternSupport group on FB where you can post a picture/measurements and you will get TONS of immediate responses and probably feedback from someone with similar measurements to you!
Thanks for showing the short sleeve large bicep adjustment. Lightbulb moment! I’ve noticed on many Love notions patterns that the sleeves (regular short sleeves or 3/4 sleeves) don’t go straight across the arm when my arms are down. How can I make the end of the sleeves go straight across my arm?
Your Harmony dress didn't do it for me on your mannequin but on you, it looks fantastic. I am currently upcycling the ugliest dress on the planet that my friend offloaded to me as she hated it into a Harmony top. It's my first Harmony, although I've had the pattern for ages. I have some beautiful viscose twill, so maybe there will be a dress
There is also a free pattern for a tulip sleeve for the Harmony Shirt along with a hack for a pleated shoulder for the sleeveless version.
Yes indeed there is! ~K

Couldn't agree more. Whitney is such a gem to have here on RUclips! ~K
I thought, foolishly, that I didn’t need this pattern, since I have the Cadence. Then I saw your dress. Yes, I need this pattern now!
Oh they are totally different! You must have both! ~K
The blue dress you are wearing is fantastic! What pattern is that?
I love the dress that you are wearing. You look fabulous in it.
🥰🥰🥰 ~K
What a beautiful dress! I love the idea of adding ruffles. Just got the pattern. Can’t wait to make a dress. Thanks for the inspiration :)
Wonderful! Happy Sewing! ~K

Love, love, love what you’ve done with the Fox fabric! Perfect for fall and looks fabulous on you😊 Great pattern choice!
We love it too Donna! ~K
Very helpful thanks
Glad it helped! ~K
Wow, that idea of just splitting the short sleeve in tow to widen it is just brilliant..
Glad you like it! ~K
Love, love that dress!
Me too!! ~K
Thank you for sharing this. The alterations you shared are helpful for me new to garment sewing.
You are so welcome! Happy Sewing Mary! ~K
Just grabbed the pattern! Woohoo! How did I not already have this? 💗
Woohoooo! Happy Sewing! ~K
Got my pattern! Thanks for the tips! One suggestion: use a different color paper for the pattern alterations, that way the adjustment shows better
Great tip! Happy Sewing! ~K

You may need to add some at the center tapering to nothing at the sides. Or you can do a little slash and spread action. ~K
Great tips!
Glad you like them! ~K
Love the dress. How did you lengthen the short sleeves?
I think the longer sleeve on the dress is just a different pattern piece that is included. The flutter sleeve.
It looks like she may have just added length at the sleeve hem.
Nice thanks
Thanks for stopping by Debbie! ~K
