No other company like Extreme Rate produces such valuable and sustainable products. It's amazing how much they're evolving! Greetings from Germany and thank you for doing such a great job.❤️
Extreme rate products are ass wdym. Everything is always slightly off a measurement or has delay or somthing always up with their products

I highly recommend replacing your analog joystick and installing the driftix kit at the same time. As many point out, stick drift is a gradually worsening issue. If you don’t replace your analog joystick as well, this is only a temporary fix. What I have found is that when I replace the analog joysticks with new ones, often they are not perfectly centered to 0,0. Installing this kit in conjunction allows me to calibrate the new joystick and be left with a perfectly drift free controller with easily as small as a 2% dead zone. You of course, will lose a max input in that same axis that you are correcting in a proportional amount to the original amount the stick is off center. You can adjust for this in many games through changing the maximum stick input percentage. Basically, dead zone around the edge of the joysticks input range. COD, for example, offers that. Hope this helps!
Hi should I change all joystick or the potentiometer is enough?
I mean look at the technology these guys come up with. Ain't no other company doing what ExtremeRate does, they're on another level. Check out their resume and just go down the list. Everything they drop is str8 🔥🔥🔥.. & not to mention the dope ahh customer service too 💯💪✌️
I appreciate ya'll 🙏
well, they didn't come up with it, there just wasn't much availability in the U.S. I have a set for a while that I ordered from china.
@@Adv3rc1ty Gotcha 👍! But Still, every tech these guys put their stamp on is official! Invented or not I appreciate them giving us "regular" gamers these options that we would never get elsewhere
Thank you bro 😄, this kit was suggested by some of our customers, and we hope to make things different or better! 😁
@@Adv3rc1ty Yes, and we tried to make it easier for installation 😁
They didn’t create this. They’ve been around a while and are hit and miss and will only work temporarily. They will however extend the life of your controller. I prefer to just replace my modules. It can be difficult to calibrate them after but I designed a jig to help alight them properly
I'm scared to solder stuff, but mad props to you all for coming up with these things. Can't wait to see what you do with the PS5 edge controller when it comes out.
I hope they find a way to add 4 buttons to the controller. That's the only downside and deal breaker for me with the edge (outside of knowing the price)

