I don’t think viewers know how much time and effort it takes to make a good video like this. Running multiple cameras, changing the camera angles, zooming in ,editing, reshooting and dealing with the reality of early season nusiances- this is all a lot of work. What sets this video aside is that it is 100% real.
I've been squirrel hunting 3 times, since season started. Killed 2, then 1, then 2. You're right. It's hard to see them in early season. I use #6 shot, with an improved modified choke(.705), until the leaves comes off. Then I go with my Marlin bolt action .22.
Boys; you ought to try a .410 shotgun in woods like that. Also, the Haydel's SW-92 Mister Squirrel Whistle gets squirrels really aggressive and makes them cuss and shake a lot so it's easier to spot them. BTW; when I use a .22 rifle for squirrels, I also use CCI CB ammo to reduce the chances of a stray bullet travelling down range.
I squirrel hunt wild country. I walk slowly listen and pop them on this side of 55 yards so I can find them after they are shot. I stalk and walk with an erratic cadence. 1-2-3 paces. . If you here a bark chances are there are others around you. . Its important to be quiet the whole time you hunt. I walk comfortable contours and keep the wind to my face.
I never have much luck hunting them early season because the foliage is to thick and you cant see them even when you know where they are in the tree tops and I almost never see them on the ground early season? I Have gotten lucky from time to time but it was just that. Once deer season is over is when I love hunting squirrel because if you are in the woods sitting still about an hour before sunset I almost always see them running from tree to tree on the ground
Trophy Black Squirrel? Here in SE Michigan it seems like that's all there is anymore. Used to be mostly Fox Squirrels with some Grays and a few Blacks here and there. Now the Fox are all but gone, you see some occasionally here and there, but mostly it's Blacks and some Grays. I certainly wish the Fox Squirrel population would come back. They're a much bigger, meatier squirrel. The Blacks are skinny, puny little squirrels.
Ya'll buy all these scents to cover up your stink, and everything you need is in the woods just waiting to be used. I don't buy any scents just the scent that God provides! Chuck
after working very hard to kill a squirrel. brake barrel guns suck. lot of fun to play with but too unpredictable never hit the same place twice. have owned many kinds and pcp is your best out there

Using a moderately accurate budget air rifle. Very nice touch. It shows realism that the average person can go out there and do it.
As a fellow indiana squirreler... love you guys

"I'm not gonna say what we're hunting today" Title of the video "How to Hunt Squirrels". I wonder what they're hunting?

I aways take 2 quarters and rub then on their sides to make a cutting nut sound
Can you put a link to that call in the description
I was honestly waiting for a break in the video to say this is a joke. Maybe if I had waited till the end I would have seen it.

Epic over the top intro, bro. LMAO
After getting to 5:22 it was time to go to the next squirrel video...nothing here guys
Looks like you need a lot more time behind the gun.

Shooting a .22 up in the is not a safe thing to do...

This what I’m wondering about. Just how big of a risk is it to shoot up in the trees with a 22?
We never hunt before the first frost, to many parasites in them till then
Chill out on the f- ink commercials. Thumbs down
Too much talking like you never talked before.
to much commercial and not enough hunting
