Hello brotha, Did you have to take it to the dealership for the uconnect upgrade? Or if you have a tazer z you don’t need to? Because i have the tazer z but i want to replace my screen to a 8.4 for a future project.
Question do you know if the telematics module not working effect the backup camera not to work and uconnect system. For example say I upgrade the radio will i still need to replace the telematics module in order for my uconnect to work? And if i change the radio will it remove my beats or will it still pop out?
Not really sure on the telematics module but from what I’ve seen on RUclips and my experience swapping out my Uconnect it was a direct plug and play! Everything works from Xm radio, car play, back up camera and etc also not sure what u mean by beats? But again it should be direct plug and play especially using an OEM radio! Here another thing my old radio didn’t have the navigation option and my new radio came with navigation so now I have an onboard navigation fully functioning!! Hopefully this information helps you!!

So i was thinking of any possible way i can switch the radio to a radio that already comes with uconnect without needing the telematics module to work. The dam telematics module is like 6 something so that in like a year or two gives out again and being stuck paying another 640. So thats why im asking if its just better to purchase a new radio screen that already comes with the uconnect.
For the themes selection, does it also have the option to set it to the original theme like the one on the 7” UConnect? I’m trying to upgrade my Uconnect soon.
Well I’ve seen other videos and they have mentioned after unplugging the battery to wait anywhere from 30min-1 Hour so I decided to do 2 hours to be safe.
Sorry for the late response. But if you can’t figure out why it’s still dimming, then you might want to replace the LCD screen and see if that solves the problem.
2019 Dodge Charger!! Everything is working as it should, didn’t really have to wait for anything to update because everything sync up after 5 mins of installing it and all the APPs work even my user manual for my vehicle and year are actually showing on the new uconnect screen. Also just purchased a tazer to unlock the remaining hidden features so stay tuned for the video.

@@El_wofersdon’t have the model number or part number but you have to read description when purchasing the Uconnect it should say if it comes with car play or not.
I got my Uconnect from offer up for $50 just got lucky because there was a chance that the screen might not work but as you see in the video once I plugged it in my car everything worked fine. Yea but look at offer up, facebook marketplace and eBay you might find a deal.

I literally was about to buy one from eBay for like $500 but I just kept looking around and having patience and found that deal!!
Couldn’t pass it up was only $60 bucks and a brand new screen is only $200 which I can replace myself and I rather go with the tazer any way for the features so if you do the math I’m like at $500 still better deal I say!!
why would he give it up for 60$ and a good new screen is around 300$ that won’t leak glue look into it man I’m not tryna criticize you I just my ins and outs about uconnect’s
@@chase_playz8238 i appreciate the feedback he just gave me a good deal on it because it wasn’t working on his dodge ram but it’s still oem on the screen and if it does leak I can buy a new LCD and switch out the screen. I almost bought a few different ones but i just waited until I found the best deal hey it probably was meant to be everything happens for a reason.

@@freddybilo3780 it’s a simple plug and play if your staying OEM radio so if your looking to swap to the 8.4 it’s a easy swap and yes I also have the z-automotive tazer and it is really useful if your looking to unlock SRT pages and performance pages and a lot more! Check out my other videos on my channel I also did the tazer install with going over menu features!

You don’t need the tazer to change the screen you only need it for the performance pages if you don’t already have em

How long has it been since you installed it? You might want to give it a few days it most likely will register!!

I think it has the same theme option on the 8.4 same as the 7 inch but the 8.4 has way more theme options that you would probably like more!
why do you wait 2 hours after disconnecting the battery terminal or was that a joke?

Not really sure on that but I believe it might be a bit louder depending on your audio system.
I had a 5 inch then I bought the 8.4 Uconnect plugged it in turned on and then it goes dim. Anybody know how to fix this

Sorry on late reply but try to disconnect the battery for 2-3 Hours so the system could possibly reset.
Now you have to spend an extra 250 on a z tazer to get the sport modes and stuff too
