    The year was 1996 probably about a week before Christmas.
    I was 10 years old.
    I remember always having my radio on at night. I could never sleep in silence.
    This song came on but it was just another song like music was whatever to me.
    When the chorus played It made me jump out of my bed and I'm yelling at my radio YEEAAA MAN!! YES! I didn't know the feeling yet. I'm 35 now and I still smile from my soul every time this song comes on the radio. Yes I still listen to music the old way almost every night ever since the first time I heard it. And now I write my own music.
    And I'm never gonna not love music! 🤟❤️

      @sivaones 3 года назад +1

      @@Rinoasama2 Gen X, Y, and Millenials have overlaps in years, X and Y overlap in the late 70s until the early 80s. Millennials over lap with X and Y in the early 80s. Y and Millenials run congruent from there. My understanding is that it depends on how you were raised, not only socially, but technologically, that determines these things. These dates vary by institution. None of it is concrete, nor does it truly matter. Some charts have myself and my parents both as Gen X. Them at the start, me at the end. We’re only 20 years apart.

    BUSH - SWALLOWED (1996)
    Una de las mejores canciones del género ALTERNATIVO (y de mis favoritas 😌); la interpretación de la letra es la historia sobre un amor perdido. El DOLOR que causa tiene que TRAGARSE y seguir adelante. Y aunque estés rodeado de amigos y familiares estás "SOLO". En este mundo ella fue quien te salvó de su dolor. Y ya no perteneces aquí, así que tienes que escapar, porque la extrañas mucho. A la bNd de Gavin Rossdale los pude disfrutar en Force Fest de Teotihuacán 2018. 🤘🏿ULTRAMEGAROLOTA🤘🏿 07/01/2021

    why is it that a lot of people always try to assume Bush & Gavin Rossdale's songs are about drugs when they aren't. Just because that's the image thats painted in the listeners head, when actually most are about love this one included

      Bush songs about drugs? WTF? I never heard that. Maybe some people think that they are Nirvana which Bush lyrically are nothing like Nirvana. Bush is radio-friendly post-grunge, Nirvana is raw original grunge. Bush are like a poppy version of Nirvana, Gavin talks a shit ton about love, look at Bush recent albums, most songs or a lot are about love. That is what separates post-grunge from the original grunge, post-grunge seems to talk about love more which is what Bush are, post-grunge.

      Stephen King Go look at nearly any song on RUclips.
      They're all either about drugs, or they're about religion being stupid and blah blah blah.
      Don't let people's stupidity ruin things for you.

      His songs were not about drugs. It was his love for Marilyn (not Monroe)

    Im hearing a lot of Pixies/Joey Santiago influenced guitar in this song. Which is likely due to Steve Albini who produced both Razorblade Suitcase and Surfer Rosa.

      Albini has said he felt this song was a rip off of the Pixies and would not have chosen it for the single, but it was his job to make them sound good, not write the songs.

    i remember my mom playing this on the car radio from time to time when i was really young and although i thought it was just a nice song at the time, now i’m older.
    i moved far away from Home two years ago. i still keep close contact with all my friends and yet i’m trying so hard to pretend that my relationship with them hasn’t grown to be as superficial as it is now. i know this song isn’t necessarily about homesickness but i don’t think i’ve heard a single other song that hits as hard as this one
