@@russmacc316 We discussed it in the recent podcast on the channel, near the start of the episode. They are building dedicated bus lanes to connect the parks and will offer free shuttles between the new areas and existing resort.

I cannot stress how much I'm looking forward to Dark Universe. I'm so used to corporate cynicism when it comes to pandering to their audiences, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how much love Universal seems to be putting into this section of the park. Incorporating Maleva into the Wolf Man coaster, referencing the DeLacey family in the restaurant, all of it sounds like a Monster fan's dream.
I feel the same way. The attention to detail from the classic films is so refreshing to see!!
I hope there are some Easter eggs of the less popular Universal horror films too. Maybe a couple tattered circus posters boasting “Cheela the Gorilla” or “Dynamo Dan the Electrical Man”.
Yes this area looks like it is going to be amazing.
It looks like they are paying close attention to every aspect of each land. I think Universal does a great job with that. Like Hogsmeade & the castle they are modeled after some actual places they went & studied & replicated.
We stay at Portofino Bay when there & it looks so much like the one in Italy, the only difference is in Italy there are more boats in the bay since it’s a actual working area & mountains behind the town, no mountains in Orlando but it still looks really like the real place.
Can’t wait for Epic to open I think we will all be amazed at what they have done in really a very short time.
An indoor boat ride featuring The Creature from the Black lagoon????? Are you kidding me? That is freaking awesome. This monsters land is going to be a bigger hit than Universal probably realizes

I still can’t believe we are a year away. It is going to be such an emotional experience going in for the first time. Thank you for everything Alicia! I do have one fear for the park. When studios opened, nothing worked. When islands opened, nobody went. When volcano bay opened it wasn’t finished. What is going to happen with epic???? Will the Universal Orlando opening curse finally be lifted?
I would say look to their more recent openings over in Asia. Really positive reports in recent yrs. The issue with VB was tapu tapu. It took a while to work out the kinks and many just did not know how to use it. Now it's great & works well the majority of the time.
How long did it take Volcano Bay to fully work? To know what to expect with this park and how much I have to wait to book a reservation
@@Linkmik90 Fully work... not sure. We went in the 1st yr, within a few months and it worked for us as intended, except for payment processing. I still randomly have issues with that. BTW, I have heard the facial recognition is working well during the trials in place. The biggest issue I think will surface, will be crowd mgmnt, which will include getting on site guests to and from the other parks. I hope they buy enough buses.
@@LChatmanFLwe went over Halloween (not long after they started using the facial recognition system) and it worked great-I think it’s actually faster than the fingerprint scanner. I’ve seen a couple of complaints about it in some FB groups and for the life of me I don’t understand why.
@@schues317 Well that's good news. Does it work if you're wearing sunglasses, hats etc. ? Also, does this mean they can link the face to a valid passholder and there we will no longer need to scan an AP card, so we can just walk in (making rope drop much easier)? Lastly, will they have a separate line for actual date based ticket holders? I am assume they will not be using facial recognition since they may only be one time guests. That would be awesome as well. It's tough thinking your line is moving along and then you realize the family of 5 in front is having ticket issues and line comes to a screeching halt. That's when I really need Jesus!!
I’m a massive How to Train Your Dragon fan and I’m beyond excited to feast my eyes on this world they are creating. Using the Toothless symbol from Hiccup’s shield and armor for the tower made me very happy. The statues look like they took them straight out of the movie. Plus all the other worlds look incredible too.
The people building this are killing it. The site manager must be a beast! Putting in 100 hour weeks

Right?! In probably just a little more time than it took Disney to build ONE rollercoaster in MK (a copycat from one they already had!) and a walk-through exhibit and glorified planter box area in EPCOT, universal is building a whole state of the art theme park from scratch (other than the Nintendo area) and 3 hotels!
Disney is a disgrace, there to busy figuring out what there going to take away next 👍👍

I have never been more pleased to work for Uni. This is 1 fantastic update. I had to say bye to a couple of TM friends today that's heading to the South Campus (Epic). 😢 Gonna miss them, and I wish them all the best bringing the South Campus to life next year.
I’ve never clicked on a video so fast! So surreal to be able to say that this is opening NEXT year, only another 7 or so years for Universal Great Britain (fingers crossed no delays!)

Gotta give it to Universal this park is looking to be absolutely incredible. They are gonna set a whole new standard to themed lands at theme parks. Love the entry portals and honestly at first Universal Monsters was the only land i was really looking forward to, but now im stoked for everything! Keep up these amazing videos.

Meanwhile at Alton Towers, they can't build a single, small, show building because a bit of it's roof might be visible in winter when the trees are bare, to some of the 1000 population village nearby. So they have to lower the roofline and compromise the ride.
Imagine if the american parks had to deal with this level of bureaucracy for every single thing
Disneyland California absolutely has to deal with those kinds of restrictions. There are residential homes just on the other side of Disneyland California, so there are noise restrictions. Universal Studios Hollywood is also having to install sound barriers on its new Fast & Furious roller coaster. Phantasialand in Germany has even stricter regulations to follow, but unlike other parks, it actually manages to turn these restrictions into strengths.
@@kentslocum i was criticising my country in how poorly we manage these things, it's hilarious how amazing Phantasialand is despite having the greatest restrictions of all
@@chrisogrady28 Most parks are like, "we can't build really tall, really loud rides right next to a residential building? Then I guess we can't do anything!", while Phantasialand is like, "We'll put the roller coaster underground and give it an extra launch and hyper-theme everything so no one notices that it's not super tall!"

