    UPDATE: Total acreage for Universal Blvd Land Use (Epic Universe) is around 1,423 with an additional ~735 that includes current US, IOA, Citywalk, Volano Bay, and hotels which gives us a total of around 2,158 acres. This is a massive amount of space reserved for future development & conservation areas (wetlands and water). Check out our other videos for detailed tours of these development areas on our channel!

    Totally agree about the Disney bubble vs Universal. We went to both last year (End of Aug/early Sept) but it had been 5 years since we’d been to Disney (former DVC member here). And it had been even longer since we’d been to Universal. We were SOOO disappointed with Disney compared to what we remembered. You could feel the perks had disappeared. The magic wasn’t the same even in the parks. It felt like our wallets were constantly being cleaned out. The lines were sooooo much longer than they used to be, too. And yea….we waited an hour for a morning bus once!!! We were at Port Orleans, got up early to catch the bus an hour before the park even opened and it never came until the park was already open. To say I was irritated is an understatement. We did Disney week 1, and went to Universal the week after and stayed at Royal Pacific.
    COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. It was easy!!!! Way to get to places. Easy to hop on rides (bc our lightening line passes came with the hotel) it was not a huge chunk out of our day to travel from park to park. It felt like how I remember Disney used to be, except maybe better. As former DVC members, we may have been convinced completely now that we would rather do Universal our next trip, and avoid Disney altogether. Disney is a hassle. Universal is easy. (And cheaper!!!)

      Yes!! 🙌🏼 one time we waited over an hour for a bus at Hollywood Studios laying in the hot sun and eventually another bus from a different hotel had passed us so many times they felt sorry and eventually just stopped and took us to our hotel. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Disney is not worried about Universal. Why? Because Burbank is ARROGANT. Disney used to EARN our love and respect but in recent years, they just "expect" it or they feel they are "entitled" to our love and respect. Their mentality is now: "No worries,....just make whatever and slap the Disney logo on it. Our fans will race after it and gobble it all up". This is a horrible trend in Disney management today. This company will continue to fail until one thing changes.....It's when "humility" sets in. When Disney finally gets sincerely "HUMBLE".....only then will they be able to stop the bleeding and begin returning back to it's past glory. I don't see this happening until Disney hits absolute rock bottom first.

      @@centralfloridagmrs @centralfloridagmrs - "Why" will Disney always be ahead of Universal? It's arrogant for Disney to think that way. No company is bulletproof or indestructable. When Universal hires Disney's best people , what do you think will happen? The creatives that made Disney the best, now use THEIR skill to make another company the best. Disney has made HUNDREDS of extremely bad decisions in the past 5 years that is causing it to fall. Forget it's STRONG competition for a moment. Disney is managing ITSELF strait into the ground...ON IT'S OWN! (Now add powerfull competition on TOP of that problem!!!)

      @@centralfloridagmrs We went to Universal for vacation for years because of Wizarding World and ignored Disney until Galaxy Edge opened because they had gotten stale for so long. Last year, we stayed at Cabana Bay and couldn''t believe what a great time we had because we walked to Volcano Bay in minutes. We took the convenient shuttle buses to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. We didn't have to wait long for the buses. The restaurant at Cabana Bay had great food cafeteria style at great prices. We never left the Universal bubble except once to go shopping. We are going to do it again probably next year when Epic Universe opens.

      I doubt it. It will be big for a few months, but the rides will prove unreliable and lines too long as there are only 11 attractions. In the end, it will only detract from IoA and Studios. Universal is already beginning to cut budgets at those parks and delay projects because they are seeing data that is indicating Epic Universe may not do as well as they had hoped with attendance.
      The operations people are telling the NOT to open early because the rides will not be ready and will fail, but the managers never listen. They have screwed up the park openings for Studios and IoA by not listening and they will do the same here.
      In the end, Super Nintendo World will be amazing while the other lands will be busts. The portals will prove to be a really bad design and people will not be impressed by the light theming on the rides compared to the intricate theming in the lands. The more I see of this park, the less impressed I am. A bunch of off existing coaster designs with light theming coupled with another Forbidden Journey like ride and another Spidey ride with a single added trick. The coaster for Isle of Berk is the same model installed last year in San Diego and Williamsburg from Intamin with different cars and a slightly different layout.
      There will be too many screens, too little detail in the rides, and Universal will be terrible at maintaining it. Comcast is bleeding money right now with Peacock losing over $500M per quarter. I have already heard of tons of cuts expected. Universal's expectations are ridiculous and their lack of spending on their other properties is going to turn Studios and IoA into ghost towns. Epic Universe will prove to be an Epic mistake by Universal and the park will age like cottage cheese left out in the sun. The issue will be a complete lack of immersion. Universal should have invested properly in their current parks first. The market is saturated and they aren't taking anything away from Disney with this - especially with what Disney has coming that will blow it away. Wait until you see what is shown at D23 and what they are starting in the next year. Take a look at Fantasy Springs to just see how far ahead Disney still is. Epic Universe is going to be seen as a massive rip off pretty quickly.

