    This deck looks awesome. I have a mimeoplasm sitting in my binder that I'm trying to make a budget deck for RN.

    I've been running Mimeoplasm in some form for a decade now. It was my first Commander (technically Derevi was, but I played two games with it then took it apart to finish building Mimeo, lol).
    I've got Yargle & Multani in my deck for the 18 +1/+1 counters, and I also run a copy of Wonder, for bonus flying on my side!
    Also, I adore the name of your deck. I called mine "You Shall Find Me a Grave Man" (Shakespearean quote, heh)

    I’ve only had my Mimeoplasm deck for a couple of weeks, here’s what I discovered:
    - Surveil is good, I’ll get all three MKM surveil dual lands that fit
    - It’s a +1/+1 counters deck, some synergy won’t hurt
    - Goldberry from LOTR is the Ozolith in this deck, but for 50 times cheaper
    - Satoru Umezawa is a hidden commander
    - Sidisi, Brood Tyrant is also a hidden commander
    - 30 mill effects in decklist = less fun. The deck feels “solved” if it does the same thing every time, and I didn’t even buy the cards yet.
    - More creatures for Mimeoplasm to copy = more fun, the gameplay becomes more diverse
    Overall, I’m happy with it.

      do you have a decklist online alone you’d be willing to share?

    Patchwork Crawler as Mimeoplasm question. Yes, it would get the abilities as normal. Think Necrotic Ooze.

    I just love graveyard strategies and I think Mindwrack Harpy would be a great card in this deck too!

      An excellent suggestion! I didn't even know that card existed!

    Tortured Existence & Phyrexian Reclamation are excellent inclusions to this deck as well.

    Key to the city is also a nice discard engine, especially since it can help ensure commander damage from Mimeoplasm

    my fav synergy is triskelion, it also always kan kill itself not to go to exile if you don't play it via mimeoplasm

    Grafdiggers cage doesn't work to shut the mimeoplasm down. It only prevents creatures from entering from the graveyard or cards being cast from the graveyard. Since mimeoplasm exiles the cards and then enters as a copy, this can still happen even when there is a grafdiggers cage on the battlefield. I still run it in my deck to hate on my opponents graveyards 😃

    We have many cards in common though I use many more "gotcha cards". Or creatures that just end the game Jin-Gitaxias or Sheoldred, Giant Adaphage. Or two card combos that kill instantly like Gaea's Revenge with 13 +1+1 counters on it for a hasty 21 comander damage or Putrefax casted from hand then next turn used as the Mimeoplasm with a bunch of +1+1 counters for very fast Infect wins.

    Sludge Monster is such an underrated card

      It really is. I love subtle ways to handle creatures like that.

    I use this guy as commander in my oozes tribal!

      I love this idea! I remember vaguely a bunch of Oozes from Commander Legends that made me consider it. Aeve, Biogenic Ooze, Biowaste Blob, Consuming Blob. I'm intrigued.

    Thank god you didnt go the infect route

      Putrefax casted then used as a commander is powerful. Blighted agent with a pile of +1+1 counters is nice. Instant speed Infect is also a great surprise, also al Sorcery speed you can give your whole team +1+1 and Infect for 4cmc. Infect was made for Mimeoplasm wins.

    pretty sure you choose a player as Sewer Nemesis enters the battlefield regardless of how it gets there

    Couldnt lord of extinction be used as the main Creature and some Big other creature used as the 1+1 body resoulting in a absolutely massive Commander due to its ability + 1+1 counters 🤔

    • @PlaneswalkerProject
      @PlaneswalkerProject  9 месяцев назад

      It could. Oftentimes I will have to choose which ability would be more impactful: bigger beatstick, or bigger buffs. A few builds of this had Cephalid Constable, which bounces permanents based on the damage it deals, which one swing could blow out an entire player's board.

    Are you on a budget? I don’t think this deck can ever win a game of commander unless it’s against poor people. lol seems like very little thought was put in here and you just put in a bunch of random cards that do graveyard things like every other deck. There is no spice here

    • @PlaneswalkerProject
      @PlaneswalkerProject  9 месяцев назад +5

      I'm trying to move away from leaning on the staple cards so I deliberately did not include them. I guess it could be considered a budget-friendly deck, though it is still rather pricey. If anything, I approached building it as I did my early Commander decks, back before EDH became Commander. It also is working towards being a kindred Horror deck. I've got enough higher power decks to spare, and brewing them has become somewhat boring and jaded. This is going to be one of my lower-powered decks, and maybe I'll start building it up if I feel I want to refine it further. If you have some spicy tech, I would love some suggestions!

      If you can’t win with a deck like this you’re just bad at commander. Congrats on telling on yourself!
