You addressed my headlamp question, in auto mode headlights not turning off during daylight, on this tech Tuesday video, thanks. FYI, I changed the sensor myself and the headlights are working normally. They are on national back order I have heard and I got one of two left in the state where I live. Several forum posters tried to get one but were told there are none to be had. A few others were able to locate them. It has been posted by others that cars built from late February 2022 and into May could have this problem. While not a serious problem, it bugged me to have something not working correctly.
I also have the same problem car built the end of May. Where is the sensor and was it easy to replace?
@@kenjacobsen4767 The sensor is the square piece in the middle of the top of the dash. Yes easy to replace but a bit difficult to reach. I used blue tape around the sides to protect the dash. Clips on both sides need to be pushed in and then it comes out. Some have used thin putty knife to push clips in. One plug to disconnect. I bought mine even though warranty would cover it but didn't want to tie up my car in service waiting for them to find a sensor which I already knew they couldn't.
I have a 2022 built late March and had the dealer replace the Ambient Light Sensor replaced, $13 part and dealer picked up light sensor fault code. Issue resolved.
Hey Rick I haven’t seen you do anything regarding “Lambo doors.” Will an installation alter any of the electronics and is there an installation kit that does not require cutting into the body ? Looking forward to what you have to say about this.

If I change my engine oil they say put oil in filter which is ok. If you change the dct filter do you put Tran oil in that before seating filter?

Hey Rick, there is a Mecedes dealership in Atlanta that's using Your phrase " Stop dreaming and start driving" RBM of Atlanta. I heard it on a radio commercial today. I thought you might find that amusing.
Didn’t you learn anything at Spring Mountain!. The leaked spec sheet from 2020 had a Grand Sport on the spec sheet as a C8 the E-Ray I still believe as an Electric Corvette.
Who in the world p-p-puts an aftermarket radio in a brand new C8!?! What did the aftermarket unit have that the C8 didn’t ?
Great Tech Tuesday Rick especially on the Blue Attack Filter I wound up putting a K&N C8 filter in place of the OEM Filter it made a big difference in Startup, Idle and performance. OEM was to restrictive. Comparing air flows are pretty much with all these filters hopefully a little better gas mileage. Had one on the C5 ran real great. Have a great day Rick. Tom from SC.

@Richard w/ C8 rough idle - I had a similar issue you described. I would add sometimes you would see the RPMs move erratically and feel a vibration in the car when switching from v4 to v8 mode. The dealership found corrosion on the #4 spark plug or plug wire, can't remember which. The dealership replaced both and the car has been running great since.

Yeah changed my oil and Trans filter at 3k miles also added the 2 quarts of Trans fluid .will do again at 7500 miles
The new build and price tool didn't have any place that I could find for 2 tone seats, What else is missing?
It is there...under Options, there is an Exterior and an Interior tab to select. Two tone seats are under the Interior tab.
The guy with the idle issue, could that be caused by bad gas?

Yes, my 2023 C8 order placed in May included 2 tone seats.

Rick, here's a challenge: every year I determine the highest MSRP possible for Corvette. This is the spec that I buy (on my 7th). Awaiting the Z06 pricing to figure this out for '23 but working on it for Stingray. I made a rule that GCA options do not count -- do not add any of them to spec. Museum delivery (have done 3) and customized VIN DO count. Seems easy, but with color combination override and 70th anniversary it gets tricky. I got to $110,580 for '23 Stingray so far. Can you get it higher?
