    Since my last laser-cut speaker project, which was 4 years ago, I’ve always wanted to get my hands on a laser engraving machine, so I’m excited to see what Creality can offer with the budget-friendly Falcon 2. The laser comes pre-assembled and well protected with many accessories included like the material sample kit, a honeycomb bed, raisers for additional height, tools for assembly, laser safety goggles, an air assist pump for cleaner cuts and even a rotary roller for engraving cylindrical objects. The laser module itself has a power of 22 Watts and Creality claims it can cut through 15mm of wood in a single pass. The laser module has built-in cooling fans, three warning lights for the air assist, fire detection and lens contamination. The frame can fit on most desks making it a great option for hobbyists and has a large working area of 400*415mm. Considering the price and the fact that it fits on a desk, I think this is a powerful tool for any workshop. I’m excited to have this laser engraver at my disposal to help me realize many of the projects I have in mind.
    Thanks for watching!

    Hi Donny, Mate, you are doing great work for DIYers. I want to build 9.2.4 home theatre system. Can you please suggest DIY Kits(including cabinets) from parts express for LCR, Subs, heights and surrounds. Thanks in advance.

      Hi, thank you! Kindly appreciated. I haven't tried any home theatre system builds yet, so can't recommend much. I saw a relatively new kit for a soundbar, and the subs seem to favorable by most DIYers too, like this one: parts-express.sjv.io/Qy31kx

    Hello! Suuuuuper nice build really like it a lot!! but why the capacitor?

    • @goodgoat3096
      @goodgoat3096 6 месяцев назад +2

      The capacitor blocks low frequencies from getting to the tweeter and burning it out. More often there would also be a resistor and a coil on the tweeter part of the circuit.

      goodgoat that is true for speakers with bass & treble drivers, but here you only have one full range driver. In this case the capacitor is to store energy which gets used on bass heavy songs. If there was no capacitor, the sound would clip/distort on high volume & bass songs because the output peak current from voltage booster board would not be enough

    Help me with the crossover, which one should I assemble? I bought the Dayton Audio RS100-4 4” and Dayton Audio ND25FA-4 1” Soft Dome Neodymium Tweeter speakers from you! And I also want to buy components for a crossover from you, tell me which one to assemble?

    The module u are using already have battery protection so why are u using extra module??

    • @DonnyTerek
      @DonnyTerek  5 месяцев назад

      The charging module only lets for a 1A discharge, which is quite low for this speaker, hence the higher output protection board for the battery.

    All good. But I would never glue down a lithium battery with this type of adhesive. Only friction fit it or slide it into an easily removable frame. It's a pain to replace it later. And also a bit of a puncture hazard during removal as the metal case is really thin. Even worse with the soft cells that sometimes even bend.

      @DonnyTerek  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you. The adhesive is more of a sealant, doesn't attach to the wood or the plastic too well. These cells don't need to be replaced often. One good quality cell will outlast the speaker I'm sure.

      @@DonnyTereknice build, i'm building a portable speaker myself and i'm afraid the battery will catch fire..do you have any tips to avoid this? Are you not afraid the battery will get loose and shortcut or something( i have OCD ), do you still use this speaker ?