I was down in Florida for Christmas and did a drive by. WOW, it's also very impressive even from the roadway! Loved the mirrored cladding on the hotel, so much better in person. Thanks for the update and Happy New Year!
I remember looking at constructioon updates like 4 years ago. It is crazy how far this has come.
I work on the top floor of an office building just across from Epic Universe, so I get to see progress every day. While I'm near retirement age, I'm tempted to work through opening date just to watch fireworks from my office.

I love the theme around Dark Universe area, but especially the HTTYD area. The bridge area looks cool, but I can imagine much more restricted fencing when complete, because of the water area and we all know some guests will find a way to jump into that water to retrieve a phone or hat. 😆 🤣
So excited for this project, but honestly, i really enjoy the update videos almost more than the progress itself

If it wasn’t for COVID, it would’ve opened this year no doubt! Great updates, the wand upgrades had my mind blown!!! My kids have interactive wands now I will get one myself! I’m excited for the updates for this year holy smokes they are flying.
It probably wouldn’t. They would have moved at same pace because the point they were at it was all initial stages which would have been the same amount of people working as they had. Epic wasn’t impacted by employee shutdowns as they could operate the same amount of people that they needed for those initial stages. Was gonna take 5 years to build a massive park no matter what
@@camhesse1 we had a bad hurricane as well that impacted the pace…a lot of factors in Florida that’s for sure.
Stayed at the double tree across from universal and you could see the construction of epic universe from our window. Very cool!
When I met up with my family for the holidays I was genuinely amazed to see how much my niece Aria has grown. We’re already planning a trip to Orlando for Epic Universe in late 2025-early 2026 and I can’t wait to see if Aria will be tall/brave enough to ride Starfall Racers with the rest of us (she’ll be 9 then).

From looking at the way it has a wiring harness attached, I bet that the end of that wand will feature a beautiful spell lighting feature! Those portals are all incredible

It's so weird to say "I am excited for the Hub", but I am!!! and the other lands as well. There's just gotta be a great patisserie/confiserie in the Paris land. We don't need another Honeydukes or sweetshop. It looks too tight to have outdoor cafes ,but they too would be awesome. I honestly care more about it being about Paris than anything in Fantastic Beasts.

How amazing is the photo gonna be of a bolt of lightning hitting the Wizarding World beacon wand?
I know we’re happy for “EPIC” but I hope IOA and USF both get new lands both opening in 2026 to keep the crowds spread out between the three parks….
Universal needs a VR coaster or dark ride that can swap out film/theming seasonally..like what they have in Japan. They could literally just port all of the 4d ride movies they have in Japan over to orlando and it would draw in massive crowds. They have the space for it in the fear factor section and it would be cheaper since it would be a copy of Japans version..plus for HHN they could swap out the film for a horror experience instead and make it unique.

I love the idea of the flying dragons. I just wondered if it would have been more practical for them to projection screens so that way the dragons can really fly all over even closer to the guests. I'm guessing that would also be more cost-effective but hopefully the drones work out in the long run

I wonder if they will have a special TV program showing a construction overview, and a preview of the park as a whole. Remember, Universal did with Diagon Alley and the employee’s children before it opened to the public. 😊
I love taking photos in the parks and it seems like the new Wizarding World section will be so beautiful--with that giant elder wand and Parisian type architecture etc. It's a far departure from what some have named Universal Studios Orlando as the "ugliest" major theme park every created (I still think it looks cool in places, I just close my eyes walking past MIB and Springfield.
MIB is a great ride but Springfield (along with The Simpsons Ride) has got to go in my opinion.
I like Springfield, but I think MIB needs to go.
@@NocturneFexy The Simpson has run it's course. MIB is still really fun to ride. I hope that area gets replaced with a roller coaster or at least a dark roller coaster.
@@a.y.greyson9264 There is a ton of space behind The Simpsons' show building which means that they can make a whole new land with multiple attractions. I'm thinking it would be Pokémon, but we'll just have to wait and see.

That’s what we said in our video revealing the possible Great Britain theme park’s location. Just like major construction started on Epic Universe after Beijing was wrapping up, it seems that Comcast wants to always be building one major theme park somewhere in the world.
@ThemeParkStop I've been watching alot of universal orlando videos to see what uk guests could expect and how it may work it has given great insight into what it may be like obviously with some changes I'm even considering becoming a annual pass holder

I’ve got to be honest, I am really looking forward to this park , however I won’t visit in the first year as a lot of new parks suffer with a lot of teething issues and I don’t want to spoil my immersion. So I’ll go in a year after opening 👍
