I would actually recommend watching Superman Returns from 2006. It was made as a direct sequel to this movie, and Brandon Routh is technically playing the Christopher Reeve version of Superman. And to his credit, he does a fantastic job bringing Reeve's version of the character back to life. It has the feel of the first two films, has the classic music, and is overall a good homage to Reeve. Def at least worth a watch.
Nah for me that was stupid doing a sequel movie in 2006 to a movie from 1981. And with different actors etc. Part of the reason why the movie bombed. Superman 3 and 4 ... good or not are the only sequels to Superman 1 and 2. Tbh Superman 3 is actually better (way more fun) than Superman returns .... Superman returns has some nice stuff in it but thats about it.
SUPERMAN RETURNS FROM WHAT? Space? To find out if Krypton is really gone? WHAT, DID HE THINK HIS MOTHER AND HIS FATHER JOR-EL WERE LYING TO HIM??? Oh please!!! Talk about bad plots! That movie was a true chunk of vomit-drop! So glad IT TANKED AT THE BOX OFFICE. PLUS THE FACT THAT IT WAS DIRECTED BY A PEDOPHILE, KINDA PUTS A BAD TASTE IN PEOPLES MOUTHS. (No pun intended.) LATER…
Yeah, the ending of this cut is unfortunate... Superman turning back time was the original ending of 2, because Part 1 originally ended on a cliffhanger. They changed their minds and used that idea to end the first film. If Donner had been able to finish 2 back in 1980, he admitted he would have come up with a different ending. By the time they got around to making this alternate cut for Richard Donner, they didn't want to use the theatrical ending (which is different), so they had no choice but to repeat the time travel idea for this cut. I think it's pretty weak and personally, I would have ended it with Lois knowing his identity. The repetition feels cheap, and silly, considering it's the same ending as the first film over again! I actually think there is no perfect cut of Superman II, as both have strengths and weaknesses.
Yeah..."it was all a dream" reset button. I'm glad this alternate version exists, I bought it, but is it better? Uh...definitely not by "a lot." Also, the first time he reverses time is because Lois DIES, and here it's just because she's sad.
I believe if Lois still had knowledge about Clark/Superman, it would have made a richer relationship. But at the same time, it would put a mark on her at the same time.
Reversing the earth in part 2 makes much more sense as everything is building to that. It's strange everyone seems to think he reversed the earth just for Lois....🤦♂️
The reason for Clark's hair change in the hotel room scene is because they were using two different dates of film takes from audition reels. Donner's cut had to be pieced together from an array of recovered footage from Donner produced film canisters during his limited run as director halfway through film production. He never was allowed to complete actual filming for his movie concept as Richard Lester assumed the role as director and reshot new footage for a newly re-scripted version of Superman II.
Terence Stamp’s Zod is one of the greatest villains ever, and your mention of the character’s theatricality is observant. Like many British actors, he’s classically trained for the, ahem, "legitimate theater," and just plain classier than most of those with whom he shares the screen in terms of acting. The “Superman” films were a bit of a comeback for him, as his career hit a slump in the early ‘70s. You just started the “Star Wars” movies, and he appears-all too briefly-as a senator in Episode I.
Terence Stamp as Zod is just perfect casting. Ursa played by Sarah Douglas was someone I remember having a massive crush on when I watched this film for the first time. Overall these films are just so much fun and I hope James Gunn nails his Superman film. We need a more timeless sci fi Superman. One in a hyper Art Deco city of the Future that is Metropolis with really cool Art Deco architecture like the Superman Animated Series. And then combine that with a really cool Cosmic universe with unique Human sci fi architecture combined with aliens world filled with crazy stuff. All Star Superman always had a really cool art design so I hope he translate some of that over to Superman in live action.
When Superman reversed the Earth again he did it to make Lois forget that she knew Clark Kent is Superman, so Clark and Lois are basically back to how things were between them in part one.

