I’ve seen the good and bad in the Philippines and I can say from experience the good is far greater than the bad. Married to a Filipina for 14 years and love the people.👍
I have a Filipino girlfriend and she is intelligent even though her English isn't all that great I can tell that she is smart. All her family has been friendly and has accepted me in to their family. I have nothing bad to say besides I wish that the majority of Americans were as kind as the Philippines are.
She's a Filipino who speak tagalog I'm bisayan another Filipino language tagalog is very hard for bisayan cus we don't usually speak the national language cus all are bisayan and we bisayan are good at English some ppl who speak tagalog are also good it only depends on the ppl who always speak English or ppl who taglish like me

I met lots from Pilipina here in US, theyre so successful here and theyre so smart than any asians i met here.
Most people in other countries here cant even speak english but pilipins are further smarter than them and theyre so generous as well

It help to speak any other languages for communication purposes. True is not necessarily speaking other language it make you smarter. The most intelligent are the listener !!! 😏😏😏

I've spent 20 months in the Philippines and their are really smart , mid smart and lower smart people just like every country . I love the Philippines and the Philippino people and they are very friendly .my Philippino girlfriend speaks 3 languages and I've met many Philippinos that speak 2 to 4 languages so most other countries can't match that .

Filipinos are more interested on family, friends and having fun. Achieving some form of expertise is not a priority. Living in a hot climate than can grow anything make them feel satisfied. No dream of taking over the world but just existing and enjoying in a way that is smart. All of us are not gonna live forever but living peacefully and happy is good enough. What’s the point of being the number 1 country if u are at war and cause destruction.

hi mike I learned you are taking up flying course,where, my cousin is a pilot instructor in Angeles city,pampanga, he was a jet fighter pilot and was a PAL pilot and now a retired Col .
Filipinos have always wanted to be highlighted or recognized around the world. When a person becomes famous, we try to find out if he or she has Filipino roots. I don't know if that's something that we should be proud of, or we're just trying hard to be recognized even if it looks pathetic already. Just my 2 cents
That's bec we are oftentimes taken for granted perhaps because we're small, underdeveloped and not much globally advertised.
Well it is pathetic. The successes of those people is not the country's success just because we share the same genetics, their success has nothing to do with the Philippines. It's nothing but insecurity and obsession with recognition and feeling validated by other people. It's just sad and desperate. Humility goes a long way. Accomplish something worthwhile as a people and nation first and maybe you can start making noise about yourselves.
@@gunshotlagoon922 But happiness is important. When a Filipino is proud of someone full or half blooded Filipino, it gives him inspiration, joy, hope and ambition, regardless that person he look up to do not know him, but it doesn't matter at all.
@@donieambrocio403 I agree we do need happiness and we need heroes too. But the problem is that Filipinos have become obsessed with things like having pride, being validated, getting recognized, and seeking approval. They often do this by attaching themselves to the successes of someone famous and then treat their achievement as if it's the achievement of every Filipino person. This type of mentality makes you wonder whether Filipinos are truly happy with themselves inside as individuals. Too much pride, not enough happiness.

I used to work with a a successful Vietnamese in one of these companies in Chicago, he told me that him and his family were interned in one of these refugee camps in the Philippines. Him and his family were so great for the Filipinos hospitality, generosity and kindness.

With good side and worst side, I love my country and I love my fellow countrymen. I can proudly say we’re the best people and best country. We may have our differences but when it comes to defending our own, we defend fiercely. Some examples are those OFWs who were sentenced to death and our people rallied to change the sentence regardless of whether they deserved the punishmenet.
