What do you think, are those coaster footers in Monsters land, or just architectural elements for the courtyard?
I cannot say that I am at all happy, would have preferred the Theater - NOT a Coaster I cannot ride, this is looking worse all the time now, I'm not as keen as on this as I once was.

I'd hope it's for architectural elements because I want it to look like the village from Frankenstein, not a theme-parkified one. If it's enclosed and the facade looks like cottages then I'd prefer that if they do go for the coaster route.

Hearing about potential budget increases for the Monsters dark ride is VERY exciting. Not used to that after hearing all about the budget cuts at Disney

I'm so used to Disney canceling or scaling back rides/lands/announcements, so its so refreshing and surprising to see Universal sticking mostly to their original plan and even adding on to it with additional rides. I am so excited to see the final product!
Always love your updates. With this amount of change so rapidly it seems so easy that they could have all this ready way earlier than 2025. They seem to be working much quicker than anything Disney has done in the last 6 years.

I think they really want to make sure they have the major headliners up and running *reliably* before they open. This way Disney doesn't have a chance to take low blows at them like with Hagrid's.
@@AmusementLabs Chapek took a shot at Hagrids, only for Rise of the Resistance to open and have just as many, if not more, problems than Hagrids did at opening.
They can throw all the low blows they want still doesn't fix the Yeti problem they have. I'll be happy to see this true competition bring some really great things for all of us to enjoy. And yeah RotR is great but already needs a long overhaul to address the extended down times it gets every single day.
There's no way. There's so much work to be done. Think about the infrastructure too. parking ramps, roads, hotels. A lot of this hasn't even begun. we are definitely 3 years out.
They’re moving much quicker than I expected. Can’t wait to get back down to Florida in a few weeks and check the progress in person
Well its not easy to see much of anything other than a crap load of cranes and upper portion of the steel. Universal has done a decent job of hiding what's being built. You can see some stuff off Sand Lake Rd but there isn't a lot to be seen, especially once they finish building the back of house buildings which are massive.

Right? And it took Disney years just to build a clone of Tron. And they're not even done yet.
@@CaptNeeda1 which is really weird because they started building guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind around the same time but stopped construction for tron due to Covid but not guardians
After losing the Monsters Cafe, this warms my heart to see Universal pushing an actual land. This is a great location to showcase their yearly HHN.

@@sideeswipe it was his brothers account. He pretty much had to. But I do feel like DSNY may have to/should do what WDW News Today does and have a separate channel where Jack, himself, discusses Universal related things, especially since DSNY has started becoming more and more Orlando centric, versus global. Though this may all change during D23.
Then again, he may just not have enough time on his hands to run a second channel, especially since he gave up on his vlog specific channel years ago, and also moved from a three day a week upload, to two, and now whenever. Hopefully DSNY doesn’t end up like RobPlays/Midway to Main Street, in that he puts out really great content, but they may be months apart.
A budget INCREASE?! My excitement for this park went from a 10 to an 11! Cannot wait until this opens in late 2024/mid 2025!

Its incredible to see a new theme park being built in todays world with all the social media and such available to dissect! I love watching the construction updates.
To be honest, I think the project has a bit more pep in the step than usual seeing how they lost 2 years. the cherry on top of it all, is that it's given 2 years of really thinking it out and not making rushed designs in turn affecting the final product. I'm hyped
In the space of time that Disney takes to build just 1 Tron roller coaster (copy and pasted from another park), Universal go ahead and build an entirely new theme park with resort hotels to match.
A Kuka Arm on a rollercoaster track actually makes a lot of sense for a Monsters ride, because it would make you feel like you are flying or running at speed alongside the characters, with the wind hitting your face.
Can't wait to start getting official information about this project! Although the park will probably already be open by the time Universal gives any details. But until then, I'm super hyped to see you post these videos. If you guys haven't followed Theme Park Stop on Patreon, it's definitely worth it!

So awesome how much has changed since the last update. This is super exciting to watch build from nothing and I can't wait to experience the park. Glad to hear there is budget increases and they seem to really be putting a lot of effort into this park. It'll be pretty incredible to have so many immersive themed areas on one park, so much better than a single ride themed to one thing sitting right next to a ride from something totally separate.