THIS PRODUCT IS THE SINGLE GREATEST THING I'VE PURCHASED! I BOUGHT 2 SETS OF THESE ALREADY!!! AND I LOVE THEM!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! EXTREMERATE THANK YOU!
P.S.
I'M SORRY FOR YELLING! I'M JUST REALLY HAPPY RIGHT NOW! I JUST FINISHED FIXING MY SECOND CONTROLLER! SO THANK YOU AGAIN. AND KEEP MAKING AWESOME PRODUCTS! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Such a driftfix board is a nice idea. But doesn't really solve your issue. Nothing against their work, but the drift is from the inside of the stickbox.
@BaamAlex U see, thats what we all think. I just finished taking out the right stick module, replaced it and soldered again, fixed stick drift, EXCEPT my controller still drifts slowly upwards to the corner😂 Prstty sure sony did some bs and made it so u get drift even when switching modules
Over 6% drift on axis 2 and you don't show the sticks going to 100% in all directions. Also these won't help you when the carbon track eventualy wears out.
Correct, after installation, the range will shorten to about 90%
Bonjour Uber Micro 🫡 say it as you see it 😁 lol.
"adjusting deviation" does it mean all you're doing is just making the dead zone larger? The drift is still there, just not visible. That's a bummer.
Thumbs up if you hate stick drift 👍😄
No body will like the drift lol
A good idea to make it easier to calibrate is if you mod the backplate of the controller so when you attach it, small tiny holes over each calibration point is there so you can stick a tiny screwdriver in and tune in without opening it back up. Maybe get a custom controller sleeve to wrap the controller in on the bottom side, so you can cover up the hole.
Or just poke it with a soldering iron!
@@BananaWarrior23
I've tried using these on my several year old dual shock controllers, the noise on the modules are too damaged and too far gone to redeem them, I'd have to get haptic feedback modules to install and it'll be a bit pricier than calibration chips. But it's not impossible.
If your soldering stuff might as well just replace the thumbstick modules.
Or just the pot, 3 points instead of all of them.
Yes, but the most difficult parts are take off the old sticks and calibrate them
Yes because these kits are only temporary. It will only work Until Analog modules completely die. Most of the time all they need is a really good cleaning with something like Bw100
Because they calibrate for stick variance at the factory, and Sony won't let us recalibrate the sticks. so a brand new stick, or even just a brand new pot, can have a different enough center position to cause drift right from the start. the precise center point of the pots is literally defined by how a few bits of plastic fit together, so there's going to be variance.
I'm hoping that Sony gives us the ability to recalibrate with the release of the edge controller, but until then, and maybe after, this product is needed, even moreso with new sticks than it is with a stick that is exhibiting wear related drift.
Awesome!! Can't wait to try this out.
Hope it will help you! :D
Your other products work great so I'm sure this will be great. Expect the clicky triggers for a ps4 controller I got. Those broke under a week.
Hey, there's an anti drift board from the guy Helder who (apparently) came up with the designs but it's one he made for an off brand controller that's pretty popular called PowerA. would love to see one like that
The fact that you still have to solder makes it pointless might as well go the full swing and completely replace the analogue box atleast then you can be sure its fixed.
What was the point of desoldering the motor wires if you need to resolder them back in the same contact points?
So this effectively calibrates the sticks again? Basically telling the sticks the centre is somewhere else? if drift gets worse you will need to open and calibrate it again?
Im assuming if it get too far off, yes you would need to replace the pot or whole assembly.
correct, if the stick gets to far off than you will a new analog stick but with this, it makes it easier to calibrate the new analog stick.
I just did this process on my ps5 controller. I changed the potentiometer and added the stick drift prevention kit and for some reason I can’t adjust the deadzone. When I rotate the stick it only shows going up and down not in a circular motion. What can I do to fix this?
Please respond!
I want to install the WHOLE Clicky Kit and DTFS LED Kit on my ps4 controller, will these systems be compatible or can I install only one thing?
Is this a patch for the potentiometer because the toggles inside the thumbstick can get flatten and so can the spring inside wear out that causes the same problem 🤔?
I would like to know about the black inslation tape used in this video.
please URL.
Please make an installation video for installing hall effect triggers on a PS5 Controller THAT WOULD BE LEGENDARY THANK YOU!
YOU GUYS NEED TO MAKE HALL EFFECT TRIGGERS I WILL PURCHASE THEM SO FAST IF YOU EVER DO THIS
The major challenge of the hall effect triggers is how to convert the analog signal into the hall without adding too many components, the space is very limited
how do you calibrate the analog stick after the install? Is it a third party program?
It’s a website
This didn’t work for me they got worse
what do I do I don't have a soldering iron thing
Question c’est pour quand la manette driff ? Ou jus ajustement central exemple. Analogue de gauche driff vert la gauche seul ceci répare?
So the thing I don't get is this daughter board with the calibration buttons, you're adding it to re-calibrate and center the joysticks, but it doesn't fix the worn out carbon disks inside the potentiometer, what happens when the carbon contact is completely worn out?
You buy a six pack of them for like $10. I think the point is that it makes it easier to pop replacements in to your controller. Normally, you'd have to manually move the disks, resolder, test, adjust, resolder, test, adjust, resolder, test, throw your controller out the window and buy a new one.
I don’t have a soliding iron
So you plug the data cord into the controller to calibrate. Are you plugging it into your Playstation or a computer?
The computer
@ExtremeRate I wrecked my pcb board holes for one of the potentiometer the 3 small holes is it possible to buy a bdm-30 controller or to buy a new pcb for it? Also mabye this part can go over the holes and it will solder into the damaged hole? Please let me know where I can find bdm-30 controller if anyone knows or the pcb board part
I'd still suggest swapping the analog. All this is doing is putting a band aid on your issue..
Yes, but if you install this with the new sticks, it will help you calibrate easier
@@ExtremeRate agreed!! Just before people get all excited that this is the end all be all solution :p lol
I agree 100% I NEVER use these.. and I de-solder them when a controller comes in with them installed.
Can this work with aliexpress hall effect sticks?
Ho acquistato questo kit ma ora mi servirebbe sapere il programma per tarare da pc grazie
It causes deadzone range decrese.
Whats the logic behind this? Like how does it fix the drift? Ive put a new joystick in my controller and still have the same exact stick drift ao im not sure if this will help since i think something more than the joystick is going on with mine.
Changing the thumbstick does nothing for drift. The potentiometer it attaches to is what causes drift the components get worn out and dirty over time and the less care and preventative maintenance that goes into it as well as harder use causes it to fail at a faster rate. These pcbs digitally correct the potentiometers ability to read input so the logic is that they correct a hardware issue on a software level
Replacing the potentiometer is also a solution but it requires soldering at higher heat level and is still subject to wear over time it’s the equivalent of buying a new controller whereas like I said these correct the input on a software level
@IXxBossxXI I think you misunderstood when I said I put in new joysticks. I replaced the entire assembly, pots and all. Like soldered a new one in. I also tried these and it didn't fix it so I assume that something else is wrong with the controller. Like something blew. Not sure what it could have been. But something on the pcb is fried or damaged. When hooked to a PC in testing mode the X axis doesn't exist. When hooked to a ps5 it's as if the joystick is stuck to the left. Any other controller I've just soldered a new one in and done. This one needs tested and the bad component replaced.
Thanks for the explanation on the product tho. Sadly it didn't help me with my problem.
I have a lot of drift, if I buy this from the control, will it be solved?
If the drift is caused by the scratches on the carbon board of the thumbsticks components (it will be like gitter in game when you move the sticks), then it can't.
Can u explain how this fixes stick drift. Is it a hall stick????
ok, so the way is works is that instead of you moving/calibrating your potentiometers before soldering the stick, you can now just solder the new stick, solder this part on the back of the board and turn the potentiometer with a screwdriver to calibrate it. It akes installing new stick or older sticks suffering from drift to be recalibrated easily to be as close to to the center of the X,Y axis.
@@Adv3rc1ty Correct!
Does it works with Hall Effect Modules too? I mean for Calibration. Thank you
for Hall effect, this is the one you need.

I heard if you fix the analog this way might change the thumb sticks radiation
Yes, will only remain 90% thumbsticks range
The indtall instructions don't fix the problem the install caused
If my dead zone was 7 then I can otkabirovat with a screwdriver and there will be a dead zone 1?
Sorry, I can't clearly understand what you mean
