Underground 2, Most Wanted, and Carbon are from the 👌 generation.
Eduard Sklyanin those were the games I grew up playing. Never liked the ones that came after that. MW was the reason I fell in love with the M3 GTR
For me is Need for Speed (the first), then Hot pursuit 2, then Underground 2
(the first one had a view from the dashboard of the cars, something that later games dropped, when it came out it felt "real" like a simulation).

Yeeeeaaaah, buddy! 😎
IMO Most Wanted is overrated by far: Underground 2>Carbon>Underground>Hot Pursuit 2>Most Wanted>Shift... rest is straight up trash. I Wont lie... I am going to make an Underground 2 style game one day... and make it episodic in the sense that "full length" games comes in seasons, story wise, just like tv-series. To get more of the same without re-releasing the same game over and over. Its probably going to be free to some degree. But its one of my favourite games growing up. others Include: Jak & Daxter Trilogy, Hype - The Time Quest, Commander Keen 4, GTA San Andreas, The World Is Not Enough (which im currently working on a game inspired by), Super Mario 64, Ace Combat 5... there are more good games, but those are the ones i have an ambition to re-imagine at one point.
It's 2005! You bolt in the door from school, kick off your heelys, forge mom's signature on your reading log. Crack a MTN dew, start up the Xbox and are greeted by Rachel's green Z and Riders on the Storm by Snoop Dogg! Life is good!
Same, that was exactly my childhood. Except i had a ps2 slim... the best console ever made.
same except it was my gamecube
In my family there was a little thing called play outside lol
@@rainstorrrm4337 Well that sucks lol
Ahhhh Need for speed Underground 2. The time EA wasn't Greedy.
of course they were... all these games were also rushed and not finished because of EA deadlines... but there were not DLCs

This is the only game where I felt like motion blur is the cherry on the pie. Damn I was so glad when I upgraded from Gf 2 to GF 4 64Mb. Dem feels
Motion blur makes ANY racing game better, imo!
You just don't get that sensation of speed, when you can still make out each individual stone in the asphalt going 200kph, lol
@@LRM12o8 not in all games for me.. motion blur in nfs carbon for example just makes me feel dizzy.
but in this game.. 👌
@@hyperion5175 The motion blur in carbon was pure garbage, and it sucks that you couldnt turn it off
@@MadladDeluxe i remember being able to turn it off tho

I was 22 when this game came out so not exactly my childhood but didn’t stop me from spending dozens of hours playing the shit out of it.
You must be 40 now because I was lie 12 or 13 when this cane out. 😊
@@GodofLovers he is 37. the game came out in 2004. i my self am 30 now was 15 on the release of this game. so he is now 37 not 40. and in 2004 you Where 12 or 13 years old. you dont even take the time to search up when this game was released? pretty stupid of you dont you think?
was 17 when this came out
@@mephInc it's basic Math lol.
@@mephInc you don't know anything about jokes
I also think NFSU2 is better than MW.
Edit : The music in the game made me feel like an actual street racer.
@Neon MW may not as good as U2 but MW is not a trash. U1, U2, MW and Carbon is the most respected NFS in all NFS history. Besides the one that have the most iconic "character car" that even being replicate by players from other games is definitely the original MW 2005 BMW M3 GTR (E46). And also the "drama" for the storyline really made the MW fans still arguing about saying MW as the best NFS(although in my opinion, MW is the 2nd best cuz U2 have some more elements in the game). Just because it's not as great as U2, but a true NFS fans will never said it's a trash, only a trash people said that :)
@Neon - Corolla Virus no, the game is enjoyable too, besides..they have challenge series to make players still have a job to do so the game didn't died too early. Probably you always gets busted or failed around any mission that's why you said it's a trash👎
@Neon - Corolla Virus lmao it doesn't matter if you're a pro or what. You shouldn't call a game as a trash especially when it's kinda iconic. And of course they're easy, it's an arcade racing game, not a full simulator racing. Lol. I understand you have your own opinion but calling something "trash" when it's acceptable by many people just made you sounded like an actual trash even though in real life you're not a trash(and I hope so) ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ
@Neon - Corolla Virus first of all the 4 need for speed games they were good U1,U2,MW and Carbon they were amazing, second of all if you don't like a game then don't talk bad about it just say it wasn't that cool, not saying it's trash like what you did, third of all you don't just come and share your opinion about a game
in that garbage way, clear ?
They are neck and neck.
You play NFSUG2 for the customization, chill night racing and JDM cars.
You play MW for cops, action racing and exotic supercars.
My fav nfs of all time.