    • @TheNobleWay

      That’s possible but unfortunately Disney has been announcing things for the past year and then not delivering on the majority. They’ve been talking about a magic kingdom expansion and animal kingdom changed for years and then it never happens. So Disney fans are quickly losing confidence in anything they announce at D23 sadly.

    I'm so excited for Dark Universe, but I think people REALLY need to adjust their expectations of the Curse Of The Werewolf coaster. It keeps being repeated that it's a spinning coaster "like Guardians at Epcot", and comparing as such only going to hurt the perception of the ride. Curse Of The Werewolf is a short, family spinning coaster that is meant to act more like Hippogriff in Wizarding World, and by that I mean it's a short family friendly coaster for those who aren't old enough or tall enough for the more intense and scary dark ride. It's not going to be a big E Ticket attraction or thrill ride by any means.

    I have a recommendation for Universal. Make it a seamless transition from one hotel near the original parks, to a hotel near the new parks. A split stay, so that the convenience of proximity is there, during your entire stay.

    • @TheNobleWay
      @TheNobleWay  7 дней назад

      That’s a good idea Heidi - I have a feeling a lot of people will be doing split stays at some point to experience the new hotels but also stay in the hotels they love on the original property! 👌🏼

    I have an additional thought. What If Universal wants to use some of the land for research and development. Universal seems fond of patenting new ideas for attractions. Imagine if they were to build their own manufacturing facilities to create some of these attractions? Then these attractions would be exclusive to Universal properties. This is unlike the current situation where if you purchased a coaster from say intamin or vekoma, you might see that same coaster at four other parks worldwide. There would be a huge advantage to having exclusives and control over manufacturing.

    • @TheNobleWay
      @TheNobleWay  13 дней назад +3

      Could be! We are wondering what sorts of out of the box things they could be doing with that land. Could be other stuff entirely but give the proximity to Epic you definitely have to imagine it’s going to be related in some way.

    • @ottot3221
      @ottot3221 11 дней назад +1

      First of all, working together with expert companies will always result in a better product. Second, Universal has (timed) exclusive rights for certain coaster elements or ride vehicles (like the robot arms in Hogwarts). There is a value in not owning everything, something you can now clearly see from Disney and how they failed to get Potter or Nintendo.

    • @LChatmanFL
      @LChatmanFL 11 дней назад

      @@ottot3221 Your not wrong & neither am I. It comes down to execution. I would not want Universal building their own coasters/attractions unless they could actually deliver the goods.
      Plus I am not suggesting they move EVERYTHING in house.
      There are real world examples of businesses owning more of their own supply chain and benefiting from it.
      Netflix decided to create more of their own content. Amazon decided to take over more of the delivery process. Etc.

    In 2000 there was a guy that said based on Disney management that Universal would over take the theme park game because Disney will have no other choice but to nickel and dime their guests to death while Universal would be slow in building new parks but once they do it will be the downfall of WDW because Disney management will sit on their laurels and not do anything new. Theme Parks are about growth and development of new things and looking back everyone said that guy was insane but look how it's all playing out. Disney hasn't built a new Park since 1999. Just a new crappy ride here or there. Budget cutting great ideas at Epcot and taking 5years to open 1 new ride. (Tron). Universal is building new parks and world wide vastly improving the parks that already exists. Disney just not reparing anything and so many rides are down all the time and it's not worth going anymore.

    Came here to say that there’s one thing all you thrill-ride lovers forget: not everyone is a thrill-ride lover.
    Disney still has one thing that Universal doesn’t try very hard at, and that’s a LOT of rides that non-thrill-ride people and little tiny kids can go on. I went to UO and UIA to see the Harry Potter stuff, and yeah, I was really impressed by those two lands, (and I’ll go once to UEU to see the third one), but my thrill-level tolerance tops out at the drop on Pirates of the Caribbean. I’m not joking. And I know plenty other adults who also can’t handle much more “thrill” than that for various reasons. Me, I’m a chicken *and* prone to debilitating motion sickness. My wife and my best friend both have herniated disc issues that become aggravated on coasters or anything jerky. Another friend of mine has the motion sickness issue. My dad has a bad heart. Basically none of the adults who are close to me can get on most of what Universal Parks have to offer.
    So while yes, I agree with you that Disney has been really dropping the ball and taking away all the perks and “Disney difference” that used to make staying on their property for a whole week worthwhile, and I am definitely disappointed in them, I will continue to take Disney-focused vacations simply because I and my crew can experience so many more attractions at their parks. They’re just way more accessible to *everyone*, not just thrill-seekers. (Unlike when I spend a whole day (and $$$) at a Universal park, where I stand around looking at really cool-looking stuff I can’t ride).
    I have, however, changed my long-held opinion that staying on property was worth the extra expense. We now stay off-property and rent a car, and have still been having a great time doing it.
    Universal will always be an occasional “add-on” day for us, until they (if ever) create a whole lot more accessible, or let’s call them no-height-requirement, attractions.