42:10 Superman is supposed to be smart enough to say "venomous snake"! What he said means that if you make physical contact with the snake, then you're poisoned! 😁
This is aa slightly different superman 2 movie from the one i saw clark fell into a fire with his hand and lois discovered was unburned so she found out then. This one she pretended to shoot him .
Has anyone mentioned that both Christopher Reeve and Kevin Conroy (voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series) went to Juilliard at the same time, were in the same year, and were friends? Reeve and Conroy also thought about rooming together but the Soho rent where Reeve was living was too high for Conroy, so instead he became roomates with this other friend of theirs, someone who Reeve was roomates with during their freshman year. Some guy named, um...Robin Williams.
29:11 In "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" he learned the hard way that he was outclassed as a fighter when the Korean version of Ninjas defeated him by using his powers against him! By the way, that title is to acknowledge "The Adventures of Superman" starring actor George Reeves.
This movie was actually my first exposure to Superman and the idea of superheroes in general as a kid, while watching it on cable television. Honestly, the first two movies are legendary comic book films, that we should be grateful for kickstarting the growth of comic book films and how far they would evolve to be today
No one can top Christopher Reeves' performance. The rest are just as good in my opinion. Brandon Routh plays Superman in Superman return. His performance is very close to Christopher Reeve's and is set in the same universe
Closest we're getting with his performance is Bandon Routh in Superman Returns they wanted to catch the old movies magic again they did a bit, but it wasn't enough.
I really don't understand why people recommend that reactors see the Donner Cut blind. It really should only be seen after watching the Theatrical version. It's not a complete movie.
Yep, tend to agree. The Donner cut _is_ better in some ways IMO but it's also pretty rough around the edges, being put together from bits and pieces (and without context, the ending in particular just feels like a total rehash of 'Superman'). Still, Mage seemed to have a good time anyway so no harm done I guess.
35:04- Can't nobody say that better than him. Classic line and very blasphemous "Kneel Before Zod" Like, bro it's Superman. He was created by 2 Jews. He's not gonna kneel to you.
3:32 Wait until you discover Danny Elfman's Batman soundtrack for the Tim Burton's Batman films it's amazing. When I think of Superman and Batman John Williams and Danny Elfman's music comes to mind right away.
27:10 Meg! Ignore the others who don't want you to have the full experience! 1984's "Supergirl" starring actress Helen Slater, Christian's sister, takes place between "Superman III" and "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" and we get all of the domed city known as "Argo City". It survived Planet Krypton's destruction by going to a different dimension! Brandon Routh is a good substitute for CR in "Superman Returns" and in the "Arrowverse" set of series. However, we get both CR and Helen in the 2023 movie "The Flash"! That's irony for you! 😊
I had high hopes for that one. But, it failed to live up to these Chris Reeve movies. The characters just didn't seem to have the strong personalities that we saw with Reeve, Kidder, Hackman and the others. They were dull and lifeless.
I'm so glad that you watched this version of Superman 2 staring Christopher Reeve. The scene where Lois shoots Clark with a blank 18:44 is my favorite scene with Lois. I love the fact that she was able to out smart Clark like that. I don't know if you've ever watched the tv series of "Smallville". You probably have seen it but if you haven't then I would highly recommend watching it.
I grew up watching the Richard Lester version of Superman 2 and I'm probably in the minority that it's still a great film. The unfortunate series of events that screwed Donner out of the director's seat to complete the second film stemmed from his bad relationship with the film's producers. The Donner cut was put together using unused scenes, rehearsal footage and temp pre-effects shots and it feels goofy in tone. I love the opening sequence of the Lester cut where Lois gets involved with terrorists threatening to blow up the Effel Tower with a hydrogen bomb. The Donner cut spends too much time with Luthor in the Fortress of Solitude but does have an extended version of the Kryptonians attacking the White House.
When Superman fought the 3 villains he only had half of his normal strength, which his father gave him. When he went back into the molecular chamber for the 2nd time, he Superman restored his own full power while zapping the 3 villains of their powers at the same time.