Even though I sucked at Need for Speed, I do remember the soundtrack as well! It does have great music.
unfortunately the latest ones are kind of lacking
I still listen to it all the time
that moment when ur racing with the blacklist in most wanted and almost about to finish the race and ur 2nd and then the best part of blood of my valentine kicks in

U2 is my favorite game on the NFS series since I've played it on GameCube.
Ahhh GameCube. You were one of those kids lol.
@@GodofLovers dont h8 m8, NFSU2 GC just h i t s different
OH WOW THERE WAS A GAMECUBE EDITION?!?!? I PLAYED ON A PS2 AHHHHHHH!!!
Gamecube was my favorite version control was spot on
The surprise for me was discovering how well this game holds up on keyboard controls. Most racing games have, understandably, stopped bothering to cater for that, but NFSU2 was tangibly designed to work well on keys. I found myself actually doing well just using WASD which is unheard-of and impossible in most modern racing games.
Have you heard of the Forza horizon games?
i’ve been playing u2 for several days now, and this game aged well
I play it regularly in 1080p 120hz. It's aged perfectly.
NFS Underground 2 was literally the definition of my life! Riders on the storm is still such a good track
in most wanted, i would save the game right before one of the boss races, and when you pick one of the 3 cards, if i didnt get the black market part i would just reset the system. i would do that until i got the part, did it for every boss race. I saved all the parts and put them all on the toyota supra. jeeeezussss that car was fast after that. the cops didnt stand a chance.
i did that but for all the cars. boss cars > parts
Same lol
NFS The Run is better.
@@tommybro5313 haha no
good ol Junkman Parts
I highly recomend configuring the wheel to 250-270 degrees of rotation on these older simcade racers since these game were made for quick turns and reactions, if you use the whole 900 degrees of the wheel you won't have that great of an experience, try going to game devices on windows and configure your wheel lock range, you'll definitely have a better time revisiting old racing games if you do so
0:37 Nice glass head
Wheel you serious? You play this with a keyboard and tick the keys accordingly to move at high speed. 😅
Or the Duke controller, still have my original xbox
@@acreativename7999 or a PlayStation Controller with either the analog stick or d-pad used for steering
@Biro Karoly that and slamming into walls every time they steer... made me feel ill...
This is my absolute favorite NFS and I still love and play it :) Thank you for content like this!
Underground 2, midnight club dub edition and that one Harry parter game. My childhood
Remember playing this when I was in my Bachelor's. My system back then was very low end at the time, P4 2.6GHz HT, 1GB DDR, FX5200 128MB PCI... but it was enough to play this at 800x600 (or was it 1024x768). Good times!
That was insane PC
Underground 2 and Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition were my favorite racing games on Ps2
That intro... pretending to stall in a Hybrid
NFSU2 was my favourite too. Loved the Mazda Miata.
For other games that could do with a graphical spruce up, how about Mount & Blade: Warband?
I'm not going to be paying $50 for Bannerlord while it's still in early access, so it would be nice to see it's predecessor with modern graphics.
I remember having the first NFS... And to be honest I liked High Stakes most, but I'm old I guess 😅
high stakes is one the GOAT back in the day
Brett completely adapted my 2004 virtual wall-to-wall driving style.
Thanks so much, been looking for this for a while!
I literally re-download and played the game today and I see this holy shit
A friend of mine just picked up a white PS1 about an hour ago with this game. 😁
@@bepbep7418 nfsu 2 on ps1? U mean ps2?
Dude for real! I just started doing a play through of this game last week, first time in probably 10 years!
RAY TRACE KINGDOM HEARTS
Awesome vid! I'm going to give this a try so wish me luck! ALSO, I too Really appreciate NFS Carbon and I feel that game doesn't get no where near the respect it deserves so extra kuddos to you buddy!
This game was my childhood, miss playing it on PS2 and it made me love automobiles.
btw, Riders on the Storm was released in the 70's, then Snoop Dogg did a remix of some sort.
Edited because I typed PS4 instead of PS2, whoops.
Didn't think I'd find you here lol. Loved this game when I was younger.
Didn't know it released for Ps4 as well, interesting...
@@MSEdits_MaxScEditing lolol i was half asleep when I wrote this
It's a Doors song, kids of the 90s knew who the Doors were, maybe later generations forgot them.
Souljastation 5 yeah, then Snoop Dogg did the remix. Should have mentioned the original band.
Imagine ever actually using a steering wheel remote
Some of my earliest memories of gaming was playing this game with my brother, and watching Fast and Furious
In my opinion also the best NFS game ever! Been playing Heat which reminds me of it a bit + most wanted, with soundtracks from those games and it's a great nostalgia trip too! Great video! Thanks!
The stadia controller: Why is this place so dark?
Literally 6 minutes of stalling
05:57 is where he starts explaining
NFS Underground 2 introduced me to The queens of the stoneage, and im glad to still listen to them today
Hot pursuit is where i jumped in and where the nostalgia is for me
the ray tracing is so good i cant even see it
KOSS isn't lesser known, you're just not old enough to know about them lmao.
"the walls you will inveitably crash into"