    • @TheNobleWay
      @TheNobleWay  8 дней назад +1

      Lisa Anne that’s great insight! We keep saying the same thing too and Universal definitely realizes that. They are spending a ton of energy and money to add way more of those family-friendly and non-thrill ride experiences for exactly those reasons because they know they have a deficit. A few examples: adding Minions land with Minion blasters and cafe, reimagining the new Dreamworks land with kid-friendly attractions and shows, updating ET adventure, building Seuess Landing at Islands of Adventure, adding an entire family-friendly water park, and now at Epic Universe: Celestial Carousel, Fyre Drill (water shooter ride), Mario Kart ride, Yoshi’s family ride, Curse of the Werewolf (like Seven dwarfs mine train), and additional shows. This is a ton of stuff they’ve been adding for years. It’s still not the huge number of attractions like Magic Kingdom has but they are definitely working on it! 👍🏼

    My impression after watching all this... Universal is officially out-Disney-ing Disney. Disney seems to be trapped in a "fear of the bottom line" mentality. Passholders (like MYSELF) are getting milked for more and more while being offered less and less. Anticipated projects are being dropped because of... budget. Innovation is being dropped because of ... budget. Prices are skyrocketing because of ... budget.
    Universal on the other hand seems to be saying... "hey. Let's dream big and shoot for the sky. Innovate. Get creative. Get as immersive as you can. If we need to invent something new to pull it off.. let's invent it!" THAT USED TO BE DISNEY! Universal seems to be operating in total freedom right now, and it's going to pay dividends for sure!!!

The last time we went to Disney was in 2016 and have no plans to ever return. Universal definitely is the park of the future while Disney is busy going woke and riding on its laurels from decades ago. They present themselves as a family friendly company but could care less about families or kids for that matter. It’s all about politics with Disney these days and it just isn’t fun anymore while Universal is an absolute blast and actually cares about making guest experience as comfortable and fun as possible.

I go every September and when I looked at the cost of all current hotels for September 2024 compared to September 2025, they've all drastically increased. i would think that the Parking Garage would be where the current trailer city is (you have a hotel) across the street from what you have marked as parking garage. That way the current parking would be utilized while the garage is built . once the garage is built you would have a skywalk across the road accessing the entry plaza and eventually citywalk 2 this would be where you have "parking Garage" and the 4th park would encompass the remaining area with additional space allowed for expansion of park 3 or a 2nd water park where you have Citywalk 2.0.
    one thing i would like to point out is the correctness on the "back of house are and how much this will free up additional space for IOA and the Studios. Also you can sort of see that there is a potential way to use existing waterways to connect all resorts with canals and would not be surprised if the "parking Garage" would be closer to the B line or the Turnpike to make it more accessible from the freeways with a people mover to connect the two Citywalks and or garages. It is also not unimaginable that it would connect to Sea World which I always have said Universal should consider as another option to add another ticket and waterpark option even if its a partnership. Also the fight over the Brightline Path could be included in this and the city.
    That new patent is not all that far from the KUKA technology which was intended to be on rollercoaster and not a TRAK system. Used on Harry Potter and Harry Potter and soon to be Frankenstein. and is very similar to the AXIS coaster minus the programmable part.
    Also i laughed at your assessment of Disneyland, as i visited for the first time two weeks ago after being spoiled by Florida parks for years. I literally could not believe the castle was that small. The dutch wonderland castle is larger.

      @TheNobleWay  6 дней назад

      Yes!! Carl, totally agree with everything you just said. I definitely see using some of these canal spaces for transportation options and the parking garage could definitely make sense there. 👏🏼

    • @TheNobleWay
      @TheNobleWay  6 дней назад

      Yes! It looks wild! Would love to try that out but agree looks sort of like that and the forbidden journey ride vehicle with some programmable pieces to it. Still trying to figure out where they are planning that - maybe in the UK park or something future for US/IOA/EPIC

    • @carlstieren5437
      @carlstieren5437 5 дней назад +1

      @TheNobleWay my thought I'd this patent is a cross between kuka coaster and axis coaster...because the Kuka system I believe is to complicated to be coaster mounted...at one time is it rumored that Frankenstein would be the first.
      So they came up with something not quite as crazy and went with a trak on Frankenstein. Just because they have an idea doesn't it will be used in the near future. It could be 10 years before we see a ride system actually use this.

