"BECAUSE IT WAS LABELLED !" Funniest Dan moment in this episode. Loved Ella's miming attacks in a crime scene.
Aaron is always one step ahead of the rest, understanding what is going on. Lucifer was truly angry when he ignited the sword.
Aaron seems really into the show
In the Pilot Lucifer explained that his Mojo works easier on simple minded humans, for more complicated humans (like Dan) he has to turn up the intensity of his Mojo. I think his “charm” works the same way, if he wanted Ella he could get her but he’s not interested in her in that way so he doesn’t pursue.
Yet in the pilot he also expressed confusion that Chloe didn’t look at him “with carnal fascination” as apparently ALL women did...

@@trayolphia5756 His natural charms definitely affect Ella as she definitely did consider having sex with him in the Weaponizer episode when he suggested it but she IS actually a professional and thought better of it. Lucifer also doesn't affect EVERY woman sexually, just a lot of them. You learn much more about Lucifer as the show goes on so i'll leave it at that.

That scene with Ella and Lucifer explaining the spree murder was actually directed by Lauren German (Chloe).
The fact that Lucifer allows Linda to process through him, says a lot about how much he's come to depend on her being there for him. He wants his therapist back, and he's willing to put up with listening to her - for himself, of course. LMAO! Way to go, Linda. I knew you could do it!

Fun fact! The scene where Ella acts out the murders with Lucifer was in the script, but none of the movements were. Lauren German (who plays Chloe) pulled them both aside between takes and suggested they do it because she thought it would be funny. She choreographed the whole thing and then they left it in the final cut. The only thing she didn't choreograph was Tom putting his hand on the back of Aimee's head, which she didn't even realize he'd done until she watched the scene back 😂
It caught me off guard when Aaron said 'more like the strength of Dan. Not Will, we haven't met him yet'.

There is a fabulous Q/A session from Tom and Aimee on RUclips where they discuss amongst other things that scene as one of their favourite fun scenes and how it all was choreographed by Lauren and Tom said they knew they had an opportunity to do something 'naughty' (his words) and get away with what they got away with!

I wanted to say this many episodes ago but I forgot. Charlotte's office has three pomegranate paintings and I heard from a comment on an Attack on Titan reaction that pomegranates symbolize resurrection in classical religious culture. Can't be a coincidence.
I've heard theories that the pomegranate was actually the fruit that Eve picked.

As far as Ella not being charmed by Lucifer, there was a moment in the episode Weaponizer (2x5) where she was briefly seduced by him and on board with having sex before "snapping out of it." It happened when they were examining the crime scene near the beginning. Lucifer misunderstood something she said and assumed she wanted to sleep with him. :) Otherwise, I think he just doesn't bother working his mojo on her because he's not interested in her in that way.
I love deckerstar but you gotta admit Ella and Lucifer have great chemistry, pun intended

Non-spoiler bts thing because you specifically mentioned the cutouts: it was mentioned in an interview (forgive me, i don't remember which) that the Glory guest actor was a pretty big tool on set and later one of the leads started hiding the leftover cutouts to scare/annoy the other casts members.
Also -- you guys should watch the gag reels, the entire cast are cut-ups

@@oxanatarashchuk4598 No, MS 19 is right. They said it in the episode (the scene at the grave): that it kills humans (no indication that their soul is destroyed) and erased Celestial (and Infernal) beings completly.