I was so happy when I unlocked this 350 in NFS Heat. I wanted to reinstall Underground 2 on the PC haha ✌🏼
Wait a sec... how old are you exactly? This is also a game from my childhood and I thought that you are older than me :V
he is 29
Bruh I’m thinking the same thing😂💔
depends how you old you mean as childhood, this was the first game i ever played and im close to half his age and i would still define it as my childhood
In 30 and I was playing this when I was 12 or 13.
I’m 26 and this game was one of the first I ever played to death!!!
Ahhhh, maxing out my R34 with those random open world events... Glorious
Cingular merged with and is owned by AT&T but those were the days. Also agree about the soundtrack, there was some stuff I liked already but it definitely opened up to some bands I never liked or heard of before because of this game. I dont like my chemical romance but even that song "thank you for the venom" was pretty damn good. Bottom line, the guy who decided the tracks on this game deserves an award
This was one of my favorite games period I still think about it for time to time. I played the heck out of it on XBOX think I was around 22. I also loved Project Gotham Racing. The Forza series now is the closet game I’ve played that has that NFSU2 feel to it.
I've got an original disc version of this for PC XD
I think I gave mine away... 😔
same but I couldn't manage to run it without disk. I tried mounting it but didn't work
I just ordered a disk ver from amazon
I want Need for Speed Porsche unleashed remastered, it was by far the best need for speed
lOVE THIS VIDEO BRO! Bring back so much memories
I have U1, U2, MW 2005, Carbon, Crysis3 on CD, like a Legend.
3:47 Vin Electric
you drive like a grandma ! haha extend the arms !! haha
i cant get my eyes of that either. wtf it looks so funny
If you can't go anywhere a racing game is a great escape! When I wasn't playing NFSU2 I was driving all over the place just to get lost and find my way back. I used to talk about what gear was best to take turns in what model with a friend who had the racing wheel setup fans included lol. NFSH has been pretty good.
What are the odds !? I got NFSUG2 three days ago to cure my boredom. Greetings from South Africa. 💪🏼
Riders On The Storm
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit is the best NFS of all time.
yyeeee hmmm maybe... Although I liked NFS IV more for car damage
i just googled need for speed underground 2 but that there is a scene about making old games look better is just awesome @UFD Tech just a thank you not only for that game i mean completely thats just sick what you do. :D
What made U2 so good: it didn't GIVE you shit. You had to earn it, especially the cars.
Unlockables were well done. Unique upgrades unlocked though the outrun system which was also awesome.
Currency didn't feel redundant even in late game. Money always mattered. If you wanted 5 maxed out cars, you had to be clever about how you go about it. You HAD to get that 20% off at megalow for your 1st 2 stages
TUNING THE DYNO. HOLY SHIT. you could make a fast car ungodly hyperrealisticly fast. Especially for street X and drift. You'll go from trying to win races to trying to lap the guys on it.
Cars were true to thier name. The exhaust sounds even in all 4 cylinder engines sounded true. For example, the WRX actually sounds like a WRX. Rotary engines sound like Rotary Eninges.
Customizing cars is super flexible.
Replayability comes from trying to find the very best cars for each category. The unique performance upgrades build on this even more.
4:40 an he still haven’t told us how to do it lol I’m outa here
It's ultra simple...
Underground and Most Wanted? Whats that?
Any real OG NFS I-VI players here?
Yes, played the first few and the underground ones later when consoles were acquired.
The Cingular network was acquired by AT&T
broooooo definitely one of my favorite games and i just got it on my pc last night, still as good as i remember :)
I loved that the game was set during night time. I loved just driving around listening to the soundtrack

