To me, Deepika always seemed like a Narcissist. Narcissistic people have hypocritical traits, exaggerated self-righteousness, and self-importance, the tendency for betrayal, always with people who will adore her and consider her valuable (like Ranveer) and in case somebody cuts ties with her, then using every means to malign somebody's image in front of others, in case that same person cuts ties with her (In case of Ranbir).
I felt the same thing, right from her modeling days. Irrespective of gender, and no matter how conventionally good-looking someone might be, narcissism makes them really ugly. I never felt good vibes from her. It would be wise of Ranveer to move on before he becomes the next Will Smith.

In my opinion, everytime ranveer tried to talk to her about her past like an adult at home, deepika used to gaslight him that's the reason he got upset and broke his character and said with frustration "Abhi tho tum bol rhi thi and all" in the middle of the show.
In my experience, many people (relatives of mine) who are suffering from mental health issues use this tactic of gaslighting.
Despite of the fact that they knew the consequences, they deliberately put all the blame on the people "who are trying to help" them.

It’s always sad when one person worships their partner and the other person embarrasses them in public. I love Deepu as an actress. She’s played some really iconic characters and she’s a great dancer. But something about the way she openly shared the start of their relationship gave me an ick about her. I don’t know if I would label her as toxic, but it’s definitely a red flag when she pretends to forget who she was seeing at the same time as Ranveer.