So glad to hear that you will continue with the other two Christopher Reeve films. I would absolutely agree that they are not quite as good as Superman I or II. Still, both movies have really good parts in my opinion. In fact, I actually like Superman IV quite a bit despite its technical issues. In case anyone else hasn’t pointed this out, Superman Returns is part of this continuity. Brandon Routh is playing the same incarnation of Superman as Christopher was. Returns is meant to take place between Superman II (theatrical cut) and Superman III. Hope that helps!
I remember seeing Sarah Douglas (Ursa) on TV at the time II released, she really enjoyed making the movie, got SO into character and felt so "super" that when she lifted the bus in Metropolis, she actually took too much of the weight of it while the crane was hoisting it, and pulled all her back and shoulder muscles 😅 I haven't seen this cut of Superman II, I think I shall go watch it having seen you watch it! 📽️🎞️
Great reaction! I saw the original Superman films in the theater as a small child, and I'm still in awe of Christopher Reeve's performances. He is definitely MY Superman. The "Superman and Lois" television show is the spiritual successor of the Reeve films. The creators really get it right tonally, and they explore some great themes that the films miss out on.
Christopher Reeve is my Superman as well. If you want to see him in another Sci Fi romance, watch " Somewhere in Time" . He made it the same year he made Superman 2
yeah not a fan of this version, I know the time travel was meant to have been in this one from the beginning but having used it once already on the first film makes it just seem comical here. Like every film or show of Superman could just end with the time travel. Still some great scenes in this one but I far, far prefer the theatrical cut.
The rewinding time thing was meant for this time. It only happened in the first movie because Richard Donner was fired, and he wanted to go with a bang at the end of the first movie. This ending was never supposed to be then. It only happened here, in the original script.
Loved Your Reaction 🥰 and 110% Yes 🦸🏻♂️ Christopher Reeve Is the Perfect Superman/Clark Kent R.I.P mate 🙏😔 Thank You for the Chat in 1991 Superman 🥹 You Changed My Life for the Better. Cracking reaction as per usual, loving seeing them again with fresh eyes.Return of the Swamp Thing is well worth a look if only for one of the better opening credits in a comic book movie.
While Zod DID make an eventual appearance at some point in a DCAU related comic, the episode you saw with Mala in S:TAS basically WAS the closest to an interpretation of this Kryptonian criminal trio for a long while.
If you want to watch some more superman and Lois in live action I recommend the Lois and Clark tv series, Smallville, and superman and Lois, all are great interpretations.
I don't know if someone already mentioned this in the comments: Superman I & II were being filmed back-to-back by Richard Donnor and the original ending for the first film was supposed to be a cliffhanger where the Missile Supes threw into space freeing Zod & Company. This would take place after Superman saved all of California and Lois from the earthquake caused by the other missile; I'm guessing Lois didn't originally die in that version. The Time Travel segment we see here was the original intended ending of Superman II. However, due to squabbles with the film's producers and in order to make the release date, the ending of Superman I was reworked to have the Time Travel ending to save Lois. Donnor was then fired by the producers and Richard Lester was brought on to film a good chunk of new scenes from a new rewrite of the script mixed with the footage that Donnor shot. If you look at the theatrical release of Superman II, you can spot the scenes Donnor shot and what Lester did by looking at how Margot Kidder looks throughout the film. In Donnor's scenes, she looks really healthy like she does in the Donnor cut. Whereas in Lester's material she does not look very healthy. Another giveaway is any scene you see Gene Hackman's face, that was done by Donnor. Hackman refused to work on any material for Lester out of protest to the producer's treatment of Donnor. So, a stand-in was used wherever you couldn't see Lex Luthor clearly in the film.
The film Blasts From The Past was based off of. It feels like it stuck more in the cultural lexicon, inventing the phrase 'kneel before Zod' and introducing many to the concept of the Phantom Zone and its dangerous criminals.
This scene starting at 17:25 in the Honeymoon Suite was NOT in the original movie. This was not how he was revealed. I'm so confused. What is this???? What happened to the scene when he fell and his hand fell into the fireplace and Lois looked at it, and he wasn't burned at all. That's how she discovered he was Superman.
