Okay, okay, but a 1 - 2% drop is not quite the time to get excited. That isn't a big discount. Wait for 10% - 15%. It WILL happen, probably in the next 12 - 18 months.

Seems highly unlikely given the historical performance in election years. I remember when I was still extremely bearish and saw the statistics about market breadth and once it breaks through certain thresholds what the markets may look like. Every single time we had the occurrence markets were positive a year later. Ignored it then but here we are. No matter how unlikely it seems, my conclusion is certain statistics that go back that far in history and repeatedly end up the same results are not ones to be ignored.
