Star Wars is just one of those things where when you see a grown man cry, it's completely understandable. No questions at all. Just simple acknowledgement that he is in fact a real human being.
your reaction right when Han and Leia's theme started was how I got. It took me straight back to my early childhood in the late 80's and early 90's when I watched the original trilogy unaltered on recorded vhs tapes. My favorite movies of all time. I'd sit and watch the movie and play with my legos creating ships and having space battles.
I've watched hundreds of reactions to this trailer and this is the one that I keep coming back to. I think your reaction most closely mirrors my own. this feels completely genuine and makes me even more excited for Star Wars
The dynamic between him and the boy shows what the film means to the dad. Star Wars was a part of his (and my) growing up and we can see the emotion in that. Best reaction to a trailer I've seen.
I really liked it when people start tearing up when they see the Millennium Falcon flying. The part where Han Solo says “ their real” he almost looses it . So awesome.
I can't that music out of my head. There is something poetic about Star Wars that gives you a feeling like no other. Call me a geek or whatever man, that trailer was powerful.
+Ian H Uneven and shoehorned? The Han & Leia theme is straight out of Empire and plays right when old Han is talking about events of the original trilogy, so no.
This is probably the first trailer reaction I've seen where I feel it's entirely genuine and not hammed-up and over-emoted in an attempt to garner more views. Just real, unadulterated emotion. Thanks for posting.
Honestly, Bryan, this shows just how much of a true man you are...It was probably the best trailer for a film ever, so, for people who were there in the original, first hey-day (we're currently in the third one as we speak...though, the prequels didn't deliver on the promises of the OT, so this could really be called the second one) of Star Wars, emotions, tears, shouts, feels, and overall nostalgia are expected and encouraged. Thanks for posting, man...I hope you do it again for Episode VIII.
For me, when when im referring to the 30, really 32 yrs, im hinting at the fact that the "prequels" wasn't successful at connecting us with the characters, having those shocking revealing true moments, excitement, fun gags, perfectly paced, emotionally invested lightsaber battles and dominating dark and moody moments that made the original Star Wars - MAGIC, which then made them instant CLASSICS! But. im not here to bash the prequels. In the end, its what you personally like and no one should have the power to persuade you of that. Besides, you have more Star Wars films to enjoy than I do. So look who makes out ;)
I know this feeling... I remember having 4 or 5 years old, when I watched "A New Hope" for the first time... this was the story that travelled in our imagination to adulthood. Those tears come not by "geekness", but from beautiful memories of our childhood
Nothing embarrassing about this, sir. The number of acceptable things to bring a grown man to tears can be counted on one hand. Star Wars is one of them. I applaud you for sharing this. My reaction was more of a two minute long ear-to-ear smile similar to a boy seeing breasts for the first time haha.
Lol -- you got teary-eyed when Han and the Millennium Falcon appeared haha! We all did man -- we ALL did haha! The kid laughed and freaked when Kylo was about to lay the smack on Finn haha! and BTW, hopefully he keeps his limbs and, of course life, after that match. Thanks for posting and a B-I-G thumbs up! :-D And may the Force be with you .............................................................................................. always.
Fantastic video, Bryan! I just love the look on your sons face, right at the end, when he looks over at his very emotional dad, and then glances off camera kind of like "is he alright?". This year December is going to be an awesome month!
I welled up when i saw the Trailer the first few times, but nothing compared to what happened when i saw it in the theatre before SPECTRE. Nothing can compare to the raw emotion, the anticipation, excitement and possibly fear that us Star Wars fans are currently experiencing....exciting times!
Hell, I still tear up watching the trailer and I've seen it countless times and the movie 4 times already. It's just a beautifully made trailer that gets my adrenaline pumping a little TOO much. ;)
Por primera vez veo a alguien que ha reaccionado como yo al ver el trayler de la película: con lágrimas en los ojos. No eres el único. Qué la Fuerza te acompañe, amigo. Saludos! Andreu.
Right there with ya buddy. I had the same reaction. I've actually had more fun watching these reactions as you see how special this thing is for all of us born in the 70's / 80's. Shrinks the world so beautifully.
Dude, straight up, I felt just like you did and had the same reaction with my kid. Good to see folks like you out there care for this saga as much as I do.
The emotion that you showed was absolutely beautiful! I was the same way as I watched it. Just awesome to know that it is only a couple of months away. Than you so much for sharing your experience. May the Force be with you--- always. :)