As mentioned a few times in the video, this is the "Donner cut" of Superman II (Richard Donner - who directed the first movie - was replaced partway through making the second movie by Richard Lester, who completed the theatrical cut. Then years later, around the time 'Superman Returns' came out, this cut of Superman II was released which is as close to how Donner originally intended the movie to be, allowing for the fact that some scenes are taken from rehearsals, screentests etc. - the "time reversal ending" repeats for instance because that was originally intended for the end of the _second_ movie).
I think the reason why Clark reacted as superman when Lois pulled the trigger is because bullet heads are incased with lead. Meaning all bullets to him look like they’re blanks. And he would not have known if he had been shot or not
I have mixed feelings about the Donner Cut. I'm glad they were able to piece together something that sort of resembled what was originally intended. But unfortunately, it's still an unfinished movie, since Donner wasn't able to shoot everything that he wanted to. And also, they probably would have rewritten and reshot parts of it after they had to end the first film the way they did. Still, it's an interesting window into an alternate timeline. :) The original theatrical version has its issues, but it is the movie the world knew as Superman II for 25 years before the Donner Cut came out, so it's worth checking out if you get a chance.
Yeah I’ve seen the Donner cut many times and enjoy a lot about it. However, I first saw Superman II on the big screen back in 1981. I was 6 years. Blew my damn mind! So yeah, I have very fond memories of the theatrical cut of Superman II. 🕺😎❤️
Kryptonian Sunstone construction crystal regenerates... that's why Luthor was able to raid the Fortress and steal several of the crystals years later in Superman Returns.
this superman is my favorite too. man is it campy. it also that you end the movie fealing good. that something we do not do. A hopeful superman, you could see your self being really inspired by this person. superman 2024
Thanks for the reaction! I like the other version of this movie better, in which the first scenes unfold on the Eiffel Tower and the finale is done differently. In my opinion, it is more logical and beautiful. If you have time, take a look, I recommend it. P.S. Christopher Reeve is the best!
The whole, "You can't love one of them and protect all of them" trope, has been a thing with superhero fictions since... Well, really since this movie, I think. It happens in Spider-Man 2, versions of it happen in other superhero movies and cartoons and comics, but ultimately, the conclusion is always that, "Um, actually, yeah-- yeah you can love one of them and protect all of them, turns out. My bad, jk." In the comics, Lois and Clark fall in love, get married, become parents, and live happily ever after, as it should be. *Edit* Some great Superman stories to check out, if you haven't, is Superman: Last Son, Convergence: Superman, and its follow-up, Superman: Lois and Clark. Also, not to sound like a crappy broken record, but the 10 year anniversary of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is next month! Which would be a fantastic time to jump on to the series! If you enjoy shows like Fringe, X-Files, Supernatural, and the MCU in general, I think you'll love Agents of SHIELD! Enjoy!
Someone else probably posted about this. Richard Donner filmed the first and almost all of the second. The time reversal was intended to be at the end of this one. The first one would have ended in a cliffhanger with the other missile striking and freeing the villains. The producers replaced Donner with another director who had to move the time reversal to the first film and technically earn the title of director by adding extra scenes to this film.
Superman returns starring Brandon Routh is a very underrated homage to these 2 original superman movies as well as a continuation of the story from the end of superman 2. You can tell a lot of care was taken to cast the characters correctly although Lois is a bit of a departure from how Margot Kidder portrayed Lois, I really liked how Kate Bosworth played her character more as there was less hamminess. In my opinion Superman returns gets a lot of unfair criticism as it falls in line with these 2 superman movies and nobody really had a bad word to say about them. Maybe the 19 year wait for a new superman movie was so long that fans had already moved on from the Christopher Reeve era. The comics had progressed and created excellent stories to build and re-invent the character of Superman in those 19 years and so when everyone heard there was a new superman movie, maybe their expectations had changed. Either way please give it a fair shot and check it out for yourself after you've watched superman 3 and 4.
