For Will Johnson you to understand that his left to right transitions were slowed by injuries. Like I think on the pff college podcast Dalton was able to find out that depending on his alignment on the field he had a 85 or 65 pff coverage grade, so you can see that push off really hurts him. Michigan said basically “we still need you out there.”
Great vid dude. Genuinely applaud your commitment to this channel. Will be interesting to see if there's 6 defensive picks in the top 10. Definitely would surprise me if there's more than 3.
I loved your detail and breakdown of all of the prospects, but I'm sorry, Will Johnson is a damn near perfect corner he's not falling out of the top 5.
Love the content James, 👌 I like the James Pierce pick for Titans they will need to upgrade over Arden Key and/or if Landry gets hurt again 🤞he doesn't
My main feel besides the confusion of people playing it safe with Carson beck when literally every indicator projects a Weigman to be better by literally everyone, its semi a waste of time, but also neither of them are 15 prospects by any measure and i disagree that this board is bad enough to elevate them up boards as of today. but as i was saying beyond that, i disagree with the hierarchy of this defensive line class. i personally think its bold to stack a majority of these guys in any order at this point, i haven't done so most of this class is in a cluster gridlock for me personally but if i did stack it, i don't really understand Nic Scourton over JT Tuimoloau, i don't even really get Pearce Jr over Jack Sawyer entirely, but most importantly i feel like the biggest divide between me and consensus is that i really love abdul carter upside at end along with in particular Patrick Payton. where i think those two are arguably the best athletes in the draft regardless of position. despite the tweener concerns with both, i think Patrick Payton specifically is the best pass rusher in this draft, i haven't even officially ranked him yet because i'm not totally sure exactly what he is, despite my personal favor towards him playing wide 9, so i certainly can't say for sure where anyone else in this class stacks. kudos for taking stands, its just iffy stands to me lol.
Weigman is hilarious lmao. I watched Quinn Ewers torch two first round talent Alabama cornerbacks with my own two eyes in person. Quinn played a nick Saban defense perfectly. Few quarterbacks have done that and the ones that have, have turned out very well in the nfl. Watson, Lawrence, burrow, now Ewers. He’s in pretty damn good company.
What am I missing on Luther Burden. He didn’t pop to me like waddle, Nabers, Devonta, jamarr chase. He’s not even ceedee at OU. Solid prospect a 1st rounder but not top 5 pick
@@zackhurwitz9441when he said that beck is in the tier of jj and bo nix giants didn’t think either of them were a first round qb so why would they take beck this upcoming draft
5:10 Will Anderson is literally 240 pounds. I would safely say Will Anderson would not have been frowned upon if he was taken number one by a team who was taking best player available at 1 that year.
I don't mind Travis Hunter for the commanders, but I would probably rather have either Will Campbell or Will Johnson. Not only cause they're arguably the best at their positions, but because of the chemistry they already have with other players we got. Like if we got Will Campbell, he would pair backup with our 2nd overall pick Jayden Daniels. But if we got Will Johnson, he'll pair backup with Mike Sainristil.
As a Giants fan, I think it's important to consider all our options once DJ is inevitably gone (unless we somehow win the SB). I like Beck and I agree with the Matt Ryan comparison, but I also like Ewers and Ward. Milroe doesn't impress me, tho, but maybe he'll take the next step this szn.
@@kevinfreitas6832 Yea Jalen wasn’t necessarily the most impressive last year but you have to remember the Washington coach is there now. Beck is a second round pick to me. Granted the defense this draft cycle is great and the Qb class is a lot better than people want to say

I think Beck is very efficient at what he does, but he needs an o-line to survive in the league.
i really dont want a tackle with our first pick but we might need it like you said. atp i really dont think lucas is coming back knee issues dont just go away especially when your a tackle.
Sanders not in the 1st round? Dude got smoked for 52 sacks last year and still cooked! You put a guy with no stats at QB into a Top 10 pick! 🤣 Come on my guy. Have to seen his stats.
Idk about that, it’s turned into a strength for us now that we’ve added Snead and Chidobe Awuzie, we still have Roger Mccary as our slot corner and Elijah molden and Caleb Farley as depth. IMO we need to get an Edge, RT, or WR (since Boyd and DHop both won’t be under contract next year).
I honestly might be biased but Scourtin is IMO the better prospect. I have Pierce going first in my mock but that is mainly because of what I think teams will do not what I think teams should do. Scourtin is scary athletic and fast for his size. Has a good bull rush mixed in with probably the best spin move I’ve ever seen. Pierce is good but I think has less in his bag in terms of pass rush moves and can get smothered if caught in a block, and overall has less versatility.
Id be happy with LB but Im not sure if the patriots really need a slot type receiver. I would much rather them take a tackle even if that means trading down
Conner Weigman over sheuder is the only flaw in this video, that was a huge curve ball lol if you can vouch for Conner there is definitely a case for sheuder smh
Almost shocking to see a mock without Shedeur Sanders going in the 1st Poor size Marginal physical tools Serious struggles with pushing the ball downfield and/or outside the numbers Almost oblivious to pressure Internal clock is 3 ticks too slow Offers very little as a runner, and his play extension actively hurt the team in 2023 Severely lacking experience with pro-style concepts Would-be 23.7 year old rookie Where are his NFL starting caliber tools? The only + I see in his profile is that he will have started a lot of college games by the time he's drafted. Is that it?
I'm a Saints fan and I don't want to rebuild. People forget that sometimes rebuilds don't work and you're just stuck. Also if we're going to rebuild/tank, then let's do it for a franchise qb and not a DT (I do like Mason Graham though)
I usually stay away from mocks before the season starts, shoot even when the seasons iver I usually wait till longer. But I am disappointed to see you choose a RB for the Texans. Everyone seems to be thinking mixon is done producing and Pierce is already a bust. It makes no sense, but it is hard to keep up with every single team at once. Let’s see how the season goes and I’m sure you’ll be changing your choice
Who do you think will be the 1st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?
James pierce Jr.
Between your 32 team NFL ranking video and now this, I'm 99% sure that James doesn't sleep.
The Shedeur Aanders disrespect is out of control he will most definitely be a top 10 pick next year
No he won't
