I am happy to report that hours after breaking this story it has been confirmed the Federal Sports Minister, Anika Wells, will be contacting the boxers regarding their concerns. It won't solve the issues they have, but it is a very good first step.
A bit of underhanded snark against Charlie from Boxing Australia - at the Australian Championships being held right now, the ring announcer speaks of two active Olympic medalists in boxing, including Harry Garside at Tokyo 2020 and Caitlin Parker at Paris 2024. But Charlie won bronze in Paris, and isn't mentioned at all at the event! The pettiness is mind boggling.