So happy you liked part 2! I've never seen the DONNOR directors cut, so it was kinda new for me also cause there's so much difference in this version, specifically since Jor-el ( MARLON BRANDO ) is 100% NOT in the regular version. Instead, his mom communicates with him. Also, the Niagara Falls scenes are very different too wow. I'm glad you are gonna watch part 3 and 4 cause pretty much no one watches in on RUclips reactions so it should be fun ( just be prepared cause there's a significant drop in quality story telling in part 3 and more-so in part 4 lol). Thanks and keep smiling👍🙂
You said why would Ursa rip the patch off the astronaut's space suit and then kick him away???? Because she's AN EVIL VILLAIN. Why would she be nice??? That's not part of a villain's character.
I always interpreted Clark destroying the Fortress of Solitude to be more about that he’d been torn between the Earth and what was left of Krypton, but with the loss of his father’s computer self and the evil Kryptonians, that Clark saw there was nothing left for him there. That Lois and the Earth were what he wanted to center his life around. He was ready to really live among everyone.
Zod has great one liners. 16:59- Don't go too far Zod. I see what you did there. 21:36- Don't help his ego, lady. 27:30- You need to calm down, Zod. 28:20- Aaaand you've gone too far.
Please tell me that somebody has recommended that she read the Comic; "Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow?" Especially now that she has seen all of the best Superman movies.
Smallville was a great show. Wasn't known for his comedy chops but Gene Hackman was great as Lex Luther. For a different take on the story watch Brightburn, if you haven't seen it already.

Now that Superman has rewound time, the events of this movie can happen again, but slightly different and hopefully he learns to not mess with time again.
My favorite one. But I grew up with the Richard Lester cut. I just ordered it in 4k. My favorite superhero ever and movie. When you watch the other cut I will definitely be watching that with you.
Ah, you're watching the richard donner cut. He was replaced by Richard Lester halfway through & the scene where she finds out he's Superman is completely different
I hope you react to Superman 3. Not many have reacted to it. Superman 3 does contain the first black nerd in a movie: Richard Prior as computer genius Gus Gorman.
The reason there was a lot of discontinuity between shots in certain scenes, like Clark Kent's hair suddenly changing. Is because the version you watched is not the official theatrical cut. This version is cobbled together using shots from rehearsals and other alternate footage of takes, before the director was fired and replaced with the one who shot the Theatrical version most of us grew up with.
Tbh of actors that played Superman. Tyler’s performance is closest to living up to Christopher Reeve’s Clark/Superman in modern times. Basically the best Superman of our generation.
I really enjoyed your reaction. I really hope you post your reaction to Superman 3, it's not as bad as they say. I'm a huge fan of all four films myself.
Christopher Reeve is My most favorite Superman and there been others I've enjoyed that has portrayed Superman/clark kent like Tim daly voicing Him in the animated series ,Tom Welling in Smallville ,Brandon ruth in 2006 Superman returns /arrowverse Henry cavil snyder movies and Tyler Hoechlin Superman and Lois show
See, now if I had been the coach in this situation, I would’ve totally had you watch and react to the theatrical version first. Then you could’ve easily reacted to the Donner Cut also because all of our jaws dropped to the floor when we first saw it. However we also all had the benefit of knowing a much more “completed” version of the film going into to it.
I highly recommend 2021 superman and lois (tyler hoechlyn and elizabeth tullock). The premise is that they both lose their jobs on the planet and must move to Smallville, here they are already married and have teenage children, one of them has a depressive disorder. So they have to deal with family conflicts and at the same time balance that with their work responsibilities, and defeat the villain of course. It also masterfully portrays what it feels like to be Superman and have to have this patience and super balanced emotions to not scare people, help people of all cultures, we see Superman put limits on the government, be a firm but also loving father, Being a hero who defends the classic values of Superman but also commanding respect and getting serious and more interesting things. The writing is really fantastic and develops Superman on totally different levels as a superhero, father, husband, and fundamentally with the complexity of a real person. I think is the ultimate superman show.