I'm not an outwardly emotional man, I've been at war for the better part of a decade and I'll only be 30 in may... but I had the same reaction as the dad here. it's like seeing old friends that you figured were "long gone" after "return of the jedi" ended. or a piece of your childhood that you put to rest because "it's time to be a grown up now" and then you hear that music... and the sounds of the x-wing shooting a tie fighter!!! suddenly a strange liquid start filling your eyes and you can't help it. feels good actually. also, these trailers (teasers) had better acting than 90% of the prequels combined. I don't wanna get over hyped after "TPM" incident lol but from everything I've seen so far, they're treating the franchise with respect and care and I'm soo glad. someone should put a night vision camera at the front of the theater to capture the audience wiping tears from their eyes.
It's funny how those emotions sneak up on you and appear when you least expect it...like when a trailer emerges that reignites those feelings you had long ago as a kid watching Star Wars. And if you're my age (48), then the prequels were probably a major disappointment, so this is doubly more meaningful to you. J.J. looks like he has recaptured what it is that makes a movie a _Star Wars_ movie. JW3HH
+Bryan Young Jar Jar and the slapstick humor was a bit much for me (since there was none of that in the original trilogy - they had humor, but just more "mature", I guess). And the bit about the metachlorians made me cringe. "Nooooo!!! This is not Star Trek!!" I yelled in the movie theater... Anyway, they sort of got better with each new installment, but part of the problem, for me, was that there was never a moment where we were given a chance to _care_ about the characters: We were just sort of thrown in the mix right off the bat. There are a few videos on YT that outline the various problems with character development in the prequels (amongst other things). Episode 7 seems to be very much more character driven, which I am really looking forward to. Got my tickets for opening day! Later. JW3HH
+JustWasted3HoursHere RUclips isn't the forum for me to get into explaining why I love all of those things, including Jar Jar and midi-chlorians. I usually do that in the pages of Star Wars Insider.
+Bryan Young Fair enough. I still think mentioning the midichlorians (thanks for the spelling correction :P) wase a mistake because it changed The Force from a "mystical energy field" to a biological condition, like diabetes. Fantasy is what separates Star Wars from most other Sci-Fi, and the midichlorians hurt that distinction. Anyway, looking forward to this like no other movie in the last ten years that I can think of. Take care, my fellow Star wars nerd! JW3HH
+JustWasted3HoursHere Well, Midi-chlorians didn't replace the mysticism, they were merely a sign of the Jedi's arrogance in thinking they could better understand their faith through science. And midi-chlorians weren't the Force itself, merely a symbiotic life form that reside in all living cells, helping some beings connect more strongly to that mystical force.
Don't worry bro', I know how you feel....DAMN YOU LUCAS and Abrahmns...!!!! Just when I thought I was grown you pull me back into a kid....hahahahaha!!!!
That was so cute! Even if it's weird to think of Podcasters are real people rather than a voice on the Internet. And hey, got to see the famous Anakin!
I reached out and touched your head towards the end of the trailer. I felt what you were feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had the same reaction brotha man... In front of my girlfriend and her gal friend (non-star wars fans)... They didn't understand. Thank you for posting.
You should do a video talking about Twilight of the Apprentice please! What do you think about Ezra opening the Sith Holocron and what do you think happened to Ahsoka? What do you think is in store for season 3?
love it man...I feel your emotion..I teared up so much too. any woman who thinks men are void of emotion...just sit with us while we watch star wars :)
Why is it that there has only been TWO people (other than myself) who've gotten the Arya Stark reference in this trailer? Yeah, I know..it's Star Wars and not Game of Thrones, but that's a pretty obvious hat tip to GOT in there. Rae's saying "I'm no one."
Star Wars is just one of those things where when you see a grown man cry, it's completely understandable. No questions at all. Just simple acknowledgement that he is in fact a real human being.
+Anime Fan I don't cry often but when I do it's Star Wars.
#starwarsmademyeyespee
Truest statement ever
this trailer turns fathers into the same age as their children for 2 and a half minutes :)
your reaction right when Han and Leia's theme started was how I got. It took me straight back to my early childhood in the late 80's and early 90's when I watched the original trilogy unaltered on recorded vhs tapes. My favorite movies of all time. I'd sit and watch the movie and play with my legos creating ships and having space battles.
The music is what puts it over the top. Glad to know I wasn't the only one
I've watched hundreds of reactions to this trailer and this is the one that I keep coming back to. I think your reaction most closely mirrors my own. this feels completely genuine and makes me even more excited for Star Wars
Thanks, man!