!!!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAH I love that intro!! lol, i drive a prius, too (and i used to drive a sports car).
I like driving on mountainsides, because you can switch between D mode and B mode while going downhill, and it kind of feels like shifting gears, haha.
Koss is a lesser known brand.... Koss INVENTED headphones lmao kids these days. How about the OG Gran Turismo.
NFS came out first
@@souljastation5463 and Outrun came out before that. I'd still like to see Gran Turismo remastered. (I loved how I had my Eclipse set up)

The Need for Speed or GTFO
Lmao. Original hot pursuit is real old school and a true classic.
From a point of Nostalgia, my fave NFS is the first one on 3DO.. yeah the one with the It amazed me at the time in 1994 when I was 9. I ended up getting it in 1997 for Sega Saturn (along with Duke Nukem 3D & the original Grand Theft Auto for PC!). Good times, the 90s were a great decade
so nostalgic! I had played it when i was still a child.
Had this on my laptop when I deployed back in 09. This, halo2 and the battlefield island demo was insane in the tent. Wish I still had my external from that deployment. Had so many cracked gems.
Finished this game with all 8 starter cars and lost track of how many times I’ve finished this game. My favorite of them all NFS
i hope you make more videos like this! gaming hardware news are cool, but most of us actually play the games, too!
Underground 2 and most wanted was a completely breakthroughs in the entire need for speed universe. Nothing has been as good as those; hope to see sth like that eventually.
That sounds like a lot of work! I give you props on figuring out how to do all that though, and all the people that developed the software’s. I recently bought a new hard drive from my old 360 slim just so I can play the original Xbox dvd Version, it definitely doesn’t run that great, but man the nostalgia!
I remember back then, when the Skyline GTR used to be op 😍.
it is the best one thank you for this i needed this
One of my favorite open-world driving games is the original Microsoft Mid-town Madness
Underground 2 chip tuning with a dyno is super cool feature. And drag racing was a blast. I want that game remastered for split screen!
The lights and details in my nfs u2 was like that in the 4k thumbnail and that was more than a decade ago
NFSU2 is THE game that I played for years and years growing up on my PS2.
Sooo many good memories on that game though... I used to drive in free mode for hours and hours and hours and played my own music to it. I dunno how many hours i dedicated to that game (i guess several 100 hours) but it was totally worth it 😂 i found this video randomly and now i miss this game a lot! Still have it on cd-rom somewhere on my screed but no pc to play on 😣 i just enjoy the memories 😍🙏🏻
Man thank you I can do this now on my laptop. Now I wonder if there's a remastered like you did for NFSMW2005
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion has an amazing amount of modernisation mods
That wire meshing of the cobblestone was great
This game really needs to be remastered for next gen.
They would ruin it with in-game purchases. Still be a class game though.
The Xzibit song, Chingy - I do ballin, Sly Boogy - Thats my name, The doors ft snoop dogg - Riders on the storm, Capone- I need speed . All of them are classics
I feel like this game SCREAMS early 2000s and i love that about this game! i personally prefer most wanted but undergroud 2 is still amazing and i loved it when i was a kid
I miss these games so much this one was my favorite then carbon was my second fav
Myself on XBrick1 loved NFSU2, I did the entire game with the corolla even ultimate parts. I was top 10 in the world on StreetX and would lap 2nd place often. Online mind you.
I even got a "Secret Achievement" for gaining 100bhp with manual engine tuning.
That's my favorite NFS Tittle of all time and believe me I have played all of them followed closely by NFS RIVALS and lastly NFS PAYBACK
This is really cool thanks for sharing!!!
NFS Hot Pursuit was the game that got me into racing games and cars in general.
Legendary EPIC games till date. Nothing can beat UG2 and IGI1..
I've so heavily modded this game. 4k texture packs, realistic reflections, high poly model swaps. reworked hd realistic audio mods
you know, for a 2004 game, it looks hella good. i mean yeah it aint no half life 2, but the visuals and lighting and shaders and everything just clicks
In my quarantine I revisited underground 1 and 2
There is the upcoming graphics mod called Last Exodus, which made by the same person who made the Redux graphics mod for the original Underground (and that was a damn fine mod).
