    Paulette Goddard should have gotten nominated for best supporting actor. Her character made the whole emotional dynamic believable. This is a historic gem, but sadly sits on the bottom shelf of TCM classic war films.

      I agree it needs to be shown often. Military nurses went through hell in all wars they served in. If interested please read the books We band of Angels and then a book called If I Perish one book deals with the Pacific theater of war the other the European theater of war. They very well written and have some very horrific occurrences