I loved how Linda kept asking questions about who was in hell and what is it like and how did Lucifer handle people like Hitler, and just couldn't let it go for almost the entire episode. I mean, who wouldn't want to ask a ton of questions or demand answers if we found out God and/or the devil exists?
I totally missed the joke of Ella stabbing Lucifer the first time I saw that episode.
The writers have said in at least one interview that they don't include Jesus in this 'pantheon'. I forget the reason they gave, but I took it to mean they were wanting to keep the show in it's own world in that regard, and if I remember correctly, Jesus does not feature into the comics either.
I think the main reason is because it would have to address the Trinity.. which is SUPER complex and something that has divided the Christian church/churches near from the start. If you have Jesus... then you have to establish what Trinitarian view is canon in the show... or if you include Jesus and not the Holy Spirit... then it's even more complex. The only way I could see them do it is to just lampshade how no one but God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit understand the Trinity and no one else can and they just cut them off anytime they try and explain.
You are correct in that Jesus is not featured in the comics. Also in the comics micheal and lucifer were gods first angels.

Mark 6:16. Hmm. In "The Elder Scrolls" games, Soul Gems are used to enchant weapons and apparel. To fill a Soul Gem, you use an enchanted weapon that takes souls or use a spell to trap souls.
Once a soul has served such a purpose, the soul eventually goes to a special purgatory made for them. 🐉🐲
I always love these deep conversations with Lucifer! Mainly, towards how Eric gets into deep thought like Jesus for example. I always have these same ideas or theories about the show, but I remembered this is the DC Universe version of Lucifer, and it's the universe. This Ella and Lucifer are probably one of the top funny scenes from this show. Awesome review of this episode Blind Wave! :D

To a degree... I think they are 'vessels' in the same way a human body is for the soul. They have bodies of flesh... but they are vessels for a spiritual being which is their true essence. According to Christianity at the end times when the 2nd Coming happens and the New Earth and New Jerusalem are created for all eternity, everyone will have new bodies.
Don’t know if it has been mentioned yet but the blade only wipes out the souls of celestials. It just kills mortals like any other weapon. Their souls still go to either Heaven or Hell

This isn’t spoiling so don’t worry: Goddess (mother) has never had a physical form, that’s why the demons were never able to torture her. (Maze stated as such when she first saw her) All of the Angel’s already have set forms. Lucifer didn’t choose his (becomes abundantly clear in the newest season XD) nor did any of his other siblings.
And the Angel of Death doesn’t technically NEED her blade. God gave it to her at a certain point in the past (which you will learn) for reasons, but she never actually needed it. All Azrael actually does is take dead souls to heaven or hell when they die, with the occasional “false alarm” (someone she came to escort but had actually survived despite all odds) that can happen. (Whether this is ALL the dying people or just the ones who linger because they don’t know which way to go is unclear. They haven’t specified. I hope it’s the latter, otherwise the poor girl would have NO free time XD)

18:05 I don't know how familiar you are with the comics but this is based on the DC Vertigo universe and Death is a different entity. The Angel of Death is just Heaven's assassin. She's who is sent if Heaven needs someone killed. Death of the Endless is the embodiment of death and takes spirits to the afterlife.

I have a theory why Ella isn't overly affected by Lucifer and it's something that Amenadiel say's to Chloe in S5, and there is a brief moment when Ella meets Amenadiel in S3 that seems to support it. I would love to tell you but I don't think you want me to give anything away. So unfortunately you're going to have to wait soz.
Lucifer does not affect Ella that much (beside the urge to hug him) because lucifer awakens the deepest desires in people and Ella's deepest desire is not to have sex with any man, but her belief in God and the good. Dr. Linda tried to defend herself against her desire but it didn't work at first. With Chloé the whole "desire" thing doesn't work at all, for whatever reason ... mystery!

I think they avoid Jesus not just to avoid offending a few people but because it's just too complex a story to go into in a fun show. Jesus' divinity was decided by man in 300 ad at the council of Nicea. Many until then and for some time afterwards believed Jesus was a man with great ideas (after Nicea these people became heretics).
If Jesus was a human then Lucifer and the other celestials beings might find the whole Jesus being the son of god as offensive. Or they may not see him as the son of god as Jesus, the holy spirit and god are one in the same.

Like when he turned that bomb into water. But lucifer can do it on a universe scale. He literally created all the stars in the universe in one action. Just a random thought