      @carlstieren5437 for sure! It’s just exciting to see they are continually innovating and dreaming up new things versus just buying up other technology and throwing up poorly thought out attractions or re-themes! 🙌🏼

    The only I problem I see with universal is they don’t have the movies and characters that my kids and I love. So even when they do a good show, it’s full of characters we know nothing about and just isn’t endearing.

    • @TheNobleWay
      @TheNobleWay  11 часов назад

      I agree, that’s exactly why they are starting to lean into more kid friendly IPs like Minions, Dreamworks, Harry Potter, Nintendo, and How to Train Your Dragon. So that these brands that continue to exist and grow will eventually get more kids excited about them for years to come.

    Disney is giving up their bubble because of Universal. Back in the day, when I first went to Disney World in 1982, there was no Universal. By 1987 they only had MK, EC, RC, and Pleasure Island. By 1991 however, they expanded with DS and TL but Universal had just opened their first park. For Disney there still was nothing to worry about cause for most people Universal was only a one-day trip. Nowadays, Universal has as much to offer as Disney with two major theme parks and a third on its way. A shopping area, a waterpark, and hotels. Tourists from far away don't care for the bubble and are going to Orlando for ALL the Theme Parks in the Orlando area and not just for Disney as they used to do.

    • @TheNobleWay
      @TheNobleWay  8 дней назад

      Hey Patrick! Yeah they’ve definitely lost a step with regards to the bubble. I also remember way back in the day before Universal and things were so much different. I still remember when they opened and said “ride the movies”. That was so exciting and now they’ve taken it so far since then.

      @TheNobleWay  7 дней назад

      Yes for sure Ace! I was hoping for a parking garage out of the gate but totally get why they went for the surface lot! Makes sense to be careful with capital expenditures and not overdo it until you get some additional revenue gains. It worked for Universal Studios and the expansion with IOA so they have a successful model to use from their history! 👍🏼

      Excited for sure! However right now not knowing much about it - seems like it might be replications if popular attractions in the US which if that is the case not super exciting. If they actually create new things with existing IPs it could be cool and worth a trip over the pond.

    Loved the video! I am a visual person, so the maps really helped me understand exactly how much land Universal purchased. I thought Epic was HUGE. For them to have more up their sleeve is phenomenal! I believe Disney is completely capable of matching Universal's creative vibe. Unfortunately, they have let the "higher-ups" pockets get lined with ridiculous bonuses and they have lost very talented people to Universal creative already, and it shows! They have made some really bad investment decisions as well as counting on their customers to continue to visit no matter what condition their parks are in. Disney does not have the millions coming in from the box office like they used too as well due to more budget cuts. Everything is SO expensive now and the little bit of discretionary income people have to spend on a family vacation will be spent where the quality paramount! Epic Universe...nothing but net!🗑🏀

    Awesome video!! Definitely gets me pumped for the future of universal. I don’t even think about Disney when I go to Orlando now only universal. I wonder if they would make one of the red zones a dedicated area for HHN? It’s getting so crowded this would give them the opportunity to expand the HHN space, keep working on it all year coming out with bigger and better houses just a thought because they are making HHN this year early like end of august maybe testing if people would come that early. Then have HHN park open from mid August to end of November

    • @TheNobleWay
      @TheNobleWay  13 дней назад +1

      Yes!! Actually we’ve heard some rumors they may very well be bringing HHN to Epic - possibly in the Dark Universe area or more! Could also be something similar to the Universal Horror Unleashed year round experience they are bringing to Las Vegas! Lots of possibilities for sure! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

      @@graffiti.777 If you're talking about Universal Horror Unleashed, they're a permanent and year-round fixture. According to Page Thompson, president of New Ventures for Universal Destinations & Experiences, Universal Horror Unleashed is another way Universal is using their unique style of horror storytelling to engage with fans of the horror genre. They said this park will be fully immersive, and they will continuously update horror experiences, seasonal events, themed dining, and "one-of-a-kind merchandise." So, to me, it seems like a whole park of haunted houses, but with HHN-style, and it also seems they might change and update the experience in each of the haunted houses constantly, I'm thinking annually. Based on these statements, they might even do seasonal events outside of the Halloween festival. It would be cool if they did a horror-themed Christmas event. I mean, like a truly horror-filled and nightmare-induced Christmas. I heard a rumour that Universal would bring UHU to Universal Great Britain.
