Still my favorite song after decades. I got to shake his hand at Red rocks. There with my best friend. She died a few weeks later in a car accident. But its a performance ill never forget.
Bush, nirvana, alice and chains, chevelle, deftones, foo fighters, mudvayne, stone temple pilots, slipknot, collective soul, Marilyn Manson, Lenny Kravitz, the smashing pumpkins, and many more
Got this album when it came out in mid 90’s. Loved this song then and now it has a different meaning to me now. Fascinating how a song’s meaning can change. Music is art, no doubt about it.

@@sublimerox Bro, I just randomly heard this song yesterday by a kid playing it on his Bluetooth speaker. Brings bk memories. Been playing it on repeat since last night.
I was born in '99 and im not meant for my age group i shouldve been born mid 60s or early 70's :( bush and chevelle was my second concert at the congress in chicago and i was front row
Funny thing: I used to hate this band because I thought they weren't "the real deal". Boy, was I ignorant back then. They've written some of the greatest rock songs of the 90's.
My mom bought me this on cassette when it came out when I was 9. I'm going on 32 now and this is the first time I've even looked this song up or heard it since then.
The year was 1996 probably about a week before Christmas. I was 10 years old. I remember always having my radio on at night. I could never sleep in silence. This song came on but it was just another song like music was whatever to me. When the chorus played It made me jump out of my bed and I'm yelling at my radio YEEAAA MAN!! YES! I didn't know the feeling yet. I'm 35 now and I still smile from my soul every time this song comes on the radio. Yes I still listen to music the old way almost every night ever since the first time I heard it. And now I write my own music. And I'm never gonna not love music! 🤟❤️
I’ve always been mixed on Bush. A lot of their songs are “ok” and don’t immediately get shut off or skipped but a few of their tracks (this one included) are among my favorite songs. Never have owned an album though.
I'm pretty sure I've heard this before on our local alternative radio station, but I just heard it again tonight as NBC was showing a rerun of old SNL shows and the band was playing this song. It's so good. I'm so glad I found it.
miss the one that i love a lot... miss u mom! 90s was the best era of my life, im 40+ now but this song still on my playlist one of the best ever. Nov. 2019
Bush is one of the most underrated bands of all time, their best songs are this song, glycerine, come down, but alot of people don't listen to their other shit, his voice is really good and the way he sings his lyrics is unbelievable the musicians are great also. Bush's music just don't get old
People literally let the media warp their idea of what an incredible band is. Bush has everything. EVERYTHING. Lyrics, Music, Frontman, unique sound .. like it sucks how media destroys greatness

...SONG OF THE DAY!!! Sunday September 11th 2022...Hello Ladies and Gentlemen listening to this Beautiful Song....Stopping by to speak from Melrose Park Illinois 🇺🇸...Yes i like this song..
why is it that a lot of people always try to assume Bush & Gavin Rossdale's songs are about drugs when they aren't. Just because that's the image thats painted in the listeners head, when actually most are about love this one included
Bush songs about drugs? WTF? I never heard that. Maybe some people think that they are Nirvana which Bush lyrically are nothing like Nirvana. Bush is radio-friendly post-grunge, Nirvana is raw original grunge. Bush are like a poppy version of Nirvana, Gavin talks a shit ton about love, look at Bush recent albums, most songs or a lot are about love. That is what separates post-grunge from the original grunge, post-grunge seems to talk about love more which is what Bush are, post-grunge.
Stephen King Go look at nearly any song on RUclips. They're all either about drugs, or they're about religion being stupid and blah blah blah. Don't let people's stupidity ruin things for you.
Im hearing a lot of Pixies/Joey Santiago influenced guitar in this song. Which is likely due to Steve Albini who produced both Razorblade Suitcase and Surfer Rosa.
Albini has said he felt this song was a rip off of the Pixies and would not have chosen it for the single, but it was his job to make them sound good, not write the songs.
i remember my mom playing this on the car radio from time to time when i was really young and although i thought it was just a nice song at the time, now i’m older. i moved far away from Home two years ago. i still keep close contact with all my friends and yet i’m trying so hard to pretend that my relationship with them hasn’t grown to be as superficial as it is now. i know this song isn’t necessarily about homesickness but i don’t think i’ve heard a single other song that hits as hard as this one

I am sure you experienced the 90s as fully and less than half assedly as ever as an infant and toddler.