skip 10 years from now and his kid will have tears when remembering this episode.
It's ok bro. Let those man tears out.
Haha
1:12 Never in the history of cinema has so much raw emotion been drawn by the sight of Harrison Ford on screen.
A true fan. He’s been there from the beginning. Can’t wait for the new one to come out!
The first note hits and Dad simultaneously "SHHH!"
LMAO!
SON YOU SHOW RESPECT FOR THE STAR WARS!
I really liked it when people start tearing up when they see the Millennium Falcon flying. The part where Han Solo says “ their real” he almost looses it . So awesome.
That music just built and built and didn't let you go until that lady told you to "let it in."
Simply amazing.
+Mark OfGomorrah that lady is carrie fisher according to disney^^
***** in the beginning it´s her but the official disney website said carrie. i thought it was lupita too tbh
and it might be rey she´s talking to
The is the best/most realest reaction I've seen so far. Love it.
Take your whole family and make new memories :)

Hit me right when it you. That music.
i've seen a lot but THIS, is a real Star wars fan...Epic reaction, no bullsh**t, no clapping bla bla, just emotion..its real !
I'm still crying.
This is probably the first trailer reaction I've seen where I feel it's entirely genuine and not hammed-up and over-emoted in an attempt to garner more views. Just real, unadulterated emotion. Thanks for posting.
beautiful dude beautiful!
YOU NAMED YOUR KID ANAKIN?!?!?!?!?! FUCKING FATHER OF THE CENTURY
Someone is force chocking a cat next room
Best one so far.
39 years old, same reaction. I've watched this trailer probably 100 times now and it still gets me every time.
i bet im the same age as you. weve been waiting for THIS Star Wars for 30 yrs! I think it is.
+Christopher Craig I've only been waiting for 10 years for a new great Star Wars film in the cinema.
ohhhh. wasnt expecting that at all, actually. Well, you made out better than I did, then. We'll, keep it at that ;)
+Christopher Craig I am 35, though. So maybe we are the same age.
im a little older, 37
For me, when when im referring to the 30, really 32 yrs, im hinting at the fact that the "prequels" wasn't successful at connecting us with the characters, having those shocking revealing true moments, excitement, fun gags, perfectly paced, emotionally invested lightsaber battles and dominating dark and moody moments that made the original Star Wars - MAGIC, which then made them instant CLASSICS!

No shame dude...I am 42 and I reacted exactly the same
I know this feeling... I remember having 4 or 5 years old, when I watched "A New Hope" for the first time... this was the story that travelled in our imagination to adulthood.
Those tears come not by "geekness", but from beautiful memories of our childhood
Been backlogging full of sith. Just got to this episode. Fulfilled my expectations. ✊
"There real " got me too Brother
Don't hide those tears. I'm 44 and I got wet eyes. Star Wars will do that to us guys.
Nothing embarrassing about this, sir. The number of acceptable things to bring a grown man to tears can be counted on one hand. Star Wars is one of them. I applaud you for sharing this. lmaooooo perfect analogy sir

Loved this reaction. Our kids get it, but they'll never fully get it. This has been a part of our lives since we were their age. Star Wars forever🤘🏼
Fantastic video, Bryan!
I just love the look on your sons face, right at the end, when he looks over at his very emotional dad, and then glances off camera kind of like "is he alright?".

The kid ABSOLUTELY BAFFLED by Dad crying! That generation have no idea what Star Wars means, no idea.

ain't nothing wrong with tears here dudebreh
I cried, and I'm proud of it. I still cry when I watch the trailer, and I've seen it about 70 times now. THAT MUSIC!!!!!
i had the same feeling bro.. I felt like a kid again so much mixed emotions love it
BEST REACTION I EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE.NO SCREAMS, ONLY TEARS. GREAT!
Wow man. One of the most powerful trailer reactions I've ever seen still.
And we see a Man reclaim his childhood at time frame 1:04. Beautiful. We get it dude. There with you.
Man tears, man. Man tears. I couldn't hold it back no matter how many times I've watched it!
Por primera vez veo a alguien que ha reaccionado como yo al ver el trayler de la película: con lágrimas en los ojos. No eres el único.
Qué la Fuerza te acompañe, amigo.

Very few trailers can actually bring someone to genuine tears. The Force Awakens marks the beginning of the true journey....
It's okay bro, we all shed manly tears
Right there with ya buddy. I had the same reaction. I've actually had more fun watching these reactions as you see how special this thing is for all of us born in the 70's / 80's. Shrinks the world so beautifully.
I had the same feeling man, grew up with episodes 4 - 6. I was 8 yrs old again for 2 minutes.
Dude, straight up, I felt just like you did and had the same reaction with my kid. Good to see folks like you out there care for this saga as much as I do.
I cried too. I'm an 80's child and this movie I think will finally do justice to the originals.
The emotion that you showed was absolutely beautiful! I was the same way as I watched it. Just awesome to know that it is only a couple of months away. Than you so much for sharing your experience. May the Force be with you--- always. :)
Your reaction was very beautiful, very true and spontaneous, I was able to see the childhood memories of Star Wars in your eyes. You have my respect.
My fav reaction vid so far.
Fantastic reaction. Right in the feels.
best reaction ever, watching this after seeing the movie, still nearly made me well up

did the same thing buddy. not long now!

Takes us back, that is the emotion.

Man I felt the same. Deep emotions! No need to scream or shout. Fuckin' real! Your tears made me cry as well!

Legit fan reaction
Awesome video! Watching you tear up made me tear up. :-)
That day in December is going to be unreal!

And hey, got to see the famous Anakin!
Epic. I held back tears myself.
save the video forever...
for a little moment, we saw two little boys watching with fascination and awe, Star Wars....
Best reaction I've seen... More power to you!
Real and honest reaction from a Star-Wars fan.

You really named your on Anakin? Hahaha wtf, and his face was like "is he tearing ? " hahaha but this is sweet lol.
I had the same reaction brotha man... In front of my girlfriend and her gal friend (non-star wars fans)... They didn't understand. Thank you for posting.

+Kortnie Pimentel So, I did that on my podcast, alongside Vanessa Marshall who plays Hera! fullofsith.com/archives/1659
+Bryan Young oh okay sweet I'll go check it out! Thanks for responding! (:
Were your kitties having a reaction too?

Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
awesome reaction for a real fan

Gimme a break. Got didn't create the line "I'm no one".