I think it would be super cool if they had a section that recreated the Wesley house and people got walk through it and explore it. It’s so magical and it can have a lot of practical effects.
i absolutely cannot wait for epic universe to open, sure it's in like 3 years, but it'll be here before we all know it, i will definitely be flying down to visit

I’m so excited for Monsters Universe Land! Everytime you show us updates get more excited each time. Hopefully 🙏 Creature From The Black lagoon is still happening for the boat ride.
That boat ride would be a dream come true! And almost a spiritual successor to the Jaws ride!
@@candycorncrypt Yes! I think it would be very neat if they have the creature character portrayed by a human actor. Imagine how scary it would be if the monster jumped on our boat from under the water. And think it would be neat if monster universe land has different monsters at each section maybe someone as Quasimodo ringing the church bells 🔔 when guests are walking.
I was already excited and impressed by this parks ambition, but now that I'm hearing the Classic Monsters land is getting even more investment, this shows how serious Universal is in making this park take people away from Disney.
And yet all we get from Disney is a very slow progress on Tron and a re theme on splash mountain! Shambles from disney really!

Not been much great news around the World of late but this is very exciting, a great update thankyou.
Glad to see the coaster element may be coming back to the Monsters ride! When we figured out we were getting a retheme of Forbidden Journey with more physical set pieces, it kinda led me to lower my expectations and treat the ride like Transformers to Spiderman. Monsters definitely deserves a unique twist to its E-Ticket
I really don’t get the hate for Transformers? Totally different than Spiderman, totally unique, awesome ride. Problem is none of us care about Transformers but as a ride it is incredible and better than anticipated.
@@EpicLemonMusic Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy riding transformers! But when it was being built, I wasn’t excited for it because it was essentially the same ride system as Spider-Man, just with some different elements. And for monsters, it’s such a hyped up property for Epic Universe, I’d like to see us get something unique, like how we got something completely unique when Gringotts was built. The anticipation was very high because nobody saw the ride system at Universal yet

Yes and no. No because Disney is still going to have 1 park more than Universal. Yes because Universal has contracts with Warner Bros. We could potentially see DC and who knows, maybe Looney Tunes might return

Construction has been moving so quickly in the past couple months it seems like. I live very close to the future entrance to the park and it is so exciting seeing the buildings starting to go up!
As a Disney park fan, I've actually been to Universal multiple times but the one in LA, but I am looking forward to Epic Universe and would love to ride more Roller Coasters

Disney is such a joke these days.
Except that in that 3 year period, Disney built and implemented 4 new rides...one of which is the most technologically advanced attractions ever attempted. Universal is an awesome park but stans tend to overblow it. Hagrid's coaster was the first new ride at Universal in many years.
All of the rides look .. well ... epic! It looks like there will be a tremendous amount of variety between the attractions as well as the lands themselves.
Wondering when they’ll officially reveal more of the themed worlds; personally feel like Monsters is the next in line for reveal and thought it would be noted last year in a public announcement or even through the Bride Lives house as kind of a ‘cameo’ detail in the background.
Here’s hoping during this year’s HHN they tie the Monsters Land reveal in somehow, feels like the perfect cross promotion

In addition to all of the amazing rides already likely being built, I keep hoping for a thrilling flume ride to eventually join the attraction line up (for no other reason than I love water rides and think it would round out the currently expected attraction line up). Maybe an add on to the Monsters land, as people have rumored, or even a Zelda themed flume or raft ride expansion on Nintendo eventually…
You know what, you make a good point here! There isnt any water rides (yet) confirmed for this theme park! Strange for Orlando especially with the heat there! Would love another Rapids ride like Popeye

I don't know how Disney can't be concerned by the huge expansions happening in Universal. So much of the Disney parks will begin to feel out of date.

I’m curious how ticketing would be once it opens. Daily, Park-to-park, annual passes (2,3,4 park, park-hopper). At one point I heard the lands would be separately ticketed.

i’m most excited for the universal monsters land. i feel like the theming is going to be so unique for a park land and will kind of marry horror nights with hogsmeade in islands of adventure.

I hope monsters cafe is back. Also, I would like to see a monorail system to transport folks from Universal to Epic.
Or maybe a skyliner type thing! Could be a lot cheaper and easier to build. But ya I’d love to see some type of transportation besides a bus or car.
Thats the only thing universal lacks is transport! Yeah they have the Hogwarts express which is great but something to connect the parks to Epic Universe would be great! As much as Disney has nailed the Skyliner, I agree they should build something like this. However it would have to go through alot of Built up areas such as Universal Bld and potentially Idrive which i dont think thell be able to do or even get the permission to do, unless they add a stop in Idrive???? I wonder how the new rail which is ment to be going through to Tampa will fit in near to this?
Any timeshare being built or residential property in universal be cool plus additional theme parks or additions to epic adventure in the future