Wtf, I have never seen this version before where she shoots him. Also at that range blanks can kill you. Edit: the ending is different too, the one I saw he never rewound time.
Marha Kent (his earth mother (originally called Sarah in the George Reeves tv series and in the first film weekly serial (shown during matinees at theaters back in the day and starring Kirk Alyn as Superman) but the question always was how??? It couldn't be pierced by bullets, knives and not even acids could harm it. That is NOT how Christopher Revve got his suit. The newer suits made sense. But they ae not as cool, I agree.
I commented on your Sup #1, but I will say, I agree with you. Reeve's - best Superman to date! This, of course, is coming from a 59 year old dude. However, I won't say he will be the best ever because.....I thought the same thing with James Bond. I said several years ago that Sean Connery is the best James Bond ever -- Until Daniel Craig came around. That dude nailed it. I'll prove this point further. After the wife and I went to see Daniel Craig as James Bond in Casino Royale, we were both so smitten with his performance. So much so that I thanked Daneil Craig later that night - I had bruise's for days - snuff said. Thanks for the reaction. Loved it.

Yeah, the ending of this cut is unfortunate... Superman turning back time was the original ending of 2, because Part 1 originally ended on a cliffhanger.
I loved the background chasracter "Such a nice man, of course he's Jewish!"
The Lego DC Superheroes games are part of that reason for me.
This cut is way more different than I remember, looks more related to comics than I thought
I hope Superman Returns gets a viewing sometime in the future! :)
Yep and it takes almost an hour for Supes to show up in the Donner cut.
The late Margot Kidder played Lois Lane. Brandon Routh played Superman in SUPERMAN RETURNS.
I remember seeing Sarah Douglas (Ursa) on TV at the time II released, she really enjoyed making the movie, got SO into character and felt so "super" that when she lifted the bus in Metropolis, she actually took too much of the weight of it while the crane was hoisting it, and pulled all her back and shoulder muscles 😅
I haven't seen this cut of Superman II, I think I shall go watch it having seen you watch it! 📽️🎞️
3 and 4 arent super terrible they are worth atleast one watch
The first Superman movie you watched was from 1978. Cool hair color.
This is not the version i grew up with. this not the original version
Superman 1, 2, 3 and 4 Are Chris's Movies, Superman Returns is Brandon Roth, a Storyline In between Superman 2 and 3 Supposedly
LOL - Great video! Love your reactions!!
Upvote for Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman!
I’m glad you reacted to Superman 2: Richard Donner cut.
Check out Christopher Reeve in Somewhere in Time (1980). With Jane Seymour, It's a romantic fantasy/ time traveling movie.
When you said this Superman is your Superman… I knew you were my kind of girl! I agree he’s perfect in this role.
The original theatrical version has its issues, but it is the movie the world knew as Superman II for 25 years before the Donner Cut came out, so it's worth checking out if you get a chance.
Yeah superman need to learn how to fight. That's how batman beat him on same fight level. It best to watch all the movies no matter what others think
this superman is my favorite too. man is it campy. it also that you end the movie fealing good. that something we do not do. A hopeful superman, you could see your self being really inspired by this person. superman 2024
"Why do I keep repeating myself?" "Ah, Meg is fucking around again"
Thanks for the reaction! I like the other version of this movie better, in which the first scenes unfold on the Eiffel Tower and the finale is done differently. In my opinion, it is more logical and beautiful. If you have time, take a look, I recommend it.
P.S. Christopher Reeve is the best!
I’m with you. I think the theatrical cut is better. But I appreciate the Donner cut as an alternative.
My bad, jk."
In the comics, Lois and Clark fall in love, get married, become parents, and live happily ever after, as it should be.
*Edit*
Some great Superman stories to check out, if you haven't, is Superman: Last Son, Convergence: Superman, and its follow-up, Superman: Lois and Clark.
If you pause at 28:30 as they drive towards the cafe, in front of the car the man walking is director Richard Donner
The biggest thing is Superman holds back Like the speech Superman gives Darkseid in justice league " i feel like i live in a world made of cardboard."
Either way please give it a fair shot and check it out for yourself after you've watched superman 3 and 4.
honestly both cuts were amazing.
If people havent already recomended it I suggest you check out Somewhere In Time Christopher Reeves other movie that came out in 1980.
When are you going to watch Superman 3? The film is vastly underrated!
Superman 2 is on my top 3 most watched movies in my last 22 years
Never regret it 💙💛❤️
Love your channel girl 💖
You said why would Ursa rip the patch off the astronaut's space suit and then kick him away???? Because she's AN EVIL VILLAIN. Why would she be nice??? That's not part of a villain's character.
Christopher Reeve was excellent in a movie called "Noises Off". It's a very clever comedy movie!
In the comics, Superman and Lois have a son name Jonathan Samuel Kent the new Superboy.
It was two separate screen tests. One was Reeve's and the other was Kidder's.
Please tell me that somebody has recommended that she read the Comic;
"Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow?"
Especially now that she has seen all of the best Superman movies.
Smallville was a great show. Wasn't known for his comedy chops but Gene Hackman was great as Lex Luther. For a different take on the story watch Brightburn, if you haven't seen it already.
Superman Returns is a modern sequel with new actors, but does follow the first two movies.
Hello Meg and welcome to the Planet Huston 😂Well Superman with Christopher Reeve and Batman with Adam West were my Childhood and these two will always be my favorite Heroes. Thanks for looking and Thanks for uploading. Have a nice Evening/Day and lovely Greetings to you and your loved ones 🥰🥰
I remember everyone at the time saying the exact same thing about the casting. It was perfection, and yeah, Christopher Reeve WAS SUPERMAN.
Another DC movie people forget is Swamp Thing (1982)
I think superman looked nervous when he was about to get his get back. He was probably scared of accidentally hurting the guy
Now that Superman has rewound time, the events of this movie can happen again, but slightly different and hopefully he learns to not mess with time again.
Watch the Superman II 1980 theatrical cut to compare to this Donner Cut
My favorite one. But I grew up with the Richard Lester cut. I just ordered it in 4k. My favorite superhero ever and movie. When you watch the other cut I will definitely be watching that with you.
Hi Meg hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
I didn't hear you mention the Superman TV show from the 50's, starring George Reeves. It's actually really good.
@@Xehanort10 100%. Also is crazy that George Newbern and Tyler Hoechlin are both Superman and Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy 7 franchise.
I really enjoyed your reaction. I really hope you post your reaction to Superman 3, it's not as bad as they say. I'm a huge fan of all four films myself.
3 & 4 are wachable
Christopher Reeve is My most favorite Superman and there been others I've enjoyed that has portrayed Superman/clark kent like Tim daly voicing Him in the animated series ,Tom Welling in Smallville ,Brandon ruth in 2006 Superman returns /arrowverse Henry cavil snyder movies and Tyler Hoechlin Superman and Lois show
You're watching the version that we didn't see in the theater.
Christopher Reeve appears as Superman in "The Flash" {2023} along with Supergirl {1984} film actress, in a CGI scene.
What are you doing to me, Meg?!
What
Are
You
Doing?
You know I have to work, right? You know I have to get up early. It’s 1:15 AM and I just finished your *Superman* reaction video. Now, I’m on to *Superman II* . I just cannot stop because I’m having too much fun!
Honestly, your videos are so addictive and so sweet. All jokes aside, I am very grateful to have found you and Caleb. You are so much fun and it feels like I am watching these movies with my new friends. It’s a pity we can’t know each other in real life. I think we would, indeed, be friends.
Thank you both for sharing your new experiences with all of us. It really is special to me. 😊
This is one of the nicest things I've ever read 😭 thank you so so much!!! We're so glad you're here on the channel with us 😊
@MegMageReacts meg when will you make video for superman iii??
This version was a little silly. You’re right, can’t make always reverse time.
Didn’t do this in the theater release.
Loved it.
